OFFER TERMS
To make payments in-app at EG Fuels you must first load your Card to the app using a compatible device. Prior to spending or making a purchase, you must ensure that the location accepts in-app payments.
Valid for payments made by 31/03/2024 to be eligible for offer.
Offer is limited to a maximum of $15 credit per Card and $5 credit per eligible transaction.
Offer is limited to the Card to which the offer is saved and only spend on this Card counts towards the Offer.
Excludes transactions where you do not spend directly with your Card to which the offer is saved, in-app or in-person at EG Fuels. Offer valid at Australian app and locations only.
Excludes transactions made through a third party establishment or payment processor.
Credit is not redeemable for cash or other payment form.
Credit should appear on your billing statement within 15 business days from qualifying spend but may take up to 90 days from the offer end date.
Credit will not be applied to your Card Account if your Card has been suspended or cancelled.
Credit may be reversed if your qualifying purchase is refunded or cancelled.

    Got this on two cards. Never filled at EG but worth it for 6x$60 (and will look into the extra discounts - do they stack?)

      EG Ampol will only let you stack up to three different types of fuel discount offers in a single transaction (and you can only redeem one of each type of discount when stacking):

      1. Woolworths fuel discount offer: the discount offer you earn when you spend $30+ in one transaction on eligible items at Woolworths / Woolworths Metro.

      2. Spend in-store offer: the discount offer you earn when you spend $5+ on eligible items in the EG Ampol convenience store.

      3. EG Club / partner discount offer: the discount offer you can access through the EG Club app (usually for new EG Club members only) or through a number of EG’s partners (e.g. Origin Energy, RACV). (The partner discount with RAA is an outlier, as that officially cannot be stacked with the Woolworths fuel discount offer unless otherwise advertised.)

      If you want to know more about fuel discounts at EG Ampol and how they can (and cannot) be stacked, I suggest you read the EG Ampol entry on the Fuel Discounts wiki.

      If you are finding that the cost of fuel at the EG Ampol service station(s) in your area is still too high for your liking, you could always purchase a gift card. All the EG Ampol service stations I have been to within the last year sold WISH gift cards, but there are other gift cards usually sold at EG Ampol (e.g. Apple, Ultimate, Google Play).

      I used my EG Ampol / AMEX offer last year to purchase $60 WISH gift cards at two separate EG Ampol service stations on two different days and received the statement credit each time. (I assume you did not use yours in the end?) At one service station I went to, WISH gift cards were hidden in a cabinet behind the counter and out of view of the customer, so if you are after WISH gift cards and cannot see them in the convenience store, it is always worth asking the staff member.

      Must be separate transactions on the amex card. Ask to pay off $60 each time

        No, as with other amex offer you can spend the total in one hit and cashback will automatically apply.

          Have you verified this is the case for this specific cashback offer?

          The wording for this cashback is different to a lot of the other AMEX cashback offers. For example, the terms of this offer states:

          Offer is limited to a maximum of $15 credit per Card and $5 credit per eligible transaction.

          If I charge $180 once to my AMEX card at an EG Ampol, according to that clause, I should only get $5 credit, not the $15 credit you are suggesting I would receive.

          On the other hand, for this relatively recent Ampol cashback offer, the terms of the offer I received only stated:

          Offer is limited to a maximum of $10 credit per Card.

          Spending the total in one hit (for me, $150) would have seen me receive the full cashback in one hit. I also found that I could take as many transactions as needed to hit $150 and I would still get the full $10 credit.

            @WookieMonster: If anyone takes the chance, spend $120 (for $10 or $5) in one purchase is better than spend $180 in order to know how it works.

            @WookieMonster: I haven't had time but given how lax amex interpret their own terms it wouldnt be the issue this time. In the past amex did $60 $5 back 3 times, it doesn't matter if you do 3x$60, 1x$180 or $50+$130, you still got the same amount back, in fact once you reach the $60 threshold you'll get $5 back, so this time the threshold is $180 because they don't want make their algorithm to complicated to themselves at the expense of the complaint departments.

        Thanks. Managed to find Wish gift cards in one of the stores. Bought 4 x $180 worth split payed $60 each transaction(supplementary cards). Hopefully the credits come through.

        Although the card doesn’t display EG or Caltex logos, apparently physical wish gift cards can be used at these servos.
