      That's what I generally buy, mainly for the caffeine… They're good for a bit of an energy boost through the day on multi-day hikes or desert rides…

          49mg of caffeine, not a huge amount, less than a cup of coffee I believe, but they're still good as a coffee replacement through the day if you're hiking or the likes…

          (as a comparison, a 250ml Redbull has about 80mg of Caffeine)

          Yes, I believe Cool Mint is the only one with caffeine…

          With the amount of sugar in Clif Bars I probably wouldn't feed them to kids but I guess they're not much worse than any other junk food, choc bars and such…

          (personally I only buy Clif bars to use on multiday hikes and rides, a sugar energy boost the help me push through the day when I'm burning a LOT of calories and I'm running at a deficient due to living off dehydrated meals and the likes )

        12 Apr 2024 here.
        As mentioned it's best before, not expire so you can eat well after the date (and no dairy or animal products).

      Same, that's the best one overall IMO (lower fat).
      $1.58 each pretty good (vs $3).
