they are not posted, as these cards are garbage. they cant play 6+ year old games at 720p.

save your money, there ae better sff cards out there

    • +1

I'm not going to build something that small, but what cards are the same size but better, 3060 LP?

    • +1

Well I play fine at 1080p with my 2gb card so I doubt that. Also reviews are overall positive for the card - not many SFF option. What better SFF cards are there? You can pay more for a 1650 if you like..

      • -2

but you can get a 1650 4GB for this price

        • yeah and be stuck on pcie 3. I couldnt find a 1650 for $209, can you?

          • +4

            @asCMSas: the 6400 only has x4 on pcie4, so it's gimped af. A 1650 runs 16x on PCIE3, double the bandwidth.

          • -1

@asCMSas: literally a month ago, there were plenty of stock available - sold out now but clearly shows price right there -_-

@ChatCPT: That is a dual slot card you linked. Won't fit in most SFF PCs

            • -1

@ChatCPT: Except it's not a low profile card - "Low Profile Bracket not included"

              • -1

                @Nom: Really now?

                • -1

@ChatCPT: Yes, why did you downvote me ?! Downvoting a correction to your error, is bonkers.

It specifically says on your UMart page "Low Profile Bracket not included"

                  • -1

@Nom: 🤦🏽‍♂️ Just because the bracket is sold separately doesn’t mean it’s not a LP card.

The bracket is $10. Geez. Stop crying

                    • @ChatCPT: That's not how it works - graphics card brackets aren't generally interchangeable between vendors. Different vendors use different mounting methods and put the ports in different places.
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004324024507.html is the LP bracket for the MSI 1650, which won't fit this Galax card.

If you're going to source your own bracket, you'll need to find the Galax bracket for this card, and it doesn't appear to be an available part.

For $209 brand new I don’t what you expect. Also, this video shows that it does play 6+ year old games at 1080p…

    • Yeah thats not true. And what better single-slot low profile cards are ¨out there¨ then?

  • +3

the fact you could buy a series S for $40 more on marketplace which will game at 120hz…. this is horrendous value.

    • oh a used Xbox series S, then pay a subscription for gamepass? yeah not my type of value. a PC can do more than one thing

      • +1

so can a series S and a $50 office PC?

        • So a second hand Xbox can be found for the same price as a 2022 4GB LP GPU and whats your point? Depends on your use case doesn't it

    • +3

technically this can game at 120hz too

      • Correct, also this can be a toolbag card

  • +2

I dont know about the x4 pcie bus and using it on pcie 3.0 but presumably it'd still be faster than a 1030

Yeah seems to be doing alright. Disregard.

  • +1

Yeah I can vouch that a 1650 are best if you have any sff, I paid sub 300 last year. Don't forget that all these types of cards they need to be low power consumption, run on single slot and limited ventilation.
You can't compare against mainstream cards it's like comparing a Yaris to a Camry ;-)

    • yep, hey what model 1650 is single slot? I didnt find any for sale

      • -1

I don't think any are, but is that really a consideration?

Most LP cards end up in ex business dell/hp SFF cases though, which have usually 4 slots available. Your main considerations for those systems are card height, and lack of any extra power supply. These and GTX1650 are really your best option before looking at the hyper expensive A2000. And if you're paying those dollars, you're probably better off with the newly released RTX4060LP and an aftermarket power supply, that can give you an extra single PCIE 8-pin supply, which will perform better, for much about the same cost. I believe of the two cheaper options (GTX1650 / RX6400) the GXT1650 is the better option unless you have PCIE4.0, which most of the older systems you'll see for cheap don't have.

I recently went down this rabbit hole building a media server for Jellyfin at home, I ended up opting for a HP SFF desktop with i5-8500 that I purchased at auction for $113, and bought a used Gigabyte GTX1650LP DDR5 version for $165 from eBay. If anyone is interested, the HP was preffered option, because it comes with 2x 3.5" HDD bays, which the Dells on offer did not unless you bought a much larger tower.

  • i bought a 1050 ti off marketplace for $90 ealier this year for my ex Office pc - i assume this would be faster?

    • +1

Honestly, not by much. I don't know what they were thinking when they made this card other than for lower power draw. Cards from the last two to three generations beat this in most performance tests.
