    Wu-Ben again?

      Aww yeah, again and again

Thanks for posting. Grabbed one for crawling under the house, loving the power on my C3, expecting this to be similar.

Does this have a single button to switch through all the modes?

My biggest annoyance with every single head lamp I have bought is that every time I want to turn it off or on I have to cycle through every lighting option to do so, instead of one click its 3/4/5/6.. its a minor annoyance but when you have to use it every day multiple times it gets quite frustrating.

    • Looks like 1 button only yea

      • One day my prayers will be answered.. thanks for posting anyway, great deal for a camping headlamp or something like that.

        • Black Diamond has two buttons and it's a joy

          • @corvusman: Awesome stuff thank you mate, its going on my list to buy!

Once you get past the ultra-cheap ones, most of the cheaper better value* torches generally allow 1 button operation that includes single click on or off and long press to change modes. Or some variation of that, double click to turn on/single click to change modes, long press to turn on/hold or single click to change modes etc.

          Including this one: https://1lumen.com/review/wuben-h1/#flashlight-driver

*'enthusiast brand' might be an alternative to 'better value' depending on how you look at it.

According to reviews I’ve read in the past it has mode memory. Single click on should be the previous used mode and single click to turn off, if my memory serves me correct…

    • I have one of these.

Long press will turn it off.

Long press from off will go straight to red light

I wish this had USB C, would be an instant buy.

    • +6

Correct - I've had a self imposed policy for about 12 months now….. no USB-C….. no deal

      • I'm actually waiting to see what Olight do with all of their magnetic charging products. The latest releases have USB-C but some products don't really lend themselves to a USB port such as the Obulb lineup.

  • "H1 LED " reading this….here's me thinking it used a car headlamp for super brightness..haha

  • Any good for running as we come into winter? Or any recommendations

    • I’d imagine it would be at least decent

    • Any good for running as we come into winter? Or any recommendations?

I have one of these. It’s obviously in a different price bracket but I think it’s great for dark runs. I only use it on full brightness on trails and even then I tend to have the flood light on full. And the spot on low or medium as it’s easily enough brightness in most cases and it helps prolong the battery.

  • This or the Blukar recommended by Amzn? The Blukar is cheaper, with zoom and a couple of thousands reviews avg 4.6.
    Anyone had experience with them?

    • Blukar has motion sensor switch apparently- AWESOME feature… would it get accidentally activated? Hmm

I think I’d also prefer the top strap on head of the Wuben for more security/fit and maybe would sit better on my hard hat for site visits.

Also I already have the other Wuben torches… I just want a full set bonus thing going.

Magnetic tail caps are hella underrated feature imo
Looks like a Great buy for not much more

This may even be more of a deal. My son took one of these away with him to Camp America (as a counselor) for three months, with no power in the cabins. It was used extensively and he loved it.

Very useful headlamp with the two LEDs (i.e. use the smaller LED for reading and moonlight function). Also very powerful, a feature he used when they were searching for a run-away kid (they found him, but they had a lack of powerful torches like this one).

Personally I like my Sofirn HS10, but it is much smaller and lighter (different use case)

    • On the images, this shows that you can put a smaller battery in it but do you know if it will still fit in the headband with a shorter body?

  • Micro USB? Cmon people it’s 2024.

Go Wurkkos HD15 instead if you need usb c as per above

      • I bought the wurkkos HD15 yesterday (~40 aud from wurkkos website), but regretted when i saw the lumen runtime graphs, way too much fluctuation indicating poor regulation, in comparison the Wuben H1 has no fluctuation, holding a constant lumen until dead batt, hence down another 40 bucks haha.

        • I also ordered the hd15 yesterday haha!

Got it via Amazon though… if no good I will just return it . I’m sure it will be relatively fine though. The magnetic end cap for me was the major selling points

  • Hmmmm. I reported that this post was active again. It is now expired. Seems like you can only report posts once though
