Not bad, but still way cheaper on Black Friday / Cyber Monday (at least for 75" and 85", not sure about the smaller ones). Would suggest HODLing for Boxing Day sales unless you're desperate (in which case why didn't you buy one on BF, ya dingus?)

    • Yeah I got my 85” for $2688 delivered… so almost $200 difference… I would HODL if people can

On the market for one. It seems that no good deal available on Boxing Day 😔

  • I have bought the 75 inches on black friday around $1660 with around $130 cashback with CR. With free delivery. ☺️
I assume boxing day will see similar or even better deal.

    • Was it the one from Bing Lee?

      • Yes that one.

        • I am still waiting for the delivery, recently received an email advising items will be delayed.

          • @vijumn: I am waiting too. I called them today and they said this Saturday. Hope it comes and not delay. Based on QLD

@shahrah: That is good, in time for Xmas. I am based on Sydney, will call them

  • Cheapest deal so far. Cashback makes it even cheaper: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/816634

Better to wait for boxing day.

A great deal for smaller sizes e.g. the 50" less than on BF

Is the C845 the best MiniLED currently on the market? I know the X95L is probably the absolute best worldwide but Sony seem to be taking their sweet time bringing it here.

Bought the 85" on black friday for the $2688 or whatever it was plus some GCs. Very happy with it, replaced a 75 TCL c745 or similar and the miniled is night and day compared to "array" dimming.

Compared to my 65 OLED Sony and 48 OLED gigabyte, the TCL doesn't have the black blacks but the brighter display makes the colours really vibrant

    • I wouldn't go that far, but easily the best value for money.

I'm very happy with mine. So far everything looks great, 4k uhd discs, f2a tv, 4k console gaming.. just haven't watched any sport yet.

…and the sound isn't too bad either. I'm in the process of doing an Atmos 7.1.2 setup though.

      • I’ve watched Big Bash on my 85” & think the quality is super impressive

Simplest way would be to say

      The c845..

Has amazing brightness and HDR pop.

Just No where near as close accuracy, blooking control and image clarity

TCL make great panels, their software is still about 4 years or so behind someone like LG or sony though

THE TCL shines as it gets 95 percent of the job done,at like 1000 bucks less.

    • The C845 or the Hisense U8KAU?

      • Hisense only if you exclusively use a fire stick, Xbox etc. Hisense OS and app support isn't great

      • C845, I'd avoid hisense like the plague. I've had 2 hisense TV's, 1st hisense died couple months after 3 years. I got another hisense as replacement (u7hau). I've had my new TV for about 9 months, I have constant issues with it holding 120hz when I game. I need to keep turning TV on/off, I've also had the right half of the screen go really dim the first time it happened just after 2-3 months of owning TV. All up the tv right side dimming has happened 5 times till now, I fix it the same way as the frame rate issue. I have a feeling this TV will last another 6 months at best. Never again will I buy another Hisense

This or wait for 48" C3

    • I'm in the same boat, who knows when the 48" C3 is going to drop in price and how much, but I'd prefer to wait for the C3.

I got the 75” c845 for $1500 on the 30th Nov, or there abouts

  • No stock for the 85. Mine is still on backorder from BF sale . Expected 28th Dec

    • That's a bit cheeky of them. You should get compensated for such a long wait

      • +1

They did ask me if I was will to wait. But good news yesterday I got an email and delivery is now this Sat

  • mind explaining how does this cashback thingy work? is it offered by the retailer themselves or a third party?

    • Which cashback you referring to?

      • Any of it I suppose, in general. I kept reading people get $ back from cashback(i don't know which) and the TCL Tv ended up way cheaper so just wanted to know how this all works.

        • Yeah as below there's third parties like Cashrewards, ShopBack and TopCashback. JB Hi-Fi isn't offered on any if you were wondering (apart from gift cards).

    • Third Party - be happy you received the discount at purchase and then sad as you wait many, many months for the cash to arrive.

      • Which third party ones should I look out for? I know about discount via gift cards but this cash back thingy is new to me.

go to another post like this: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/819999. There are little icons under the image, hover over these and click to see various cashback providers where that is an eligible deal for them. OZB has referral sign-up deals for some of these providers so if you decide to sign up you can usually get some kind of bonus. I think they track and may even trade your buying activities, might be worth looking at all their T&Cs first to make sure you are comfortable.

Will definitely add TCL mini led 85” tv on my list. Still rocking a lg c1 55” inch oled tv.

  • purchased the 55" on black friday at jbhifi for $1180.

Now it's randomly cheaper for no reason(shouldn't be black friday the best time of the year to buy TV?) .. can I ask $32 refund?

  • Has anyone tried to return their tv after changing their mind?
I thought jb had change of mind returns, but cant find it on their website any more

  • Has anyone got feedback on sports on one of these? Particularly how "natural" picture (eg colours)and motion look.

got the 55inch version(long story had to pickup at another branch as my local didnt want to do the offer price and just said no stock/couldnt find the TV)

Assembly was a bit fiddly, stand consist of solid metal baseplate but then screwed into softer/flimsier plastic connecter to the main TV.
TV was too bright out of the box as it has adaptive brightness and somehow maxed out the brightness when we had lights on.
had to turn that off and did brightness at about 50 was just nice. Otherwise beautiful panel, nil dead pixels, excellent startup and response time, even did a firmware update right out of the box once i got internet connected. It also detects my gaming card right away when hooked up the HDMI input. Got its own TCL channel/platform.
