    For those who don't know

Is this on sale price matching one of the supermarkets or is this the normal price?

    • Coles.
Bundaberg Brewed Drink Sarsaparilla 4x375mL | 4 pack for $4.80
      Save $2.55

      = $1.20 each.
      Diet version as well.

  • +7

    Diet Sarsaparilla is also on sale 24 x 375ml $28.80 ($25.92 S&S)

    • +4

Logged in to post exactly that myself, grabbed a 24 pack of Diet instead. Love Sars but the sugar content kills it for me!

      • Does the Diet include any other sweeteners, or is it just reduced sugar?

        • Usual..stevia etc. A bit of a crap shoot. Some bottles are nice..some taste chemical.

          • +4

@tunzafun001: The primary sweetener is aspartame sadly.

Would prefer a less sweet less sugary version.

          • @tunzafun001: I’m yet to find a single non-sugar sweetener that doesn’t taste like dish soap. Even in small quantities.
I guess not all tastes are the same.

    • Yasssss!

    • Do you like the taste of it? Can you please tell how does it taste like? I have been drinking diet ginget and enjoy but don't know if I should try new taste.

      • +2

Its Bundy but not ginger, Sarsaparilla has a very particular taste, not for everyone.

        • Oh dear! That doesn't sound good. I just ordered. Now thinking if I should cancel order.

          • +2

@amsaini15: Sarsaparilla has been described as having a bit of a medicine taste, think Dr Pepper or Root Beer. I love it, but it's definitely an acquired taste.

            • +11

@tritorius: Sarsparilla is root beer. Its sarsparilla root.

Definitely no comparison to Dr Pepper. That's gross.

          • +7

@amsaini15: Step 1: get soda water
Step 2: blend dirt and crickets into soda water
            Step 3: enjoy your sarsaparilla

            • +1

@lookingforadeal7: Its on sale for a reason …

              • @Shakow: My grandparents love the stuff and don't drink other sodas and would be highly offended that me and my siblings wouldn't drink it, I'm sure my pop would've been the type to chew tobacco back in the day which says a lot.

            • @lookingforadeal7: Do you have to wash the crickets?

              Asking for a friend..

          • +2

@amsaini15: I love Sars and the Diet Sars variant. I would say it's my personal favorite and I usually alternate between Diet Sars and Diet Ginger Beer.

      • +2

A lot of people liken it to Dr Pepper (I can see why, but don't really agree).

        • +9

Those people are wrong. Very, very wrong.

          • +3

@PainToad: They're definitely very wrong! Love Sarsaparilla, but Dr Pepper tastes like medicine!

        • Dr Pepper is more like strong coke/pepsi. Sars tastes very much different (and much better imo)

    • Thank you mate. My favourite. Ordered.

  • Our fav as well, grabbed 2. Thanks @bigspike

      I bought my 5 before posting :)

    yuck

  • No S&S option for me and says dispatches in 2-4 weeks.

Love sasparilla. Very refreshing. All natural ingredients from Bundaberg. Yes acquired taste but probably drink 3-4 over a month period then you will start craving it

    • Thanks mate. I was bit skeptical to get 24 bottles without trying but I trust your feedback :). I have bought diet sasparilla.

Hanging out for the diet one. Stud summer will be over well before February if I go full strength.

      As per AusRetro's post above;

      Diet Sarsaparilla is also on sale 24 x 375ml $28.80 ($25.92 S&S)

      • Mashallah, thank you my friend. I misread it as 12 x 375ml before somehow.

  • I hate that taste

For everyone talking about too much sugar. Just have one. Occasionally. You'll live. You're grandma made it 89 and it's wasn't the odd sweet that killed her.

    • -1

      One per …? Hour? Lifetime?

I'll take my chances with non-sugar sweetners

      • -1

what do you think occasionally means?

I would intend it to mean one every couple of weeks perhaps, if it pleased you to do so.
If your system isn't robust enough to handle that, perhaps you need to be more active or go see your doctor.

        • Some people prefer to have a drink more often than every other week.

Why are you calling the robusticity of my system into question?
I reckon my level of activity is just fine, but I'll do without the extra sugar, thanks.

You do you, I'll do zero sugar daily.

  • Actually it just cost me 12.40 without s&s.
When i paid Amazon applied a $2 promotion discount on top of the current discount.

  • How does this compare to Tarax ?

  • +1

    Awesome stuff.
Also can do the "Double Sars" . Just add some sarsaparilla cordial
