I can't even fathom the shit anyone would get using this….

      ftfy

I think this is for the united states where in some schools you need to have transparant backpacks to prevent school shootings

    • +77

      That's just silly.

The only thing that prevents shootings is more guns.

      • +11

        especially armed teachers.

        • +48

Librarians need a silencer as well.

      • +2

Ah, the USA - where the only thing stopping a good guy with a gun stopping a bad guy with a gun is a cop with a gun.

      • +4

        So anyway I started blasting…

    • +4

I know some prison workers (eg social workers) who need see through backpacks or hand bags, when going to the prisons

      • +3

        but this is a

        School Backpack

        • So no one is allowed to carry this bag, unless they go to school? Good one, mate.

I was making the point that these clear bags are used in many circumstances

    • +7

Yep. It's right up there with curved hallways they have now.

      • +6

Wth. They make the hallways curved now to minimise the amount of deaths if a mass shooting ever occurs?

        • +11

wow. sounds like theyll do anything other than sort out the problem at the root of it

          • +16

@FredAstair: Exactly! It's ridiculous the lengths the Americans go to just to avoid admitting hallways in general are at fault. Straight, curved, circular, non-binary it doesn't matter! Hallways are at fault and the sooner they admit that the sooner they can go back to giving everyone guns to enjoy.
Head to nohallways2024.us if you support the cause.

        • Yep. I know unbelievable. That's 'Merica for ya.

    • +4

Required for sporting stadiums in the USA also

      • +3

I was in Vegas last month for a conference. Top tier security theatre. Back checks to get in. If your bag was larger than a backpack the sniffer dog checked it before they'd ask you to open it. Each day I'd see a few dozen transparent backpacks. I suppose it means you can skip the bag check queue 🤷‍♂️

        • Due to the 2017 mass shooting of the concert.

          • +2

@redpen: That wouldn't have prevented the shooting. That prick shot everyone from a hotel window.

      • -3

        yes but this clearly states:

        School Backpack

        • school of hard knocks ….

    • They issue them to people who work in jails as well, I see all of the zoo keepers going to the Brisbane prisons with theirs.

Good way to see if someones got a wallet easy to pinch

  • Good to take to gaol with you

Every purchase comes with a guaranteed free round of bullying

    Terrorists Win

Having grown up in a country where we had a civil war this was a mandatory item for all school children at one point to stop any explosives been carried.

    • +4

Did they have see through clothing as well?

      • +5

only at catholic schools and those patrolled by NSW police

  • +12

Clear backpacks to carry your bottles of Prime energy drinks at school to show off your cred…😆

    • +2

Mandatory in a cred affinity group

      • I tried getting in one of those but it was impossible.

  • +6

This is for the US market where many stadiums have a clear bag policy. If you want to take anything in a bag into a sporting or entertainment event the bag has to be clear so that security can see what is in it.

    • -6

yes but this doesnt state for that purpose:

      School Backpack

      • so if it said back
ack for smart people, dumb people couldn’t buy it ? ….

        • -3

what an unnecessary response to make.

      • oh look 3 people already negging me here.
        For what?
        Stating the truth..

        • +1

For saying the same thing over and over again.

          • @lbft: That actually makes little sense tbh.

Are you trying to justify why you negged me¿

  • +1

Comes with a free bashing at school.

    • +3

Not with my manga and weapon collection visible

      • with the power of god and anime combined. 😀

  • +3

"Have you unpacked your bag kids?"

    • +3

ok you might have just sold me

    • OK kid, what are you packin' ?

  • +1

Troll the teachers with a bag full of visible contraband 🤣

    • +1

a big zip tie bag of corriander..

a small few baggies of baking powder

  • Just the thing to store your clear used colostomy bags in.

    • +4

Just use this as a large colostomy bag. Bit of ag pipe from bunnings and you can look like a ghostbuster turned sewage specialist.

  • When you want your kid to get bullied at school lol

  • +1

If you work in a prison you need a clear bag

  • +1

Some airport staff require clear bags

  • hows my kid going to take an AR15 for self-protection to school in this? ridiculous

    • If they're any good at tearing them down the CQB variant might squeeze in.

    • worry about it after you kids buy an AR15 …..

  • perfect! thank you. now I can carry my 12" dragon slayer and not feel like I am concealing it.

  • This + milk tea = 100%

  • Now i can show my CRED

  • +2

first thought that popped into mind seeing this was America

    • LOL

  • This is nuthin new. Been around for eons. Perfect match to go with a see-through raincoat lol

  • +1

    backpack for strippers

  • Ideal for doing end of day banking run in retail outlets

    • Caveat is you need the business to be insured. Preferably on one of the busiest days of the year. To justify that 5x the average daily amount you declared to insurance.. 😅

  • Great backpack to "certain countries" to show off your wealth . Anyway , apparently this bag idea came from guns at school in USA.

  • -1

Unfortunately not fit for our purpose.

Need something for the kids to be able to conceal carry at school.

  • +2

    Now that's a backpack for @Clear.

    • +1

Everyone is going to see my copy of Thai Honey and butcher knife.

    • I agree!!! I came here to say that!!!!! Lol

  • -3

we haven’t had enough stabbing at schools yet to this to get uptake, and i believe in nsw kids of a certain religion are allowed to still brings knives to school, bit unfair in fights as some religions are at a disadvantage.

  • -1

this will go well with my bondage outfit

  • -1

Do they have to go to school with transparent clothing too!?!?!? FFS!!!

    • like most things, it’s not a perfect approach to limit firearms being taken to school but reduces it, transparent clothes, well hopefully a glock stuck down the parents is visible to security guards though it’s amazing what shop lifters can fit down their clothes.

ultimate is the x rays they have at some air ports for passengers entering the secured areas … it picked up a medical in plant i had.

It absolutely baffles me that people that don't understand what the purpose of the USA "right to bear arms" is won't give up their guns - guns that can't be used to stop the US government now if it goes off the rails because no way can a militia with any reasonable kind of armament could ever face down with authorities and their sophisticated weapons. But they're absolutely fine with this blatant invasion of privacy. We can't have nice things because people can't be nice or reasonable and there's always going to be a criminal element that takes advantage of any freedom.
