I had major issues with this set purchased a while ago (2 years ish). The lever to switch the ratchet direction would overextend past it's regular point, and would be jammed into place; the only way to unjam it would be to load the ratchet up (on a bolt or screw, etc) and then flick the lever back to the other direction. Also, the plastic 'teeth' around the ratchet end split in half, and then eventually the whole thing just fell to pieces at the ratchet end… Would definitely steer clear unless I got unlucky with QC.
My rachet has a cracked lever as well. Noticed outside the warranty period.
I live in an apartment, yet I keep buying these tools including 2 impact drills.
