  • Any ozb reviews? Any good ?

    • I'd be curious to see one apart. I mean the cylinder in the centre, I'd assume that is designed to look like it holds compressed air, but is just plastic? Then other parts look like they are designed to look like aluminium with cooling fins, but are just plastic, so they aren't cooling jack. So what exactly do the components that really do the work look like? Does it really even have two cylinders?

I purchased a cheap one off eBay about a year ago and pulled it apart.
The central cylinder houses the motor (not a storage tank).
It was advertised as a dual cylinder, but only had one piston (the other cylinder was there, but had no piston installed). The piston was plastic as well, just had an o-ring inside to seal to the cylinder wall.
The aluminium look heatsink was all plastic.
It was a pile of junk, tho it did work (but for how long???).
I sent some photos back to the seller and got a full refund.
Buy a Kings Thumper Max or something similar.

        • One thing it does have going over that is a digital gauge+auto cutoff. Lot of those, that one included have a range that just doesn't look useful for filling car tyres. I mean 5 psi markings? Means have to overfill, then use a dedicated gauge and let some out. Suppose more accurate that way, but if you have a built in gauge with 1 psi markings, then there's no need.Fill to 37psi or whatever and done. Could also replace the gauge, but then you are spending even more.

Yeah this one is much better.
Also available on eBay with delivery.

      • I'm trying to checkout, it says pickup available from 27 Kings Stores but the seller is 4WD Supacentre.. I can't find a "Kings" store near me though. There's a 4WD Supacentre not far from me though.. Confusing.

Edit, is 4WD Supacentre actually called Adventure Kings 4WD Supacentre? I have no freaking idea wtf is going on..

        • +1

According to this "4WD Supacentre is home to the legendary Adventure Kings brand of camping and 4WD gear."
Looks like Kings and 4WD Supacentre are both under the same group.
If you have a 4WD Supacentre near you, just order it, then pickup in store.

          • @Malik Nasser: Yooo, thanks for confirming that brother!

Edit: I was worried they wouldn't have it at my local and they'd make me travel further for it instead of sending it to the store so I just paid the $10 for shipping.

  • By the way, if anyone needs to just inflate/deflate things. I believe these have come down like $40 and at 530/L per minute, I don't think you could go wrong for the price of $69. For comparison, the Xiaomi 1s only does 15/L per minute.

    • All depends on the pressure pressure you require, a low pressure device may be 530L per min but if you require a high pressure device then the figure is going to be closer to 50 per min for a battery device.

      • Maybe these are just slightly better than the Ozito Bunnings ones then?

      • As per the advertised specs: Maximum Working Pressure: 1 psi (gauge pressure)
These devices are not positive displacement pumps, hence the low max working pressure.

    Spend the extra $5.
    Local warranty, and proven quality.

    • Hey that's great. Plus the 3 year warranty

    • Your recommendation or the Kings Thumper MKiii posted above?

      • Double piston vs Single piston, up to you.
