8 grind settings!? I paid $699 recently for the Barista Pro… happy to pay the extra

Do yourself a favour and get standalone grinder, it makes noticeable difference to taste
If you were to buy a separate grinder, you might as well get a Bambino Plus instead of this
I recently purchased the Breville Barista Express Impress, $674 and for a friend, I purchased the Delonghi Specialista Cold Brew, the top end of this model, $900 with gifts down from RRP of $1500 (used discount code on posted deal). She is now upset that she didn’t buy the Breville because she has been making coffee for years as a barista and found her machine to be inferior to the Breville.
I love the coffee from my Breville, but you do need to get the settings right to your taste. In my case, fine settings - lower values on inner and outer for grind.
Watched a lot of YouTube for settings info.
Where can you get the express impress for that price?
I would add: get the settings right for each type of coffee bean you use
As my purchases are based on quality + what is on a deal, every new bag of coffee I have to find the sweet spot again of the settings, though nowadays it takes 2-3 brews to achieve it.
Bambino plus + separate grinder!
I got the Barista Pro (…and cheap) and if I had my time again I would get this combo for sure….
I have the barista touch, used the built-in grinder for about a year before getting a separate grinder which was a lot better re taste and workflow.
In hindsight I too would have gone with bambino plus and a grinder, with flexibility to upgrade machine down the track.
$699 definitely great price for the barista pro though!
Waiting for the dual boiler to be back on sale at 1k 😁
