      Uhm

      FUGU

Toshiro : [looking at the diagram for cutting Fugu fish] Mmm-hmm… uh… poison, poison… tasty fish!

[holds his knife over the fish]

      Toshiro : Concentrate… concentrateeeee…

Homer Simpson : [from the other room] #I WANT FUGU!

Toshiro : [startled, he slips the knife] Aagh!

Refreshed the page expecting this reference.

        Wasn't disappointed.

      • Just buy something ha

    • +3

I think it would look good on you.

    • +1

I have one and paid $100 more. Don't think, just buy.

"Auto Movement - calibre 8204, Self winding, Hand winding & Hacking" I don't think you should claim this in the description until we have confirmation. Last batch was 8203.

    • Thanks removed. I pasted the specs from another Fugu post.

      • I have shot off an email to Deepak to try and confirm which it has.

        • Ok good idea, or just tag him here like this @StarBuy

          • +2

@WatchNerd: If it has 8204, my order is going in instantly lmao @StarBuy

            • @ASR-Briggs: Have you heard from Deepak?

              Calibre Accuracy: +20 / -40 seconds / day

This would suggest the 8204 but they mixed it up as should read -20/+40

            • @ASR-Briggs: You would think/hope it's the 8204.
              Just check then order ;).
              [email protected]

ps. got the NY0100-50M, bit similar but titanium (no sapphire) and 42mm ($399). Fair few different models to choose from but good price & recommended.

              • @G-rig: I emailed Deepak straight away as soon as the deal went up lol. He says he will let me know today what’s in it.

                • @ASR-Briggs: woot…!

                  • +1

@G-rig: I did not hear from him :-|

                    • @ASR-Briggs: pretty cheap anyway

                      • @G-rig: Just heard from Deepak. All 8203 :-(

                        • +1

@ASR-Briggs: I suspected that but it's great anyway sapphire for $300.
A komasu is over $400 and hard to find locally.

Otherwise look at the Eco-Drive series.

                          • @G-rig: I have a red Komasu and a Pepsi Mako II on the way already lol. So I’m not too upset. But I only have 1 citizen, a cheap NJ0171-81A that gets a surprising amount of wrist time. I’m actually blown away by the build quality of it. So much better than every Seiko I own. So I would have been happy to add another Citizen.

@ASR-Briggs: yeah those are good for sure, never had a komasu but have always liked them.
                              that green one mm

                              • @G-rig: i'd love the lilac 40mm one, but I have never seen a deal for it, and they are $400+ from Aus retailers. I only paid I think $300 for the Kamasu and $218 for the Mako.

                                • @ASR-Briggs: yeah that's enough to spend on those they aren't perfect by any means but have sapphire.

                                  • @G-rig: The Mako II doesn't if I'm not mistaken, but the Kamasu does

                                    • @ASR-Briggs: yes always get the komasu for that reason.

    • +1

      Send back if it's not a 8203, this isn't 2017.
Then again it may be why it's cheap and or may not worry some people.

  • +1

got a BN0163-00H before it sold out. thx nerd

    • Good to see you pulled the trigger, $44 cheaper than this morning from watch depot.

    • Less than what I paid, but lucky I didn't hold out because I would have missed this going OOS

    • Oris chrono for 2k is quite the buy.
Well done to anyone who picks one up.

      • Yeah? anyone know what the resale on Oris is like?

        • Probably as good as any entry level luxury (pre-luxury, depending on who you ask) brand.

Buy something you genuinely like, don't buy outside your means. Resale shouldn't matter.

  • Is Citizen Fugu NY0110-13E price all time low? Very tempting

  • Some nice looking movements in the sale, this week.
That Alpina Startimer looks quite cool. Love the movement in it.

  • Really liking this one…if only I’d won the $150M!

    https://starbuy.com.au/baume-et-mercier-mens-swiss-watch-104…

    • Not sure why you were negged for liking a watch.

    • I didn’t neg you but if I won $150m I’d be picking up a Patek in my 911.

Having said that, nice looking watch.

    • +2

Might pick up one of these if I win the $200M!

      • +1

Haha with $200M you could buy all 3.

  • Are these guys an actual store that you can go in person and buy?

    • You can purchase online and collect from their business address.

  • Yes, but can I buy in-store as well?

    I assume yes because it's a "showroom"?

    • No

  • The seiko looks like a 1960/70's tudor.
