You can purchase this Bonus $10 Smart eGift Card with $150+ Prezzee Smart eGift Card deal for the same discount and swap it for WISH Gift cards instead of just Woolworths, or a heap of other retailers. You also won't need to worry about the 3 month expiry on the bonus.

You don't need a NAB card, just use Paypal, make sure you add the code at cart and that it displays this:

    NAB
    $10 Prezzee
    $0.00
    Total

    AUD $150

You can also purchase it multiple times. I did another one last night.

    • Rookie mistake is forget to apply the promo code.

        • NAB deal: no promo code, no bonus. Check what you replied to.

    • Has anyone risked to use it more than once? Tnc says only one per user though.

      • +1

There's one report saying 3 times successful. I think so long as the promo code is accepted, it'll work.

The key is: Don't forget to apply the promo code.

      • +3

I've just purchased 3 times. No issue. About had enough so wouldn't buy more.

      • Got 3. Then bank locked.

      • +2

        got 1 few days ago

        got 2 today

        will try again tomorrow

    • You don't need to use PayPal either.

I didn't have that option my app (jist add mew card), so I just used my saved vanilla amex & got the $10 bonus. I suspect as long as you have thay "$10 bonus prezee card" listed the checkout, then you're good to go.

  • My purchase through Prezee failed with an email message unable to process your order please contact us. Yeah nah.

    • Same with purchase on apps. But work from dekstop browser

  • David Jones Bonus $10 on $100 purchase been posted?

  • +1

I bought the Woolies offer without any problems at 10:10am. The bonus $10 egift card is sent within 3 hours, so waiting for that.

Note as said previously above that the $10 bonus only lasts for 3 months after issue, so spend that one asap. Also note that under the Prezzee T&Cs for this promotion there is a maximum of 1000 bonus $10 egift cards available.

    • Check your email, I got the $10 instantly. Easy to miss…

  • +2

Nice and easy transaction. Both the $150 and bonus $10 gift card arrived straight away. These guys are so much better than Card.Gift.

Anyone else have the feeling Woolworths is going bankrupt? I recently got rid of their shares. Analyst article says it’s got the highest consumer loyalty and a good company to invest in, and that coincided with the half-price membership sale. Wouldn’t be surprised if they paid for the article too. Two weeks ago I went in to withdraw some cash, only to find out they had changed their self-checkout machines recently, you can no longer withdraw cash without making a purchase. Service desk responded the same, even though I was holding items I had just purchased from the store (forgot to cash out during payment).

It seems increasingly desperate. If I were right, there’d be more deals coming through, but I won’t bite unless I can utilise it straight away.

    • Frugal ftw huh

Anyone else have the feeling Woolworths is going bankrupt?

      You're kidding right?

Woolworths is Australia’s largest supermarket chain, boasting 1,076 stores across Australia.

      Woolworths reports $1.62b profit

      • the amounts they raked in while flogging TP/tissues/masks/etc at full price (and inflated RRP) during the pandemic was phenomenal

there's no way they could be struggling, months, almost years on end with no specials running & then after the pandemic windfall came inflation…

all the while Brad kept sending emails about buying his W/W brand to save money lol, as if he's helping the customers…

      • It’s a hunch, happy to fall on my sword :) Would actually massively short the stock if I could.

Past performance does not guarantee future ones, the black swan event that is the pandemic skewed a lot of things, and now the market self-adjusts.

This is exactly why the average person shouldn't be making investment decisions beyond "put it in a respected index fund"…

      • -1

This is exactly why you should stay out of personally handling your own investments. Some of us are happy to ask the questions, but none of us appreciate your attitude.

        • Believe it or not, that was my attempt to be "nice". The thoughts I actually had when reading your post were very different.

I'm very happy for you to ask questions, your conclusions are what I have an issue with.

Woolworths OBVIOUSLY isn't going bankrupt and the reasoning you stated to reach that conclusion - that they're desperate because they don't let you use their checkouts as free ATMs anymore - is beyond ridiculous.

          • -1

@callum9999: It’s not a conclusion, but a hunch, I was asking if anyone else had the same experience.

What is obvious about it? Their debt ratio is at all time low, yes, net margin seems to always staying at 2-3%, but it’s curious I can’t find key stats prior to 2019 or so.

Not suggesting the cash withdraw is a reason for them to go under either, was merely sharing one more data point that contributes to my personal reasons as to why I don’t want to shop there.

Gathering the sentiment on this site and some people irl, I don’t see them booming any time soon. All this adds up to a decaying dinosaur — it might take some time for it to disappear, but slowly and steadily it’ll surely get there. People would eventually see through all the markup and markdowns, thanks to all the eBay deals we had been properly trained lol

            • @frugalftw: What's obvious about a stable company that made $1.6bn profit not being on the verge of bankruptcy? Everything?

I don't think you've accurately assessed the sentiment on this site, but regardless, there's an enormous difference between "about to go bankrupt" and "not booming any time soon". If your argument was that Woolworths' growth is going to falter and, as we're discussing investments, you feel that will impact their share price, I'd have said you're making an interesting argument!

Supermarkets have had weekly promotions my entire life, when exactly are people going to "see through" them?

            • @frugalftw: They are no where near to any signs of bankruptcy. Membership discount sales are common in the initial years to attract and make customers used to it. Look at OnePass, Ebay Plus, and even old Costco runs membership offers by means of giving Shop Cards.

Their margins have always been 2-3% even before COVID. The final $$ figures went down because of sale of Fuel business and Liqour & Hotels businesses. And they didn’t sell those businesses because they need money, even Coles doing same. They sold Fuel business because of EV future and needing large investments to adopt to it. Sold Alcohol and Hotels (pubs, bar & restaurants, poker machines) because they want to appeal as “Ethical & Sustainable business” investment choice to large investment funds like ETFs, SuperFunds etc.

    • Bankrupt? No, but greedier. Taking away little conveniences bit by bit.

Little things I mean like being able to get a refund for change of mind, never came back after COVID (well can get an exchange at least now)
Still don't give rainchecks any more, and now being able to withdraw cash without purchase it would seem.

      • Didn’t think of greed, that makes some sense though. The changes don’t seem logical unless the decision makers only shop at Coles and Aldi. Like if I were able to influence store policies and prices, also as a customer myself, I would vote yes in bringing down the price of chips for starters, even if it lowers the margin. Yes I invest to make money, but if I didn’t have to spend as much, it is just as good as money returned, if not better. Hmm I wonder if they still put customer goodwill down somewhere in their p&l.

  • Accidentally deleted the new $150 card from my wallet. Hope I can get it back =O

  • -1

i dont understand why this would be a good deal…. you purchase $150 from woolworths and then you get $10 gift card… i mean if you purchased the same products else where you would save more then $10… or im not reading this right…..

    • Sure go ahead on shop around - Aldi IGA Coles eBay Amazon… but if you already plan to shop at Wollies this is a 6.25% discount

    • +3

It's quite bold to effectively claim that Woolworths don't sell a single item that's cheaper than, or not available, elsewhere! Though you wouldn't know it by the obsession so many people have with the store, their specials are often cheaper than the equivalent product in Aldi.

And that's before you get into other reasons why people may shop there. Rationally it shouldn't bother me, but it does bother me that I'm subjected to bag searches like I'm a suspected thief every time I leave Aldi - Woolworths doesn't do that. They sell numerous items I want that Aldi don't and I don't think I've ever had to queue to checkout. I always seem to spend forever waiting at the single open checkout in Aldi behind someone with 8 million items, only for a second to open up and everyone behind me in the queue runs over to it in a big scrum to be first. WW and Coles is a much more pleasant experience.

      • i didnt mention aldi and if im reading it right spending $150 to get $10 off isnt a bargain in my opinion its not even 10%..lol … each to there own basically i can pick up omo washing powder 9kg for $30 but woolworths is 7kg for $47… already saved more then $10… even fresh fruit and veggies are cheaper at the fruit shops and u save more then $10..even meat so for me i dont see the saving at all…buy the end of it if you spend $100 on fresh produce at woolies - go to the markets and youll spend half that.

        • Aldi is the only vaguely comparable alternative.

I don't buy Omo washing powder and already buy vegetables from the market. I still spend hundreds a year in Woolworths and Coles… Perhaps you don't care about saving money, but I'd question why you're on this website writing your opinion about things for free if that's the case?

          • @callum9999: not sure where your going with this most comments are personal opinion based. im asking how it works - not sure where your going with the about things for free if thats the case… its not really for free if you getting ripped off on other products to get that discount. cheers

            • @Mario g: My, admittedly facetious, point was that you're claiming a 6% discount "isn't worth it" yet you're wasting your time here chatting for free - something that's worth even less!

    • +1

The gift cards allow you to double dip on deals that are happening at woolworths.

For example spam is currently 40% off, you pay with gift cards and BAM additional 6.25% saving.

½ Price Philadelphia Cream Cheese Varieties 250g Block $2.85 @ Woolworths? Nope, more than half price with the gift cards.

You can still collect everyday rewards points on top if you have spend x get y promotions too.

      • -3

but u still have to spend that $150 initially..to get it

        • …that is how all gift cards work…

          • -2

@CodeXD: so you think your saving but really your not..they caught you out to begin with

            • @Mario g: Ah, I see your problem now.

Gift cards are reusable. You shouldn't be throwing them away after every use, you can use the remaining balance on your next shop.

        • at the same time, we are talking on daily grocery and things that you consume fast…and u still would have to buy those things often enough as I generally finished a $200 woollies gc (lucky if it can last a month) when I purchase some of the items from Amazon already.

        • Don't like woolworths products, use it to top-up Opal card (or Myki?).

  • I can't seem to see this on the app. Is this a specially marked woolworths card?

    • Search for Woolworths. But I'm wondering if it's now expired since there's no mention of the bonus on the app/website.

  • I don't see the bonus displayed on the Prezzee website anywhere

    • Me neither!
i can see it on my app, but when i try to purchase..it says invalid product and rejects the transaction

    • yeah im not seeing any "specially marked" woolies card. was it there earlier?

  • +3

Sold out. T&Cs limited it to 1000 redemptions.
    Use this instead

    • Unfortunately, we couldn't process your gift order.

Rest assured your credit card hasn't been charged. You might see a 'Pending' status on your bank account, but it will be reversed shortly.

Please contact us so that we could look into your order and help you resolve this issue

  • Still have it, Just search Brands or roll down the end, Woolwoth gift card with bonus can be found.

    • I see a Woolworths gift card but not one with the bonus.

  • +1

Damn it I bought the card without the bonus mentioned.

    • Prezzee lesson to get bonus: either specially marked or promo code accepted card.

  • Bought it late but unsure if I have click the right card. I have yet to receive the bonus

  • -1

I have to pass this one, as I am royal Coles customer

  • As a bit of an aside, how are companies getting around the newish Australian law requiring that gift cards must have a minimum expiry of 3 years? This '$10 Woolworths Supermarket Bonus eGift Card' apparently expires in 3 months, and Harvey Norman are currently offering a bonus gift card of some sort that expires after just 1 month.

    • +1

Because there are exclusions to the three year minimum expiry requirement.

If you look at the relevant ACCC webpage, it says:

Gift cards must be valid for at least 3 years

Gift cards purchased on or after 1 November 2019 must be redeemable for at least 3 years after the day they were supplied or purchased.

The 3-year rule does not apply to gift cards that are:

      • able to be reloaded or topped up
      • donated for promotional purposes. For example, a business handing out $15 vouchers to passers-by for its grand opening.
      • available only for a specified period. For example, performance of a visiting ballet company.
      • supplied at a genuine discount. For example, $60 card for a massage valued at $100.
      • part of an employee reward scheme
      • part of a customer loyalty program
      • second-hand gift cards
      • part of a temporary marketing promotion. For example, customers buy a certain product from Business A, which provides a $50 voucher to use at Business B.
      • supplied to certain charities or government agencies.

The Woolworths gift cards in this deal (and the Harvey Norman deal you also referenced) would fulfil the temporary marketing promotion exclusion. Additionally, Woolworths gift cards can be reloaded if you are instore and are doing a refund transaction, so Woolworths gift cards may satisfy the able to be reloaded or topped up exclusion.

      • +1

Ah OK, thanks for the swift response/info.

  • How can an electronic gift card out of stock?

    • When the money allocated towards the promotional activity runs out!

    • +3

@zuruhara You can still get the same bonus with the Prezzee smart card that can be converted to Woolworths or Wish.

Don't need NAB card to purchase but add the promo code "NAB" at checkout to get the $10 bonus gift card. Can use PayPal or pay directly

      • +1

        Thanks!

  • NAB promo linked at the first first comment is still running, it's actually a better promo as you can swap for a WISH gift card (redeemable across the whole WOW group) or several other gift cards
