50% off Virgin Voyages Sea Terrace Cabins (Exclude Taxes & Fees) Depart MEL or SYD @ Virgin Voyages

600
VIRGINMONEYAUSTRALIA

We’re giving you an exclusive 50% off Sea Terrace Cabins on select sailings through March 2024 — and the chance to experience our multi-award-winning, exclusive adult voyages this summer. Please note, the discount applies to the reduced inaugural season rates.

At the "Summary Page", enter the coupon code VIRGINMONEYAUSTRALIA as the "access key" to trigger the 50% discount.

Received as an email as I was a Virgin Money customer, but the offer appears to be generic on their website. Even if not, perhaps the coupon code is generic. If anyone books a holiday, report back and I can update. Unfortunately, their website is giving a 404 if you try and check the details of any cruise - hopefully they fix it soon. Edit: I was having issues with the website with adblockers on. You may have more success with adblockers / content blockers disabled.

Book before: 28 December 2023
Sail window: 29 December 2023 - 2 March 2024
Eligible voyages: Departing Sydney or Melbourne.

Applicable to:

  • 29/12/23 Resilient Pacific New Years Ahoy
  • 12/1/24 Maori & Australian Shores

  • 19/2/24 Sydney Melbourne & Burnie

    Virgin Voyages

    exclusive adult voyages

    Vessel: Resilient Lady

    squints suspiciously

  • I couldnt work out where to use the code

    • +1

Well, the whole website is broken for me at the moment, so let me know if you have any more luck.

The email sent to me gave the (above) coupon code, but the generic website linked in the deal doesn't suggest that it's necessary.

      • -1

Try to use a laptop/desktop as it seems to work on full website instead of mobile page. You get to put in the code and click ‘validate’ once you have selected the cabin type. On the mobile page, the code does nothing but on full website, the discount appears after that.

I was seriously keen until I found out that I can’t take my kids with me.

        • I was already on desktop, and still having issues, but I turned off my adblockers / content blockers and the website is working better. I'll leave some notes in the deal post. Thanks.

    • -1

      Are you even eligible ??

    • +1

You enter it in a field called "Access Key".

Did a dummy booking for Melb to Hobart 4 nights 27/2 - 2/3 for $1748 in a regular Sea View room or $1912 for two people in a "locked in rate" Sea Terrace room. Seems decent, was coincidentally looking at Virgin Voyages this morning. Although doesn't seem like you can pay with Velocity points which is super weird? When i looked this morning on the VV site, it linked to Luxury Escapes and you could use points. Weird.

This is not a very helpful comment. I put quite a bit of time and effort into compiling the deal post. As evidenced by comments above - it is helping people, such as those who were already looking at Virgin Voyages today and did not know about the deal.

It's quite common for deals which post a flat rate discount across multiple products to not have a price in title. The 50% discount is stated in the title. There are different cruises available, so it's impossible to state a price in title. Yes, you could put an example price, but as stated in the comment, I can't confirm them as the booking system is currently down, and there are very different classes of cruises (varying lengths, and domestic and international destinations). If the mods prefer me to put an example price in title, I am happy to comply.

Recent examples of no price in title: Flat 15% discount on Airalo Sims
Further 50% off already reduced sale prices at CK / Tommy Hilfiger

Instead of parroting deal rules in circumstances where they don't make much sense, please think about whether you are actually contributing to the community.

"This code is available to you as an eligible Virgin Money customer and should not be shared"

Richard is gonna come and get you.

Although in all seriousness - I was considering perhaps booking - hoping that sharing it widely on Ozbargain doesn't ruin it.

  • +1

I was on the resilient lady on Sunday night when it was docked in Melbourne. Very impressed

    • Sounds like a fine lady to me

      • She’s very resilient I must say

Did a dummy booking for the 12/1/24 Maori & Australian Shores trip. Came down to $3598 for the 11 nights which seems like a great deal. It started off at $6074 before the discount code was added and couldn't figure out why it wasn't $3000. Looked closely at the breakdown and The 50% off doesn't include the taxes.

    The Sea Terrace
    Sailor 1 A$2,477.06
    Sailor 2 A$2,477.06
    Tips Included
    Taxes and fees A$1,120
    Cabin total A$6,074.12

    Limited Time Offers Applied -A$2,476.12
    Voyage total A$3,598

Probably a usual practice but thought I'd mention it.

If only I hadn't bought all those cheap soft drinks and Powerade from Amazon Warehouse this week…

    • -1

Was that price for 2 people?

      • +3

        2 sailors = 2 people

    • Maori & Australian Shores trip

      Wtf…

  • +1

Invited for a dinner on board the Resilient Lady when it moored in Sydney. We thought it suits young people, or those who're young at heart, who love fun and parties.

    • +3

or those who love free food and drinks

      • +1

and tattoo. there's a tattoo parlour onboard, along with gyms, swimming pools, hair salon, casino, bars and restaurants.

    • I was on the maiden voyage, Sydney - Melbourne. It was great. Shows were very sexually charged, so definitely for younger adults. Food was great. Ship was nice.

This is one of the few cruise lines that don't offer an unlimited drinks package. Drinks sound reasonable price when you're on board, but it's in usd, so they are quite expensive once converted. ($4 small coffee becomes $7au)

Having an app to msg for room service worked surprisingly well.

      Incredible value for the money.

  • "Nothing to see here. I mean except for this adorable seal. So, yeah, one thing to see here."

  • Wow, their support is overseas and doesn't start working until 9pm aest. Also the discount code applies but does not adjust the price.

  • How did you get $2,646/cabin for Resilient Pacific New Year's Ahoy? Applied the code and it's A$3,861

    • +1

The price in the description is what appears on the website when you use an adblocker and are in USD before discount.

  • booked 2/3/24 Melbourne to Melbourne ( & Burnie ) and paid with Virgin money CC but only got a payment reminder email rather than a confirmation.

  • How to get Melbourne to Hobart (5 nights) for $682/cabins? It only works out to be $1300ish for me

  • +1

Is these prices mentioned in description sold out ? Code is working but can see a lot higher prices on checkout.

    • Prices mentioned in description are the “from” prices advertised on the advertisements.
A comment above stated that the total discount doesn’t apply to taxes. ymmv

    • +1

Same here, factor in the taxes and still a lot higher than the post mentioned

      • +1

@argonide above suggests the example fares are USD.

    • same here, I believe prices are going up with bookings

  • I got an email from ME Bank this morning with the same offer but with a “unique” discount code for ME Bank customers.

    • +1

      Guessing your code is MEAUSTRALIA
Got same from Bank of Queensland. BOQAUSTRALIA if anyone needs it

  • -1

    Kids allowed?

  • +1

The 5 nights cruise is almost cheaper than my rent… What is life anymore lol

    • +1

AirBnB your rental for 5 nights - free cruise.

  • +1

    not really cheap

  • Thanks OP.

    Good deal.

Shame that Virgin Voyages does not show the actual price including taxes and fees until checkout - isn't that illegal in Australia?

Anyways, the 5 night from Melbourne on 27/1/23 is $930 including taxes, so ok, but not that great.

    • +1

Is it all inclusive of food and drinks?

    • I think you're looking at prices in US Dollars. The US prices don't include taxes and fees but those in AUD do earlier in the booking process. I'm seeing $1398 AUD for the cabin on 27/1 (which is about the $930 USD you have mentioned).

      • Wow, quite pricey then.

Is there a direct link to see actual total prices in AUD?

        • not a bad deal really, fairly new ships, they seem to include basic drinks, coffee/water and wifi.
          Alcohol is really well priced.

  • Just getting 404 errors when trying to go into explore any of the cruises

    • Try disabling adblockers / content blockers.

  • Any Brisbane cruise deals?

    • Nah those big city folks think we're hicks

  • do we need to be virgins?

    • They will ask for your cherry

  • +2

It does not seem to work. Says applied however still $1495 the code did not alter the price. Am I doing something wrong? Putting it in under acces key

  • +4

If anyone is interested my travel agency can apply this promo AND provide you with onboard credit (Sailor Loot) which varies based on the length of the sailing.

Win-Win. You still pay Virgin Voyages directly - nothing else changes.

Just PM me for a quote or reply here and I'll let you know what the amount would be. It won't be massive (because the fare is so cheap) but it will be better than nothing!

For the shorter ones it is likely to be around $25USD and the longer ones $50-$75 USD (even though the fares are in AUD sailor loot is USD)…

N.B. we are ATAS and IATA accredited.

    • I am interested. Unable to PM you as I'm a new account. Are you able to PM me details? Thanks

        • Thanks. I have put the cabins on hold but cannot find button to email you?

I have enabled inbound PM, could you try reach me again?

        • Unpublished previous comment due to link changing new link below:

Sorry, I can't message you either because you are too new!

Basically most of these cruises we can provide $25USD Sailor Loot (OBC) for the 3 day ones and $50USD-$75USD for the longer ones

          Booking Link

You can create your booking using this link - just make sure you choose the correct cruise date and use the access key in the original post. (only certain cruise dates are eligible, so keep that in mind - use the original post details). Choose "hold booking" and I will review it to make sure it's all in order and then let you know you can proceed. If the cruise is coming up soon - it may not let you hold the booking and payment in full is required immediately.

In the top right corner of the screen you'll see the button to email us. You can get in touch that way.

          • +1

@meowsers: Just a reminder, for everyone - I will either reach out via your nominated email in your booking hold / confirmed booking, or you can PM here.

    • Keen on this. On the VV, I cannot seem to book for two cabins. I’m looking for a cabin for just myself and another cabin for two (friends). Are you able to assist? Would like the two rooms to be close together.

      • Yes, can do a linked booking just send me a PM, thanks.

    • Are there time limits on when this can be done? Aka if we booked via a previous deal

      • If you haven't made you final payment and you originally booked direct with Virgin Voyages, we might be able take over the booking and still sort something out for you.

  • Just jumped on this. When i tried to book as per the post the access code didnt alter the price. However booked via meowers link (direct with virgin) and the code worked and obtained the credit. All went well and easy to deal with. Booked the 5 day Melb to Hobart.

    • Did the credit apply automatically using meowser’s link?

      • +1

Yes but it doesn’t come down to what is in the post as I think that must be USD then taxes added. Came to about $280 per couple per day for the balcony sea view room (sea terrace) plus $50 US Credit

        • @ern123 was the $50 US Credit listed on the Summary page or payment page when you checked out? or did it get added to your booking after you paid because you clicked via @meowsers booking link? I'm trying to make a booking but can't see it listed anywhere and didn't want to continue with the booking in case I was doing it wrong as "hold booking" is not an option and payment is required straight away.

          • +1

            @nightowl79: Hi Nightowl,

As long as you see "Sold and Serviced by Travel Ease" in the top left corner I'll be able to add the credit after you book. You can't do a held booking because I am assuming you are trying to book within 45 days of the cruise.

The website is having major issues right now so the booking like may intermittently load, as others have said disable your adblocker and try again if it's not working.

          • +1

@nightowl79: It’s US50 shows as $80 Au on my booking email from Virgin voyages. It didn’t show on my payment page however appears on the confirmation email later as “sailors loot”

      • +1

The OP who posted this deal (ts13) browser was probably set for US-ENG hence they were getting USD prices.

Essentially once you use the Australian site you are quoted in AUD and charged in AUD. All sailor loot is USD because all on board charges are converted.

        :) Hope that helps.

Once you book using our link and the OPs access key we manually apply your sailor loot credit based on the duration of the cruise.

        • Cheers, was a bit confused with everyone mentioning USD because all my figures stated “A” next the prices.

Going to do some further thinking this weekend and will PM you if booked. Looking at 4 night Melb to Hobart. Real shame can’t use points as I also need to buy return flights from SA so it would help keep the cost down.

  • Terrace cabin is that a fancy way of saying balcony?

    • Yep - Sea Terrace is a Balcony room.

  • code doesn't work for me either, no price change after putting it in access key. It says it's been applied but no price change

  • Thanks OP - on the list but recently booked a short cruise for Easter from a previous deal. These cruise comments usually lead with "get a refund on the tips from concierge when you board, that are built-in to the cost". Are these also structured that way? (for those that prefer to tip directly for good service not just on US convention)

    • All gratuities are included on Australian sailings.

  • +1

I like how completely and utterly broken the website is.

    • It seems to work better if you disable ad blockers and content blockers.

  • Wow, their advertising campaign must worked!
I booked a couple of weeks ago when the same deal was posted and there was about 4 comments.

I came here to see if any bargainaires have any codes for bar tabs?

    Cheers

    • +2

Our agency can help - you still book direct via Virgin but we can give you some OBC so win-win.

Just PM me if you need any help.

        • +2

If you haven't paid in full we can still add the credit. If you have paid in full Virgin doesn't allow changes from an agency.

But otherwise no, there are no codes for Bar Tabs currently.

The best you could do would be a status match if you hold elite status. That will get you $100 bar tab and plenty of extras which can still be combined with this offer.

          https://www.virginvoyages.com/sailing-club/eligible-loyalty-…

          • @meowsers: @meowsers can you PM me your contact details? I'm unable to book online for some reason, and am wanting 2, possibly 3 rooms. :)

            • +1

              @mparf: Done!

              • @meowsers: Hi Andrew,

Trying to PM you but it's not working. We have a booking on hold through your agency. Can you please PM me?

      • Booked through the link @meowsers provided and I can vouch for the help we got from Travel Ease getting a good room (and the sailor loot of course). Looking forward to our virgin virgin voyage 😊👍

        • Same, @meowsers helped out and arranged our rooms for two cabins in different categories, very responsive and helpful, and highly recommend. Get in touch with Travel Ease if you are keen on booking this cruise.

      • I booked and put on hold payment for a cruise from Sydney from 19 February. Can you add the sailor loot ?
        Thanks

        • PM Sent. Thanks and Merry Christmas.

  • Outstanding service provided by @meowsers for our family booking. Answered a bunch of questions, arranged cabins next to each other, linked bookings and provided sailor loot (OBC) for each cabin. Can 100% recommend booking via Travel Ease's link above. Thanks once again @meowsers it's greatly appreciated!

why adult only? Australian society is becoming very anti family

    • There are plenty of family cruise lines, this is just another option for those seeking an adults-only experience. More choice = Better experiences for all.
