IIRC this is roughly the normal sale price but it used to have a lower RRP?

Unless I'm confused and this is a more expensive bundle than I'm thinking of.

  • Shipping is $15 for me…

    • I can see from past posts that they have had free delivery before but the bundle has been more expensive?

This bundle seems to include patches and stickers that dont seem to have been in the bundle before?

  • $20 post to SA

Good deal. I did manage to damage one of the very small pentolope screws and they sent me another one

    I'm seeing it's already OOS

      same here

It's probably for the best, I didn't need the stress of figuring out whether or not it was a good enough deal to spend the money on something I didn't need.

      • +1

        Definitely in the same boat!

    Out of stock already damn

  • Genuine question: How are these better than the ones we get from Jaycar or the ones we buy separately from Aliexpress/ebay etc?

    • +1

Tried and tested by an actual company that specialises in fixing things, rather than a company making them purely for profit only

good quality and trusted brand. they have good part replacement programs and warranty. they fight for right to repair and partner with big tech companies like google to sell parts for phones

    • I've had my kit now for 8 years - I work pulling apart PCs, laptops and phones, and I've only had one bit fail in that entire time (PH01) and that was more my fault than the tool. Fantastic kit, particularly if you are going to be using it regularly.

Damn! After hearing all the good things about the kit I now want to get one. Will keep a look out for the next sale.

  • i have the xiaomi one and highly recommend it

  • I'd have grabbed it, but I don't need it. I do want some of their spudgers though.

  • Damn, would have liked to have grabbed one

  • woohoo let's void our warranties x.x

  • Bummer, already oos now

  • I really like their stuff, even though it's pricey it seems well designed. I have a few of their tools.

  • Orbit Patch looks cool! I'd never try to fix the world - it's fuked! Blame people.

Anyway got the Pro Tech Toolkit during the pandemic. Solid Kit. A relief too they don't stink, neither does the fabric or plastic.

The ozbargain toolpro spanner kits from supercheap for 29.99$ - the fabric rollup bags smell sickening - not sure why.. probably cheap. So did the bag for a video microscope and a bunch of cheap pliers off amazon. Get what you pay for I guess!

Gamer Bundle - https://australia.ifixit.com/products/gamer-bundle $114.74 (Was $203.99) + shipping *AUD prices, for all the thousands of switch controllers that need drift fixing :OMFG:

    • Thanks for posting that seems like a decent consolation prize to get so I have ordered 1. :)

  • Any decent budget alternatives from aliexpress temu or ebay?
    Need to fix my ipad

  • Bugger. Had been keeping my eye on this toolkit for weeks, too late for the sale and now OOS 😢
