    Looks good

  • is there a sort of monitor that reduces eye strain or should u just run f.lux or somehting?

I mean for night time if you're not doing much screen use, yeah. Longer term, you just want to keep scaling pixel density and refresh rate/response time with well calibrated monitors that have suitably tight wavelength ranges for their RGB sub-pixels. The increased and efficient fidelity will help reduce eye strain.

But you shouldn't be sitting in the dark with a screen too much, as the contrast to the surroundings also creates eye strain. The real answer to your question is try to match things to your ambient light levels and don't work too late. :P

It's ips so better than the el cheapos for your eyes.

You can run flux but I think just turning on dark mode in windows, word or whatever you use and an extension in a browser will be better.

  • The dell one same price
    Which is better?
    https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/dell-s2722dc-27-qhd-usb-c…

    • I'd think this one. UHD > QHD.

However the dell is 75hz refresh rate, so pick resolution or refresh rate

      • I will just be using it as a monitor for my MacBook for work not doing any gaming

Then choose the better resolution, ie this one

    • Definitely this one (the LG), I think the Dell equivalent should be S2722QC.

    • Mac has a scaling issue. You can run 2K monitors at their native resolution while 4K monitors need to scale up to 5K and then scale down to 2K. Most people will not notice the performance difference but it does exist. I have S2721DS. Picture quality looks fine but the Dell stand wobbles a bit.

lol 60hz refresh rate and its still over 300 bucks it should be like 100 for those specs.

    • Not even 100% sRGB as well… Don't think this is a great price.

    • You'd want to have a rtx4090 to run most recent AAA games at ultra settings and hope for more than 60fps @4k

      • CS 2 runs at 400fps or more 60fps is crap.

I picked up an unusual Lg deal from Aldi yesterday. They had Lg 32UR500 4K monitor for $180 on clearance. Hope it lasts as long as it says on warranty i.e 36 months

    • What store?

      Did Aldi mark it down?

      It is any good?

      Thanks!

Aldi in Cranbourne had a few left. I bought a couple. So far looks pretty good for my work setup. I have Dell 4k and this one extending my desktop.

        • Receipt please? Do they price match stores? My store had 4 yesterday but only reduced to 299.

        • Thanks

How does this LG compare to the Dell?

          What Dell though?

@Grok: Very similar in terms of colors and day to day use. You may see a lot of difference if you are shooting a Raw video on your Camera with 8-10 bit hlog/slog etc. I am yet to try that

    • Its VA

    • Tried a price match. Absolute no!!!

      Is it worth $299? Maybe.

      • Did not price match their own store?

        • I tried QLD with a Melb receipt. They do not price match any stores.

          • @boxall: My store has seven of them sitting there for weeks at $299.

            Let’s see who blinks first!

I’m not paying more than $180 just on principle.

            • @Grok: I am with ya!!! Can't do it!

          • @boxall: Logged a web site query and it is up to each store what they do to clear old stock.

      • Here is a better model, the LG 32UN550-W with an adjustable stand, wider gamut and brighter for $39 more. All the problems with the Aldi one addressed

        • Except not in Qld.
