A couple of key notes:

  • The spend amount is the amount paid on Amino Z and Bandito Labs Supplements after any discounts have been applied. Z Points will not affect this however (so if you apply Z Points, you still get the benefit based on the total amount before they were applied). Store credit will arrive in your account within 10 days of your order being shipped.
  • For Pre-Existing Paid Club Z members, to qualify for this, you must be actively on a paid Club Z membership as of 9am December 26th 2023. Otherwise, if you're on a Club Z Free trial period, you will not earn the Club Z points, but you still get the repeat or new customer Z points back.

Our #1 Seller: Amino Z Whey Protein Isolate

This product is (by far) our #1 selling product store-wide. We now have 22 flavours available to choose from and our newest releases are Choc Cherry Delight (inspired by one of my favourite chocolate bars), Melon Milk (a new Asian inspired flavour), Iced Chai Latte (since Iced Coffee has been so popular and we have had a few requests).

As with our whole range, all flavours are naturally sweetened. We have transitioned over to thaumatin for the fact that it is an all natural plant based sweetener, a superior flavour profile, a neutral insulin impact (as it is a protein) and being very gentle on the gut. A bit of trivia, thaumatin is about 10x the cost of artificial counterparts (eg. sucralose) and more than 5x the cost of stevia based on weight! Our focus remains on product quality.

Also note the Unflavoured option is straight WPI with just sunflower lecithin added at the point of manufacture to assist in mixing and reduce frothing (less than 1% w/w). There is no sweetener.

The best macros are for Unflavoured (Per serve: 29.7g P / 0.3g F / 0.4g C), and the flavour breakdowns will be variable. All other flavours have less than 1g of fat per serve and 1.2-3.7g of carbs/serve.

Aussie Choc Malt has a notably different macronutrient profile to other flavours. The newer Aussie Choc Malt is the only exception with 9.9g carbs/serve and protein percentage lower at 64.4% (from the malt component) - I highly recommend it for the taste, avoid if you want to keep the carbs down.

We only use WPI in this protein - this is not a blend of other cheaper proteins (for example Whey Protein Concentrate/WPC)

Protein is added hormone free, ultra and micro filtered and cold pressed

Our Amino Z Vegan Protein

      So we've structured this deal differently to the past deals where we've honed in one single product (and offered generally 30% off everything else), instead opting for a higher flat 33% off the entire rage.

      Hi @Josh213 thanks so much for the support and for asking.

      Earlier this year we switched to a new supplier for our EAA's (and also BCAA's). We did so because we wanted to improve the quality of the product, as our old product did not dissolve well and also had a bit of a bitter aftertaste (mainly from the leucine).

      The difference is like night and day, but the drawback is the material cost price. We are paying a premium for the raw material because of the improved quality.

      I cannot comment on BN's product directly, but this is why we have priced the product at this point.

      One other thing worth mentioning is that we use a natural sweetener in our EAA's (thaumatin), keep them colour free and also ensured it's vegan friendly.

      Anyway, I hope this explains and provides some context.

        Hey Jay, just noticed the vegan BCAA 250g is cheaper than the standard 250g BCAA? Is that price mistake or is it just priced that way as you have more stock to clear?

          @JHoliday the Vegan specific line was an older line that we'll probably discontinue once we exhaust our raw materials. Our material cost was even higher on this one which is why we had it higher. Once we run through stocks of our older vegan product, we will likely discontinue these, or just match up the prices if we decide to keep two separate products.

          But our new BCAA and EAA are both vegan friendly just for anyone who is interested.

          So if you have your order total up to $200 and you apply Z Points, you will still receive the benefit.

    Recently the quality control of packaging has been a bit off. My recent 4 kg had 2 packs with the seal zip half-detached from the bag. Hopefully they have shorted that out.

    Also please notice that the Aussie choc malt has almost 25% carbs, the highest I have ever seen in something sold as WPI.

      I do agree with you - the last batch of pouches has been a bit hit and miss for us. We have a new shipment due to arrive soon and we will be rolling out significantly improved pouches as soon as they land. It's a brand new supplier with vastly improved materials which we believe will be far superior.

      Also to confirm that yes, Aussie Choc Malt is more of our exception within our WPI range with significantly higher carbohydrates due to the presence of malt. So it tastes great, but the carbs are high. The other flavours are significantly lower. Thanks for highlighting this so people are aware.

      There was a discussion last deal about what to do around this and we have discussed this flavour at length. Currently we are looking to hit a better macro profile but with with a similar flavour profile. We're still a bit of a way off this as it is proving difficult once we reduce the malt component.

    Hi. What would you recommend for someone as a general post work out drink, mainly for post workout recovery. Not really looking at bulking up.

      @lazybones1987 generally a protein powder is the way to go here. Our WPI is our top seller (by a long shot). You could consider having a serve (1 scoop) following your training.

      You may not need anything at all for "recovery" if you have a healthy, high-protein diet and aren't working out to an extreme level - people (myself included!) are often far too focussed on supplementation.

      This is anecdotal, but when I first started using the gym seriously (1.5-2hrs per session, every day of the week) I grew significant muscle without drinking a single protein shake. I did eventually start using them (particularly after turning vegan and struggling to get as much protein in my diet as before) but noticed no difference whatsoever.

      I'd recommend you work out how much protein you're consuming on a daily basis - it might already be enough. Not that a protein shake a day is harmful at all - it just may not be doing anything useful.

          No worries. I wouldn't recommend you make it a habit, but it might be worth using an app to track what you're eating over the course of a few days to allow you to see the actual amount you're eating.

          Your instinct is probably right though (and even if it's not, a decent protein shake certainly isn't bad for you!).

    Fast review from last couple of orders obviously subjective
    Crème caramel - taste like the inside of a fantale. Good 7.5/10
    Strawberry- taste like a fruit chew, not bad 6/10
    Choc hazelnut- almost like a choc hazelnut wafer. Smells terrible and tastes a little wrong 3/10 wouldn’t recommend - I was offered a swap via comments of last deal but declined and flavour is now discontinued.
    Choc mint- this is spot on melted ice cream- outstanding 10/10

    From last deal
    Choc caramel - a choccy mix of the above crème caramel, tastes good but mix can be poor with chewy bits 6.5/10
    Taro Ice cream - lovely flavour closest comparison would be the middle of a Portuguese custard tart 9/10
    Iced Chai - exactly as I expected, spicy but smooth 8/10
    Iced coffee - wasn’t quite as good as expected, coffee flavour tasted more blend 43 than I would have liked but definitely still drinkable, might actually mix with the choc caramel to see how that goes. 6/10

    I do mix with water so that might affect the scores but overall extremely happy. FYI I also use Ghost as I know that the protein isn’t the best value for money but it’s like a treat for me.

    That’s being said Jay - would love a cereal milk flavour in the future

        Our Vegan Protein is primarily pea protein with rice protein added. But despite it being a pea protein, it's not that gritty texture you often find. We managed to source a pea protein that is incredibly smooth in mouth texture.

        I have sampled all the flavours and personally I do feel they are very good both flavour wise and texture wise, especially within the vegan category. But I am biased obviously!

            The milk would be a somewhat darker chocolate but not overly intense in darkness.

    I've been buying from AminoZ for a while now, haven't tried every single flavour, but for the ones I tried they are all decent.

    My favourites:

    • Matcha, I also mix it with real matcha powder to enhance the flavour (the WPI on its own, is a bit too sweet for my taste)
    • Ice coffee, sometimes I mix it with real coffee

    I tried the new flavours:

    • Melon milk, decent, kinda refreshing to drink in summer
    • Iced chai latte, decent, I'm not a Chai lover, but I can tell the taste is pretty authentic
    • Pandan and Taro, these two were both very good taste-wise (I love taro as a veggie), however, the powders are both too fine, which I find inconvenient compared to all the other flavours, as the fine powders would spread in the air when you scoop… OP, any chance of improving these so that the powders are more coarse?

    Also OP, just to clarify that we can use our existing Z points and it won't affect the store credit amount?

    Based on this description:

    Z Points will not affect this however (so if you apply Z Points, you still get the benefit based on the total amount before they were applied)

    But at the start of the description, there's also this line:

    Plus Additional Store Credit (based on the amount spent after discounts/Z Points are applied):

    If I understand the intention, it should be after discounts, but before Z points are applied?

    What do you recommend? I tried a lot of different kind of protein powder doesn't seems to have much effect. I am a skinny build, even with personal trainer I only gained 5kg and it stopped there I just can't push it up further. Usually I drink 2 serving a day, am I consuming too little? How to keep my gain?

      Protein powder, WPI alone isn't going to help you gain weight. You need to be in a caloric surplus to gain weight. Better to be 300kcal above maintenance to minimise fat gain. You can try getting a mass gainer to help you as a beginner but you must ensure that your overall calories are higher than maintenance otherwise you won't gain size, only strength. Tracking your macros is also important, without enough carbs you won't be able to fuel your muscles. I suggest using MyFitnessPal and an online macro calculator to help you find out how much you need to eat.

      If you're not gaining weight @fullmetal it will ultimately come down to eating more calories.

      You can try eating calorie rich foods like nuts, avocado etc. Obviously good quality foods are important and make sure to get your macro balance right.

      Mass gainers can be useful if you struggle to eat enough from whole food. We do have a mass gainer here, but consider this after tweaking with your food first.

      WPI can be most useful post workout. But is only around 100 calories per scoop.

    I'm still having issues with the pouches. The top of the pouch peeled off from the zipper so when I try to zip and unzip, it doesn't close properly and is constantly exposed to air. I've contacted support on the website and they've offered to send me a container as compensation, but could I ask when this issue will be resolved? It's frustrating to deal with

      We have finalised improved pouches and they are on the water for delivery to our warehouse soon. Once these arrive, we will be replacing our entire range.

      In the meantime we unfortunately do have some issues but this will be resolved soon. If there are further issues in the meantime we will of course look after you.

    It seems the code isn't working. I tried your popular combo of WPI, Creatine and pre workout but it is not going down to $212 and it's stuck at $257. All products are Amino and it keeps coming up with the message, you already have a 20% discount and this won't stack. Unsure of how to get rid of the other discount as it seems automatically applied. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
