  • Interesting only $5k min limit. Would NAB include personal PAYG income for assessment?

    • +2

This is for business customers only.

      • Thanks but that doesnt quite answer my original question. i have an ABN and registered business name, wouldnt this qualify me as a business customer?

So can i supplement personal payg income for assessment?

        • +3

First, you need $75k of business income to be eligible to apply for a business card.

Second, your personal income will be considered for whether you can service the card.

When does this deal end? About to churn off a card

    • +1

      Literally says in the post.

      • +3

Sounds like I need to spend $5k at Specsavers, thanks!

  • FInd it hard to + this deal as its for "Business customers". Meh.

    150,000 bonus Qantas Points

A bit pointless when we can never use them for flights…

    • You do realise you can also use Qantas points for Emirates flights too.

      • -6

Try booking a flight to EU when the kids are on school holidays…

        • Book some different flights… Plenty of options.

          • -6

@Nand0sx: I'm restricted to the dates I can travel.

            • +5

@jv: At this point its clear youre restricted to whinging

            • @jv: Try velocity then for rewards seat to Europe. Much better chance

              • +2

@adrianhughes1998: Why would you even borther entertaining jv?

              • -2

@adrianhughes1998: I hardly have any velocity points. Have close to a million Qantas points though and can never find a flight when I need one.

                • @jv: Have to be flexible, in terms of when you can go and with points programs. I have my feet in both and haven't had issues with velocity to Europe and Middle East. Qantas I've used for Pacific islands and South Africa.

  • Term and conditions not mentioning anything regarding being new customers.
Will I be eligible if I apply for new credit card?
I already have this credit card. I do not want to close this credit card.
From my experience, this is the best credit card out there.

    • Curious as to why its the best. $295 for 0.66 points for dollar.
Only good thing is that its a mega cap per month
ATO payments still earn the same amount for about a 0.75% surcharge.

      • No no. You can do ATO BPAY without any additional charges and get full point from your credit card.
There are others Provider to get maximum points from AMEX by paying 1-2% where as this one is free.

        • Can you elaborate on this? I just got approved from this card and would like to know how I can hit the min spend using ATO payments and not incur fees.

          • @tommynolips: Pay the ATO using BPay and it will not incur any fees.
You can do up to 50K and get points.

I am not sure if this satisfies the creteria of minimum spending as I fulfilled my requirements from normal purchase.

            • @Bargainseeker43: Thankyou for the info @Bargainseeker43 - I will dig into this. I was going to use a service like b2bpay or sniip to pay my ATO payments using the card, but while I know that will contribute towards the spending requiremnets, the fees are quite high! I'll look into this.

              • +1

@tommynolips: Found B2B pay a bit of rip-off in fees. Only used it once with intro point bonus.

        • If this is true and you can use you NAB business card to pay for Bpay bills - this is an ultimate hack! Will try next bill…..

          • +1

@milobob: Correct. I have been doing it from last 12 months. Very good.

            • @Bargainseeker43: hey mate, i was just approved for this credit card and i would like to pay for bpay bills. Do i need to have a NAB bank account to be able to pay bpay with my credit card? I havent banked with nab prior

              • @Gilbertimus: Okay my credit card account is showing now so transfer/pay tab there is bpay.
I wanted to clarify so I talked to 2 business banker and they said bpay is cash advance so i would get charged fee around 27% and no point i can earn.

Then last person i talked to was a person from a credit card reward team and she said business card can earn points with bpay and ato bpay as well but refused to confirm whether bpay is cash advance or not.

I have huge bills to pay so im little worried if i get 27% fee charged 😅 fingers crossed 🤞

                • @Gilbertimus: No cash advance. It’s just like regular purchase.
I have paid more than 100Ks to ato with this method no issue.

              • @Gilbertimus: Just do Bpay from credit card account.

  • Is this the one where you have to connect your account management software?

    • Yup! I think the ANZ one is the same.

  • Sad, got this when it was 100,000 bonus points! Grrr

    • Me too!! Got it couple of months back.,,

  • If only I had a business.. this is a good deal, 150k for $295

  • Just want to know the minimum income required for that card, it is a good deal.

  • Any way you can create an ABN to sign up for this?

    • Usually not, need to prove ABN income over a period of months, maybe 1 yr

    • ABN is easy to create. The $75k pa business turnover is not so easy.

      • Just have to start declaring the ozbargain deal we buy, and then sell later for a profit.

        • +1

$100,000k on capital expenses from ozbargain. I dont even know what my business does yet.

  • need to be registered for GST?

  • Anyone applied yet?
    What documents they will require?

    • If you already have a business account with them.. don’t need any documents. It was conditionally approved straight away and then I received a phone call as there were 2 directors listed on ASIC and I decided to remove one.

The agent said they will be able to fully approve it once ASIC is updated

      • So, they did request any recent BAS or tax returns?

        • no - it may be because of the fact that I have my Business account with them for over 2 years and they have visibility of all the transactions.

  • Any thoughts on this one vs the one from ANZ? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/810470

    • +2

      Get both

  • Can you apply for this if you had personal card in the last 12 months and still get the bonus points?

    • +1

From what I know, personal and business cards are treated separately and I dont see any clause on that in the terms.

      • Cheers. Seems like a similar deal to ANZ one in that case :)

        • +1

Yes, I have applied for both ANZ Personal and Business cards in the last month + NAB personal and business.
Will pause now for few months

  • Is it like the personal cc that you can re-apply after 18 months?

  • Unless one is using accounting software can't apply online, need to call them.

    • Did anyone do it this way?

      • They want your accountant to send in some evidence of profit/loss/financial statement etc.
By the time this cost is factored in, it's not worth it :(

        • I wonder if you can just send in financial statements yourself as that wouldn't cost anything…

  • +1

First statement generated today. Spent $4000 in the first statement period. Charged $295 towards annual fee however the qantas points earned is only 102667

    • Did you call them about it?

      • Yes they have raised an escalation.

        • Got the extra 50k credited and annual fee waived for the first year.

          • @SydOzber: Did you raise the issue with the Business Servicing Team or another team?

            • +1

              @tommynolips: Customer servicing

              • @SydOzber: First statement was generated 28 December.
Second statement has not yet been generated (thought it'd be 28 Jan..)
I hit the min spend in early January, I'll update here as to whether I get the full 150k bonus points or not

          • @SydOzber: did you do/say anything to get the first year annual fee waived? thinking of joining..

  • The application always throws an error after linking the accounting software. Is anyone else having issues with MYOB?

  • I just got my first statement. Spent >10K on ATO payments in the last statement period but no Qantas points earned, or Qantas bonus points credited. I guess I'll have to phone up :/

    • Have you got the points yet?

      • Yep, I phoned up and there had been an issue at end of month with posting of points. It took a few days after the statement was issued for points to come across

        • Sweet. Thanks mate

  • Can we load revolut / wise to fulfill that spend criteria. Have anyone tried this?

  • can anyone confirm if paying ATO (business income tax/BAS/super contributions/PAYG W) is counted towards the min spend criteria?
when I was applying online, it asked "What is the predominant purpose of this application?".

when I chose "Payments to the ATO for overdue tax debt", it then said "This product can not be used for the purpose of ATO payment. Please contact your banker or NAB on 1300 615 746 (Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 6:00pm, AEST/AEDT except for public holidays) to discuss your needs."
