  • Very nice hardware for the price. Was $449 a couple of weeks ago too, and was almost about to pull the pin on it, but snagged a Pixel 7 instead once JB finally dropped it (and was able to use the perks code on it too). Camera quality means a lot to me so had to get the Pixel over this.

The Edge 30 Fusion gets better battery life but I like that the Pro had wireless charging (I've already invested in too many wireless chargers lol).

I just sold my Edge 30 Fusion and battery life was not that great I can tell you that. It would heat up too

  • I am still on the Edge 20, camera is woeful, but battery is great, 3 days between charges. Light user here but never ever panicking for a charge.

    • What's your screen on time like with it? More than 6hrs avg?

      • Currently 47 mins with 71% battery as says 4 days to go lol.
I can report back once I run it low. I barely uses the screen, toilet breaks n shit lol

  • Single Sim version and does not come with a screen protector.
I bought it 6 months ago at this price. Good phone.

We bought and then returned this phone.
Having trouble with calls. 5 mins in, would lose the mic where the other person would not be able to hear me but I would be hear them fine. The sound would come back after a few minutes.

    • I have the Edge 40 and have had nothing but issues in chrome YouTube, the general UI, and notifications coming thru late and in messenger.

      Poor ROM optimisation, hands down.

      • Have you tried using Brave browser instead? Messenger is shit. Try and use some other IM and see if you can get instant messaging.

        • Nothing to do with that. Had a Poco F3 before this and first few firmwares had the same issues, and UI not rendering at 120fps at all times.

Lo and behold, fixed a few months after. 100% Motorola shit ROM optimisation.

  • Looks promising.

How's the camera on this phone?

    • +2

      It can take photos.

Serious answer. Its a camera. Not a very good one but its a camera.

  • +1

Thanks for the heads up about the camera. Was about to pull the trigger

Edge 20 is like a camera from 2000

    • Cameras are the main comprise made by budget and midrange phones. Unless it's a Pixel, it likely isn't good.

  • I bought it for that price in Oct 2022… back then it was a great price.

  • Does this have an SD card slot?
    How about audio jack?

    • No mention of SD card, but on dual sim version, says no audio jack.

  • I don't have a problem with the camera on this phone, it is much better than the garbage g series cams, and combined with gcam is it brilliant for the price imo, second to pixel 7. Only issue I've found is the mobile data standby drain is quite high. Phone is very very smooth and not laggy at all. Only got very warm when setting up the first time.

  • I'm thinking of a Motorola, either the g84 or the g54 but the OLED flickering has me scared of the g84… anyone have any experience?

    • +1

looks like g84 comes with 2 year warranty. Use a credit card with extended warranty for up to 3 years. G54 only 1 year warranty.

      • Thank you - hadn't considered that

        • +1

also, i just called the good guys. they gave the g84 to me for $290 (it's on backorder, so i'll collect once they get it in)

          • @Jakeh: whaaaaaat! Was that just a standard price match or through a corporate account of some sort?

            • +1

@AnonyL: I just called. Josh said he can't match eBay but said he'd give me the best price possible. He said cost was 290 or something like that. Only catch is the backorder, but I don't need a phone yesterday. My current moto g9 plus still doing the job 4 years on.
