iPhone 15 Pro Max is actually 256gb, not 128gb. This model didn't come in 128gb.

    • +2

      copy & paste gone wrong

  • -5

Would officeworks price beat work with that?

    • +7

How are you going to price beat with points??

      • -1

Oh i missed the with points section….

    • Just knew somebody would ask this.

  • +1

Bit of a typo, it should say i15 Plus or i15+ and 128GB

  • +3

    How do we get points

    • Sign up with Telstra, new plans, promos, or buy them from friends

  • Amazing deal!

  • +4

How do I get some stupid Telstra points?

    • +3

It is forbidden to discuss the methods

      • +5

        The methods are also forbidden

        • The forbiddens are the methods

    • Singing up to a Telstra plan.

  • What can you get with 17k Telstra points?

    • +2
    • I got the 5000 mAH MagSafe battery for 17.6K points. $5.95 postage

    • I just checked. $300 discount is for all iPhone 15 range. Point is not necessary for the deal, but you do need a Telstra account.

      • Or… price match the $300 discount with Optus as I did.

      • Hmm somehow I don't see the option to buy without points. How did you manage? I'm 6000 points down unfortunately. Thanks.

        • +1

Have to do it through the app.
Services - Looking for something new - outright device - search for phone

          • @ozbargainer998: Thanks, i see it now. Unlike with pay + points, I can't do 24 months instalment outright tho. Thanks.

  • +1

So if I have this right you have to have spent $1,700 with telstra to have accumulated that many points?

    • or have booked accommodation with booking.com. I made 20k points with my recent trip to new zealand. There's also heaps of deals going on to get points. I've managed to get 150,000 points on my account without really paying my bill (accumulated credit on my account for working in enterprise, that doesn't count towards points.)

  • -4

Wonder if can price match at OW

    • +1

      Just call 132200

  • +1

Wow, never thought apple current gen phones will have good discounts within a year

  • Wow, this is cheaper than the Pixel 8 Pro!

  • Are these locked to Telstra (or customised in some way)?

    • +3

      fully unlocked!

      • Great - thanks!

  • Problem is you need quite a lot of points to meet the minimum required.

Is it risky to prepay a sum to get the points and let the monthly payments eat up the credit balance?

  • +2

So you need to have 17,100 Telstra Plus Points on top of $1152. It is exclusive to [Telstra] account holder and with enough points.

    • +2

yes 17,100 points will get you a $47 discount, ,but you get back 11,520 points, so the $47 discount is only costing you 5,580 points

  • +2

Thanks OP, used 23,600 points to buy IP15PM 512GB for $2184, saving $365 (~15%) off RRP.

It looks like pretty good value - usually ~20k points will only get you ~$40 in GCs or smaller items.

FYI you can transfer Telstra Points from other accounts, just need to ask Telstra chat. Got 4k transferred from my parent's account to get over the line.

  • -1

couldn't you have brought it from jb or ow for the same price without using your pointsS? I did

    • +1

Are you talking about price matching the $300 off deal? Looks like people have had mixed results, how did you do it?

    • +1

They are not agreeing to price match with Telcos. How did you do it

      • +2

I brought two with the price match and used Jb gift cards to pay for them . The oz b way

        • chad

edit: dont forgot to claim back the GST via TRS when you go overseas next

So if you get this plan:
    https://www.telstra.com.au/mobile-phones/sim-only-plans#plan…
you get 50k Telstra points. Could one theoretically sign up for this plan, get the points, and then do this deal with the phone?

    • Worth a shot… gonna try it myself

    • Where is mention of 50k Telstra points? Can’t seem to find it

  • How much is this this normally?
    iPhone 15 128GB $1152 + 17,100 Telstra Plus Points
I have 21,500 approx in points so I only pay $1152 for the phone is that a good price?
Still using an apple se 2nd edition.
So with a purchase like this you gain another 11.500 approx correct? And with the 4,400 approx left over i would have approx just less than 16,000 points again.
Can you get this deal twice or is it not that much of a deal?
As myself and wife both have apple se 2nd gen phone so this might be a good upgrade.
But in saying that is the 17.000 points the lowest points you can use.

    • And this is no plan either yes? As already with boost

  • damn wify bought a iPhone at full price for b day

  • +1

Top deal! You can repay it over 12 or 24 months too…

Does anyone know how quickly before you get the bonus points?

  • -3

Are they made in India? I just want one made in China

  • If I buy with 12 months repayments, can I use a sim card from another company such as Optus?

    • yes its unlocked any network

    • So you can pay for the phone over 12 months does it affect credit score or classed as loan?
I’m a boost customer I take this phone does not have to take a contract out?
I could get one and use point towards it and I just be short of points for a second phone if it allows you to get second phone.
But would just be short of the 17.000 points second time.
Ideally one for wife and 1

  • +1

Thanks OP, when does this deal end? Seeking to get a 15PM 256GB.

    • +1

on one add I see 4th march on another I see 18th, to be safe get it by the 4th march

      • +1

Awesome, sorry I didn't see that on the ad. Thank you :)

        • +1

          No probs

  • has someone tried buying 15 pro on 12 repayments ? I tried several times but the page shows technical error.

    • +1

If you wish to qualify for repayment over 12 months, you must use Telstra services for a minimum of 12 months. That ‘s why it shows error

      • Thanks mate .. though I have been using Telstra since 2022 , seems like I still don't qualify … Gonna raise this with support …

  • meaning you have to have atleast amount of points in-order to buy an iphone? I'm confused

  • +1

Thank you, just now my local OW allowed price beat for an iPhone 15 256gb (for my wife an upgrade from iPhone 12). The manager took a while on their device to try replicate the price on Telstra website. In the end I showed her while logged in to the Telstra app (don't think they realised), adding the phone as outright and checking out. After which, they authorised the price beat. I would say I got quite lucky and it may have possibly helped as it was the last one in that colour and storage size.

  • +1

Thanks OP had 48,000 points left still from the $1 a month for the first 2 months telstra nbn deal a while ago ended up paying $1080 bucks for the 128GB iPhone 15 should be a good upgrade from the 128GB iPhone 12 I currently have which needed a battery replacement.

  • +3

got me 50,000 bonus points, now to order myself a new 15!

  • Just sharing in case others are having similar issue.
I have been unable to purchase IPhone Pro using point + pay and paying off over 1 or 2 yrs
Have been in contact with support twice so far and no help but they say they will get back to me in next 24 hours!!!

Both app and webpage give 'Something Went wrong' error,
I am guessing it may be because I only currently have a prepaid service with them but have been using Telstra services for many years.

    • An update. Telstra eventually called me. They say issue was my profile had too many users.
Even with that fixed I couldnt buy over 24 months and it still errored on page instead of just saying that couldnt be done.
I was able to buy with points and payment though.

      • I'm trying to buy outright and unable to check out, keep getting the same error you're describing. And support has been less than useful.

  • Are we able to buy this outright in-store without having to buy points and what not? Would like the iPhone 15 256gb

    • yes see here, a little more expensive to make up for the points difference

  • I hope no one is in a rush to get their phone delivered. I did the Google Pixel 8 deal with points two weeks ago. I still don't have my phone.

3 chat agent convos, basically said the same. Stock has been allocated today it will dispatch today and you should have it 3- 5 days. Tried calling twice, was told they were going to talk to the case manager, goes to dead air and nothing happens. Worst customer service ever. Seems I can get in touch with the team that looks after "rewards"
