    Anyone else still not received their gift card? Nearly an hour later and still nothing, says it's "scheduled" and "Sit tight. Your order is still processing." in order history. Money came out of account immediately after ordering.

    It has rejected the card twice via website on phone and desktop.
    I'm now on the phone with Virgin, waiting for them to answer

      Better be bringing back individual Amazon or eBay cards. Without the super shopper, the platform is just not very kind. I hate having to keep track of partially spent funds on these ewallets.

    Looks like they blocked ALL prepaid cards (not just gift cards).

    • Not sure who is blocking who but Virgin debit card is also rejected, even with the SMS verification.
      Virgin blamed Special for rejecting

    The APP is working, can confirm I am able to purchase the 10% off Woolworths card from APP and activate.

    • I too am getting this on the APP and the website when I try to activate the card from the email link. I also get this message when going through google links looking for a contact:

      "This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below."

      What a fail this has been. Generated nothing but anger and distrust.

    I activated the card. And it was stored in the account. Did not capture the card numbers. Now the site is not working.

    • A bit too early to do chargeback. Wait few more hours I'd say. (I bought two and I'm experiencing the same issue)

        Got all three of my cards working (three separate accounts, two debit cards used). Added to Apple Pay Wallet and purchased three $100 wish gift cards from Woolworths. All transaction was successful. Thank you for the post, saved $30. Glad that I did not revoke my vote! Will buy from Special again if discounted.

          Special isn’t a scam. But it was a disastrous promotion, poorly done.

          When I added Woolworths to wallet and it declined at checkout was really annoyed. Worked again a few days later still. Doesn’t deserve an upvote.

  • App seems to be working for me on and off, just enough that I have now been able to get a copy of the card details and add it to the wallet in between it reverting to the "We are working on something Special" message.
    Haven't tested to see if the card will actually work when attempting to use it.

    For those who didn't/haven't paid already, you may be missing out on $10 savings, but fortunately you're also missing out on dealing with this and maybe losing $90 - so I'm not sure which is the deal yet ¯_(ツ)_/¯

    I can't believe they have now shut down their entire website, and the $100 WW Special gift card in my Google Wallet shows "suspended"…

  • I managed to buy the Woolworths card with a Westpac card after Virgin card was rejected. Added to Google wallet and tried to use at Woolworths for Wish gift card and groceries. Green tick but transaction was declined. Now 'suspended' message on wallet.

    Well maybe they did not have the capacity to actually enforce those purchase limits resulting in more sales than planned, or one account buying multiple times (the discount was still applied when I tested a second purchase on the same account - lucky I did not go through with it as I knew they may pull this crap). So I'm guessing they're trying to work out which purchases violated the terms and cancel those respective cards. If they don't refund properly though they're in for a shitstorm.

    P.S. Got mine added to Apple Pay just fine right after purchase, thought about using it right away…..I wish I did lol

    • I have the same issue! So bad and don't know what I can do next. Even now their website was down and no one I can contact with.

      • Ah yes it appears others have had issues charging back merchants when using the special card. I will be using amex to charge back special :)

            @Firexx: Chargeback is basically you contacting the credit card provider to contest a charge, and asking them to return the money to you. Usually done if there's fraud involved or the item is very much not as promised and the seller refuses to remedy the situation.

    This is a complete scam! Most of the time the system was down. When it was up, it couldnt process payment.
    Basically they just wanted to stress test their system and they had worked out its much cheaper to spend this $15k rather than employing proper testing tools.

  • Anyone is having issue using the woolworths gift card? I tried to use it at the store but the transaction is declined.

    • you will need to message them on facebook during business hours. they should be able to fix it for you in a hour.

      • My cards was showing as suspended on my google wallet, but was showing under "Active" cards on App.
        I messaged them on Facebook, and they ask for the card numbers, and now they are all cancelled now

        • This is the reply on Facebook
          "We are sorry, we were overwhelmed with the response from yesterday's sale, and as a result, there was an issue with processing the payment for your gift card. We have now processed a refund for your purchase. It may take a couple of days to appear in your account.

          The Special website and App are now back up and running; from here, you can manage your account and any previously purchased cards and make regular purchases.

          We apologise for any inconvenience caused and will use this experience to deliver something more special in the future."

            All 3 added to my wallet and now are cancelled.
            They promised to refund the order in 3 to 5 days, let's see otherwise my $300 is in drain.

            I had purchased quite a few cards from them using various offers from Amex and CommBank and no issues, so trusted this brand, big mistake
