    Wow their website is trash

Just so you are aware, NAB are taking over citi's australian consumer business, so you will be an NAB customer.

They have already f'd up one part of my transition to NAB.

    • +3

NAB has been sh!t from day one!
I don’t understand how they have loyal customers

    • Ubank is fine
      NAB itself sub average
      CITI is sewage

      • CITI is sewage

But their Prestige deals in 2022/2023 could considered "gold status" in term of credit card deals (1/2 annual fees, high bonus points, no hassle to getting points from PayAll, unlimited lounges access, multiple exclusive deals like airport transfers and accom free night etc). It was the only credit card that I kept for 12 months to milk all the benefits.

Similar with the PayAll deal that many people managed to setup beyond 2030 - before they closed the loophole.

        • Long time before NAB, Suncorp had their fingers burned with Citi. They were Suncorp branded but backed by Citi. Good at the beginning, fading to junk.
Full page advertisements advertising wrong annual fees. Well new customers got a lower fee but the ads failed to explain, no fine print at all.
Hidden rewards with inconsistent deals, dodgy web access.
Fast forward to 2024, CITI web access sucks, their Philippine based call centre is unable to deal with the smallest issues.

  • Anyone know if it possible to “double dip” on this? I previously did the 100k Flybuys Ready Credit offer last June. I still have the Ready Credit account open, but perhaps I can close that then reopen another? The T&C’s only mention not having previously received the 70k velocity offer a previous time.

T&Cs state: “ Offer exclusions: This offer is available only once per customer. If you have previously received, or are entitled to earn, 70,000 Velocity Frequent Flyer Points with this offer, you will not be eligible to earn another 70,000 Velocity Frequent Flyer Points with this offer.”

  • What does this end up costing you to get the points?

Just the $199? Or do you need to pay anything to meet the minimum transfer
    I’m confused

What does this end up costing you to get the points?

      $199 plus some interest payments.

You can check some comments in similar deals like this

This is not a good deal any more since the fee is reverted to full price.

      • +5

$200 for 70,000 points is still good.

$199 fee kills the deal. The Citi Rewards card offer https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/820858 is much better - less hassle, more points.

Was a pain trying to apply for the QFF deal - customer service either doesn't connect through or breaks up during the call. Not going to bother with Citibank deals anymore I think.

  • Sorry bit of a silly question. Is there a way to get the bpay or account information early? Was it included in an email? I can't download a statement yet. I called up and transferred $1250 out of the account and it's been a few days and I want to transfer at least half back in to reduce the interest accrual until I get the email for the points claim.

  • Has anyone gotten the email for the points?

  • can you enlighten me how to spend $5K in 90 days, ATO, city council fee, centerlink debt do not count.

  • According to the T&Cs:

Offer exclusions: This offer is available only once per customer. If you have previously received, or are entitled to earn, 70,000 Velocity Frequent Flyer Points with this offer, you will not be eligible to earn another 70,000 Velocity Frequent Flyer Points with this offer.

I'll risk it and apply even though I have previously got the Qantas one.

    • how did you go?

  • Hello, just wondering if anyone has been knocked back when applying for credit cards after taking out this ready credit offer? I don’t want this to affect my churning

These jokers keep declining me even though I have a card with them which I pay in full every month.

Maybe they don’t like the fact that I only use it for a $20k PayAll each month!
