Or turn your AMS into a filament dryer..

    • You can use an AMS as a dry box but not as a heated filament dryer.

I use a kmart food dehydrator and a 20L pail from bunnings with some holes in the bottom (which becomes the top). Holds a heap of spools and dries nicely up to 70 degrees.

And you can still use the dehydrator as a food dehydrator…

    • I do the same. I suppose though with this unit you have the ability to print while it’s being heated. This I've read offers the best result. My printers all have enclosures so i tend to preheat the chamber and the roll stays warm the entire time but i could see this feature on the sunlu unit useful for those who don't have the space for an enclosure and want to keep the filament as dry ad possible up until printing.

This is by ultra-budget setup for keeping filament dry.
        1. dryer as described above.
        2. 5.5L Sistema tub ($6).
        3. Printed filament turntable inside.
        4. Dry box filament tap.
        5. Some couplers and a bowden tube.
        6. Optional Silica gel holder inside the spool, or just chuck a bunch of packets in there.

This essentially makes a closed system, so you dry it and throw it straight into the tub and can put the cap on the tap when not using, then take it off and feed it through to the printer when required.

Been working pretty well for me so far, mostly used for PETG so far.
