I want to know this as well and if it's the same process with Surfshark. It's a bit confusing seeing the 83% discount promo on the Surfshark website with 98% cashback from Shopback. I assume we get 98% cashback on whatever we end up paying (~$60USD for 2 years via Surfshark) and not 98% off the full, non-discounted, price for the plan?
Last time shopback didn't honour the deal and said many excuses not to give the cashback

People on here claim this on virtually every cashback offer. Unless I've missed something weird, they didn't "not honour the deal", some people would just have had their purchase not track properly.
For those who still don't understand how these cashback websites work:
1) Clicking through to NordVPN from Shopback puts a cookie on your device.
2) When checking out, NordVPN (well, their affiliate network) recognises the cookie and links your purchase to Shopback.
3) NordVPN pays Shopback a commission.
4) Shopback passes on that commission to you.Sometimes - either because you messed up the checkout process, your PC blocked/corrupted the cookie or the affiliate network glitched - the retailer doesn't realise that the sale has been made via a cashback site or decides you broke the rules so doesn't pay them the commission.
The only thing Shopback can do in that situation is to appeal to the retailer and send the information you provide them. The retailer will then decide whether it was their fault or not, and if they think it was, they'll pay out. If not they will reject it. Shopback don't get to decide anything (it makes no sense for it to be up to them - it would be in their interest to just approve every single transaction).
As to the constant claims about Shopback/Cashrewards/TCB being the "most reliable" etc., it's technically possible that their slightly different systems will have slightly different reliability rates, but the sample size that people are using to declare this is far too small so is effectively anecdotal nonsense. My personal experience (using the Shopback App or Cashrewards/TCB via a browser solely used for cashback purchases that has all browsing data wiped every time it's closed) has been 100% tracking from all three.

I was able to access BBC iplayer using Nord VPN on google TV. Don't have apple TV.
Update: Just checked Prime Video with Nord VPN connected to UK. It shows a travelling banner at top and shows "Saltburn" as #1 in UK. Hope it helps.
@ClaudeVL Have you tried using an online money service like wise? In their app you have the ability to generate digital debit cards that can be burner for one transaction then removed (I have used it for this purpose to pay for a surprise birthday dinner for my sister while she was on holiday in Europe where I had to give card details over the phone)
If you generate a card in GBP currency perhaps it might be detected as a UK card? Overall Wise is a great service, I use it when travelling. Their exchange rates are usually pretty close to the mid-market rate as opposed to using my CBA credit card, so they must be doing some interesting FX wrangling to be able to pass that on to customers.

I've done two shopbacks for VPN (surfshark and PIA) never had an issue. Just screen record and worst case scenario you do 30 day money back guarantee from Nord right? (Although I suspect it won't be easy)
By the time you realised cashback is supposed to be approved it'll be way past 30 days. I think generally it takes about 90 days.
Do they cancel your cash back after 30 days? It either tracks or it doesn't right? I've never had it tracked then declined?

Hi all, with some of the comments around not getting cashback - does anyone know if we should follow any extra steps to confirm the cashback? I picked the basic 2 year plan that came up first in the Shopback app and have received a tracking email. Does this mean I’m in the clear or sometimes it gets revoked? Cheers!
If you got tracking email you should be good. I screen record and often do it on iPhone proving latest version of their app before launching and capturing in the screen recording. The bigger problem is remembering what I should be expecting cashback wise lol
Mines shown tracked since October, that was the first time I’ve used Cashback app, how accurate are its payment dates on each purchase? Says I should be refunded tomorrow is that accurate?
Just an update, the $130 was just refunded, guess someone is watching 😂 this was from my purchase in October 2023 and it was tracked in less than 2 days , paid out in 89 of the 90 possible days, hope that helps 👍

Beware of their policy of storing your payment information and not being able to delete it. Below is the reply I got back from them. Very dodgy imo.
In order to remove your debit card information we will need to delete your account as we are unable to delete only a portion of data that is associated with your account, such as payments.
As we are a security-oriented company we do not take account change or deletion requests lightly, hence we request payment information to confirm ownership of the account, as we would not want anyone but the rightful owner making such changes.
Without the requested information we are unable to proceed with the changes.
