Just before Xmas I tried to purchase some GC's (Roblox, Nintendo) amongst other items using one of these Woolworths "Mastercards" (purchased via Special, set up in Apple Wallet) as part payment, and the transaction was declined. Took out the gift cards and tried to pay for those separately, also declined. Paid using Amex.
Maybe there's a loophole for TCN cards?

Special arbitrarily determines whether or not it works at a given location, not Woolworths.
@Neoika: No I don't think it's Special doing it. I was able to use the Special Woolworths card to buy 2 x $50 TCN "Gift" gift cards yesterday at the same Woolies that denied the Roblox and Nintendo GCs.
Coz it doesn't work any more. Stop spreading wrong info to make other the guinea pigs.
It could be because Special gift cards stopped working on the Woolworths Group gift card portal a few weeks ago. If you look through that deal, you can see multiple people being unable to check out using a Special gift card across multiple days.
My guess is that Special has blacklisted the Woolworths Group gift card portal again.

Will stick with getting super shopper then converting it to Coles Myer GC through Kmart.
I posted that deal and it did work for me when I posted it. They must have stopped it soon after, possibly later that day (14/12/23).

they do say the gc cannot be used for grocery shopping@CodeXD: No idea exactly. I only know when i tried it on the 26 or 27 December, it didn't work on the woolies gift card site.

Today, 2nd Jan 2024, I received a CITI push notification and email, saying if i spend over $30 on Uber I will get $10 cashback, by 31st Dec 2023.
Citibank credit card declined. Even after going through the mastercard sms authentication process??
I had that the last time this came about. Support asked me to use a different card to pay lol Useless offer.
First 2 times it didn't even get to authentication page and it declined. 3rd time it did and still declined.

Does the Super Shopper card work for Officeworks price beat over the phone?

Officeworks is listed as one of the merchants that the Super Shopper card can be used.
However, I am wondering if it will work when price matching over the phone using the card number, expiry, and cvv.
If you are using the card for payment, it should work as a normal Mastercard.

Yes, the Super Shopper card should work if Officeworks use the same merchant code over the phone.
But I don't think I will be taking a chance on buying a $361 Super Shopper card for $10 cashback without knowing that it works for sure.

I have used them multiple times. I didn’t find any major issue. The only thing which bothers me is the Face ID or pin to login don’t work for their app and you have to login manually every time

Yes there is split payment and I have used it for Wish gift cards. But I thought it only works for gift cards. Whereas special gift card works more like eftpos (or bank card), I didn't know I could split it when paying with card.
