  • I don’t see 10% on CR?

You will need to use the code: CASH15 for the rewards as: Honey15 is not listed on the cashrewards site (yet).

    • Ahhh crap

You maybe lucky, the tracking email/notification was almost instant from cashrewards, which was really surprising.

        • Fingers crossed

          • @MrFizz: Yeah it was pretty instant from CR

  • Thank you OP!

I would not buy this one.

Buy the 100% whey. Has more protein.

    • Agree, the high protein is less than their other products.
      As above, avoid.

    • Whey more!

  • Junk products from Musashi. If you're going to bother training you might as well buy a decent protein.

    • +3

can you please share couple of decent ones as I am a newbie to this stuff, thanks!

      • +3

Bulk Nutrients Whey Protein is a solid clean protein. A little more expensive but worth it.

        • Bulk nutrients inflamed my stomach. Musashi seems to be good so far.

      • +3

Don’t listen to old mate above, Musashi has a good taste, to get the taste and consistency they have to compromise and add sweetness and the like. I’ve had other protein powders that are like flavourless cement. Just factor it into your meal plan and you’ll be fine.
If you’re starting out, I recommend you choose a flavour you like, such as chocolate, or vanilla, then buy 3 low volume containers of that flavour from different brands. Find your fav and consume until gainz are maximised.

      • I started with Musashi as my first protein ever just last week.

I did a bit of research to try and find something that's a bit less processed and asked a mate as well who said Musashi is decent. He himself uses ON but as I had an additional requirement for halal suitable, I went with Musashi.

Edit: I got the 100% Whey vanilla from Chemist Warehouse, was on sale there last week.

    • My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard. If that helps

    Im vegan

  • 67% is high protein? But still good considering you are getting 2KG for that price.

    • "100% Whey Vanilla Milkshake" seems to be the best value variety/flavour. it's $3 more before discounts, but is 76.7% protein. next best is "100% Whey Chocolate Milkshake" at 74% protein.

  • OOS

  • I've bought these, and they taste very AVG.

I can drink it, but I certainly don't enjoy it at all.

I love Macro Mike but it's so expensive.

All my favourites send you broke.

Back to the buying whatever you can afford, but I assume AminoZ taste better than this.

This definitely doesn't taste good, it's not bad tho.

    • what are some of your favorite whey flavours/brands etc? I usually stick to unflavored with milk and fruits, but want to have a flavored ones for ocassional days where I cant use milk/fruits.

      • +1

Usually price is correlated to flavour. Rule1 is great but also the most expensive on the market ($90 rrp / kg LOL!)

In terms of flavour, Bsc (bodyscience) is really good for a budget protein

      • +1

There was a couple of flavors I liked from some American companies like peanut chocolate

Have a couple of years ago I ended up buying like 15 kilos of protein on clearance off eBay and even though it expired like a year ago I'm just finishing those tubs

I generally will buy what is the cheapest but obviously look for the one with the best flavor if it's possible

        • haha, thats a lot of protein.

          • @John Doh: $100 tubs for $20.

Canadian brand, super tasty and all top ingredients.

The fats were all GLA, CLA etc

Still good 2 years after expiry, but now all finished.

            • @[Deactivated]: Which one did you buy? How do you find about to expire deals?

              • @John Doh: That was years ago on eBay LOL

I don't see much on eBay anymore, but sometimes stores have clearances.

Remember this was during Covid, at the time alot of supplement stores were shut and people weren't going to the gym.

I stocked up on like 40 tubs of amino acids for $10-$20 too!

                • @[Deactivated]: Damn, thats a lot. Agree covid was a bad time for gyms and supp industry.

                  • @John Doh: I don't think you can beat Aminoz these days, isn't it $25 a kg? I don't know what the flavors are like, which is risky but otherwise that's probably going to have to be what I purchase next

I just don't enjoy drinking these protein powders, even if I add a couple of drops of stevia.

                    • @[Deactivated]: I used to buy them(unflavored) and recommend them. But then they changed the protein source after which they started offering it for cheap. I dont like it. Does not mix at all and isnt as easy to digest, the powder is statically charged and keeps flying in all directions - probably the flavored ones arent as bad due to additional processing but I buy unflavored. I switched to Uprotein isolate and very happy with it. Easy on the stomach too as they have added digestive enzyme.

I generally add a scoop of whey with 200ml milk, half a banana and 1/3 apple and blend it. Tastes better than any protein on the planet. On the day I take a break, I just mix it with plain water and drink. Definitely does not taste bad at all.

                      • @John Doh: What's the price?

Yeah, I'm trying to get 10% BF and understand.. so keep my shakes lean so I can eat more food lol

                        • @[Deactivated]: Sadly its on the higher side 170 for 4kilos. But I tolerate that protein well. I did recenty buy Aminoz WPI 1KG just to try it out. It looks still the same. The same cheap supplier they were using. I havent tried drinking it though. Will give it a try today.

                          • @John Doh: I mean is there cheap Aussie protein? I imagine there's only so many manufacturers doing it in Australia.

                            It'd be interesting to know.

                            • +1

@[Deactivated]: Not sure. But most of these bulk providers usually import from USA/Canada etc Maybe from someone like Saputo, Davisco etc.

I agree, tastes very average. I didn't even finish mine and went back to Rule 1 protein.

    • never heard of Rule 1 TBH. is that a recent brand or something?

      • I believe it's the original owners of ON.

  • I bought a few of these at $64.79 S&S pricing as I'm after a low carb protein.

Limited-time deal: Whey Protein Powder, MuscleTech Nitro-Tech Whey Gold Protein Powder, Whey Protein Isolate Smoothie Mix, Protein Powder for Women & Men, Chocolate Protein Powder, 2.27kg (71 Servings) https://amzn.asia/d/hbDkubO

Tastes quite good and btw it's 2.27kg the listing is a bit confusing..
