    not cheap

    • Compared to what? The other sellers, selling this same model? ugh!

      • You can buy from East Digital for cheaper if you want NAS drive.
If you need external drive instead, wait for the Amazon US/UK deals, they are usually better than local.

        • You know the EastDigital drives are for the China Market only and warranty is managed by the seller right?
In certain cases, sure thats not an issue. But if I'm personally buying a HDD and only going to be saving a few dollars. then I'm spending the extra from a rep (non ebay Chinese only marketed product) and seller.

This drive is also not a standalone (blank/OEM) drive, nor is it a NAS. Its a desktop USB external.
If we are to compare to the market for the same product, it is currently not a bad price (e.g. cheap).

          :)

          • @mickyb80: See my second point:

external drive instead, wait for the Amazon US/UK deals

Only time I would use one of these Seagate drives to store 12GB would be if it were in a RAID array
