A couple of key notes:

  • The spend amount is the amount paid on Amino Z and Bandito Labs Supplements after any discounts have been applied. Z Points will not affect this however (so if you apply Z Points, you still get the benefit based on the total amount before they were applied). Store credit will arrive in your account within 10 days of your order being shipped.

Our #1 Seller: Amino Z Whey Protein Isolate

This product is (by far) our #1 selling product store-wide. We now have 22 flavours available to choose from and our newest releases are Choc Cherry Delight (inspired by one of my favourite chocolate bars), Melon Milk (a new Asian inspired flavour), Iced Chai Latte (since Iced Coffee has been so popular and we have had a few requests).

As with our whole range, all flavours are naturally sweetened. We have transitioned over to thaumatin for the fact that it is an all natural plant based sweetener, a superior flavour profile, a neutral insulin impact (as it is a protein) and being very gentle on the gut. A bit of trivia, thaumatin is about 10x the cost of artificial counterparts (eg. sucralose) and more than 5x the cost of stevia based on weight! Our focus remains on product quality.

Also note the Unflavoured option is straight WPI with just sunflower lecithin added at the point of manufacture to assist in mixing and reduce frothing (less than 1% w/w). There is no sweetener.

The best macros are for Unflavoured (Per serve: 29.7g P / 0.3g F / 0.4g C), and the flavour breakdowns will be variable. All other flavours have less than 1g of fat per serve and 1.2-3.7g of carbs/serve.

Aussie Choc Malt has a notably different macronutrient profile to other flavours. The newer Aussie Choc Malt is the only exception with 9.9g carbs/serve and protein percentage lower at 64.4% (from the malt component) - I highly recommend it for the taste, avoid if you want to keep the carbs down.

We only use WPI in this protein - this is not a blend of other cheaper proteins (for example Whey Protein Concentrate/WPC)

Protein is added hormone free, ultra and micro filtered and cold pressed

    1) Any chance future Amino Z packaging could include some slightly different colours? I get that you probably get some discounted pricing due to economies of scale with going with the same colour, however if you are using a range of Amino Z products I always go and reach for the wrong one since they are all black.

    eg in the morning just want to find the WPI easily.

    In the afternoon before gym I mix Creatine and BCAA.

    2) Any chance of having a combined creatine mono and BCAA product? I’m sure it would be popular, since I haven’t come across anyone else making it. Could even add citrulline malate and it would be the ultimate pre/intra without stims. Saves people mixing different powders.

      You're right in that we do streamline processes by having everything the same colour. However I take your point and personally completely understand from when I'm going through my own pantry. It's a really good suggestion. Frankly, just packing the orders would be easier if the products are easier to differentiate from one another.

      Our first priority is to improve the current pouches, which is in the process of being finalised. This however will definitely be reviewed and discussed.

      In terms of the combined creatine and BCAA product, we will look into this and discuss. To be honest, we really haven't considered this to date, but if anyone else has feedback or comments please do share. We're happy to take on board all feedback.

        I actually overloaded on creatine on the 23rd - I went to open a bag of unflavored WPI and instead of trying to find the new scoop I used the old one from the previous bag as there was half a serving left. As I mix into smoothies and not excepting flavor from WPI, I had around 100g of creatine unbestknown to me that day… I had intense diarrhoea… I'm pretty health focused and cook all my own meals so I was a bit bemused, but finally figured it out the following day. I went to the ER room as a precaution and had renal and liver tests done. Was all clear, no damage, just dehydration. I'm accountable for not double checking and not blaming AminoZ at all, just thought I'd put this here for posterity

    I feel like pretty much being betrayed by them. As a loyal customer who has been shopping their WPI since 2017, I received an email saying "loyal customer" but only with 30% off their products. But here at OZB there is 33%. Should I just quit being a loyal customer then? :)

      We tried to structure the deals differently to be better suited to each platform. The newsletter offer has a lower % discount and a higher credit amount but with a higher minimum spend. OzBargain has a higher % discount, but the spend amount threshold is lower. We did this because newsletter purchasers typically purchase more per order than the orders we receive from OzBargain, so we felt this would represent better value to both segments.

      Our loyal customers are obviously extremely important to us as a business and I am sorry if you have felt betrayed by these different offers. We do have a firm commitment to continue supporting the OzBargain platform too given the amount of support we receive on here too. Next time we'll look to approach this differently.

      So you're aware, the other newsletter we sent out is for non customers, which is 25% off Amino Z and no store-credit offer, which is inferior in all respects to both offerings.

        I had this page saved to do an order and then got a SMS offering what i thought was the same discount.

        Clicked the SMS link instead of this bookmarked and I not only got less of a discount but I won't get the additional store credit.

        Sounds like unsubscribing from comms is the best way to go and just watch this site?

Although we tried to differentiate the Boxing Day offers, they are more easily comparable and I understand where you're coming from here. Especially if you were looking to place a smaller purchase, the OzBargain offer may represent better value with the lower store credit threshold.

          I would suggest to keep an eye on OzBargain, but since we will differentiate the newsletter offers more so off the back of this feedback, you may find value from these. The newsletter offers are also more frequent than what we publish on this platform.

          We will however continue to always present a superior offer to repeat customers (relative to that for new customers) as part of our commitment to customer loyalty. That is true for both of these offers, as well as all the offers we have published last year.

    Can't believe I almost missed this deal from boxing day. Have been testing out a few different sample packs from 'bulk nutrients' and was about to pull a trigger on an order there but saved enough to take the plunge here.

    Hopefully the quality is as good or better!

      Yeah, I purchased on the first day of the promo, and got credited on day 10.

      Although there were some other non-related issues with my account, but they got it sorted without any further problems.

      Just log into your account and have a looky, if it's not there, just give them a quick email.

      Sorry @Puffmellows, we are still playing catch up on stock levels given how big our last two deals were.

      I cannot yet confirm the date of our next big deal, but we do have all our loyalty codes active and one on our top banner too. Not the same as our OzBargain deals though.

      @capslock janitor we do not yet have a cookies n cream flavour I'm afraid. We've been working with a number of flavour houses in trying to develop this one for years, and still haven't achieved something we are happy to release. This one has proven to be one of the most difficult to develop.

      Similar flavours could be the Aussie Choc Malt (more like Milo though) or any from the chocolate variety. But honestly, what we currently have is not close to a cookies flavour I'm afraid.

      I cannot yet make any firm promises as to the launch date or specific deal structure, but we do plan to be running another major sale here on OzBargain.

      There have been significant price increases in the dairy market, in-line with that article from VPA. This is the case globally and we (both as businesses and consumers) will all be impacted by this long-term. That is, unless by some miracle prices go down again.

      We do work with great suppliers and they have worked with us to lock in some competitive pricing for us in the short-mid term. We will obviously be passing that along by not making any major price changes for as long as possible.
