The Xmas Jetstar sale just dropped, with some pretty sweet prices! All flights are direct, and of course don't include bags at these prices. I didnt search out every route to save time, but in general dates are from late January or February to June 2024 (depending on route). All prices are for return flights.

FYI this is the Club Jetstar presale ($55/year for membership) - the public sale starts at midnight tonight. To book these go straight to the Jetstar website. Sale ends at 11.59pm on Sunday December 17th, but if you see something you want, don't wait as the best prices usually sell out quick.

Jetstar… youll be lucky if you get there or home honestly.

Looking at the recent history on flights to Bali they seem very reliable.

Qantas currently has a higher cancellation rate, and Virgin the same cancellation rate as Jetstar - but let's not let facts get in the way of a good Jetstar bashing!

      • +3

Good data, i guess i was burnt too many times and swapped away and havent looked back. Never had a cancellation of any virgin flight, sure some delays but who doesnt love a delay

If you have flown JetStar - which going by your username, you have. They deserve all the bashings thrown their way. They only seem decent now after having their brand bashed to disfigurement.

A friend of mine was flying Jetstar to Japan via Cairns last week, yes her flight got cancelled BUT she got put on a Qantas direct flight instead. With baggage, at no extra cost.

    • We just flew direct to Japan and back and had no issues. Didn't check our bags for weight, gave us extra food on plane, was super chill.

If anything, I've had significantly worse experiences with Virgin atm, completely (profanity) my flights/appointments due to delays.

    No love for Perth :(

Quit your job and come east ;)

I did look! Domestic routes only from Perth :(

    • Its a big middle finger to Perth

No airlines offer discounts over the peak travel period - this has nothing to do with the "average Aussie".

    • I meant (and I think Jetstar meant) it is a deal they have released for Xmas, not a deal covering Xmas dates. Xmas is always one of the most expensive times to fly. Thats just down to supply and demand unfortunately.

  • Unfortunately its no working for the other way around. Have a relative from Bali visiting Sydney

Melbourne Bali at $308 is cheap!

  • Just booked Mel to Balie for about $315 each in Feb. Great deal! Forgot I had a Club Membership too (darn auto renew). Glad I'm making the most of it now :)

  • Went to book and the special fares to Phuket have completely changed (disappeared) smh

    • what departure city and which dates?

      • I’m trying to find Sydney to Phuket around March anytime

I searched last night and found it for around 270 at about 10pm then checked again 30 mins ready to book and couldn’t find nothing

I was wondering if they track VPN’s and Jack the price?

        • Yeah the sale pricing disappeared… was 300 to bali and now it’s back to 600

  • Can't find any prices there and return for <$500 for Japan, everything one way $300-500, then return another $500, so if there's a discount it's the same every airline does sadly.

    • +1

The only good Japan fares, (in my opinion-as listed above), were from Cairns or Brisbane.
I didn't bother to include the other ones from other departure cities as I didn't think they were good enough.

  • Has someone managed to find Brisbane-Bali tickets for these prices? All I see is $500 or more for return and tried different dates.

    • I am still seeing return fares for $352 BNE - DPS. Just now I found May 6 - 14 for example, and loads of other dates around that same time.

  • just received the email from Jetstar says our flight from SGN back to MEL has been cancelled and needs to transit at SYD.

  • $580 BNE to KIX return is still pricey for the bare bones Jetstar experience.

    • Its not amazing, but its nonstop and Jetstar are the only airline that flies nonstop to Osaka from Brisbane. I thought it was still worthwhile - other airlines are siting at around $1200 return. So I think a $600 saving would be appealing to bargain hunters :)

      • Fair.

Doesn't fall into long weekend territory though which is the sweet spot for JS imo. Gimme $400

I'd rather go via Singapore or Seoul or Taipei for $400/$500 more with very long layovers and luggage if going for a long week, Might just be me though.

Brisbane to Seoul nonstop for $471 I thought was excellent!
