        Just tried, doesn’t work anymore

        • I just did it, make sure you calculate payment to exclude the 0.4% since they add it on afterwards.

e.g. $250 coles mastercard you want to pay off $249.01 on deft

          • @CodeXD: The number is right. But I am getting
            Error
Sorry, your payment cannot be processed. Please try again using a different card, or contact your bank.

    • +1

Yes but don't use DEFT's payment gateway. Use Sniip (BPay)

      • +2

Why? DEFT fees are 0.4%. Sniip fees are 0.85%.

        • Interesting. Was a lot higher when I last checked. If that's the case then go nuts!

          • @cooni: Bpay via zippay has no fee but not sure if this mastercard can be added

            • @CodeXD: Cannot add this Coles mastercard or the VISA card to zip pay.

    • During the last promo, DEFT works but only if you use the one-time payment off their portal home page. If you login via your DEFT account and try to add a CC to your account, the payment will fail

      • can you pay rent in partial payments using DEFT?

        • +1

Yes, I've done this in the past using multiple $250 GCs when using the one-time payment option. You will need to adjust the amount to pay and take the DEFT fee into consideration during the review page. Also, as pointed out from others, your DEFT account may get locked after 4 transactions so YMMV

    • My DEFT account got locked/deleted after 4 transactions. Called them, they will investigate and get back.

    • Just tried, and doesn’t work anymore

  • I received the message "transaction failed" and about 10 minutes later my bank called me to warn me the website has been comprimised in the past which is why the transaction failed.

    • There have definitely been incidences of them sending the same card to different people, or the cards being hacked after a while, but they seem to be more isolated cases. Regardless, I would definitely suggest using them ASAP if you do buy them.

  • Can I use these to purchase the Iphone from Telstra instore (the other ongoing deal) ?

    • I don't think so you will have an option to pay instore but online store it should work

  • Amex Essential failed to process.

    • From the previous comments, I'm assuming all payment processing are blocked at the moment?

    • I messaged AMEX and they are not getting the transactions

  • +1

I suspect the cause of most "transaction failed" is their backend was never designed to handle this amount of security checking, so probably errors/times out regularly. Which causes even more traffic as people continue to hammer the site haha…

    • First batch of 10x: Citibank (NAB) CC in Chrome. Tax invoice within a minute, all cards received within 5 mins.
Second batch of 10x: 28Deg CC, used incognito in Chrome, added a period to my email. No other changes. Tax invoice within a minute, all cards received within 5 mins.

(Attempts with the Citibank and another NAB card failed between the two successful batches, but just waited a bit and kept trying)

    • Third batch of 10x: CBA CC, used Microsoft Edge, added two periods to my email, different address. Tax invoice within a minute, all cards received within 5 mins.

  • Has anyone called them for a WTF explanation about why so many cards are failing?

I'm @ work and don't have the time.

    • Ozbargained

  • paid with macquarie debit card and received all giftcards within 5 min

  • My westpac, 28 and Amex all not working

  • Is Sniip the best option to pay for school fees via BPay?

    • NOTE TO ALL: Some billers do not accept prepaid mastercard as payment!!!

  • I just purchased 10x 250 via Amex - appears to have worked. Received confirmation of the order.

    • and giftcards received in my inbox less than 5mins later.

FYI I'm using the Qantas business card which I believe is a charge card. Not sure if it makes any difference to the purchase or not!

  • Tried with Amex and got transaction failed error.

  • Up card never fails me.

    • Failed me

      • Scrap that, up worked on like the 10th attempt

          I did 10, but 11th was blocked

        • +1

I can confirm mine is getting rejected when attempting the 10th card. I was hoping to do more :(

          • +1

@FFx0: I did first 10 no issues. I have not managed to purchase more yet due to transaction failed error

          • +1

@FFx0: If you have income tax and quarterly tax, or BAS, you can pay to the 2 different ATO account to get around the limit. And if you have multiple entities, you can do more again.

      • +2

max 15 a day. you can make an additional 5 payments via the Government easypay site - https://www.governmenteasypay.gov.au/payato?a=84435932&dl=RB…

can you share a link for where you are processing payments that allows you 15 a day?

          • +2

@edman: 10 payment transactions when you login to your ATO account and 5 more thru the link i provided using the PRN

    • Thanks all - got around the issue by paying over the phone. Took about 20 minutes for 5 cards

  • Payment details form is circling, won't even let me enter the details for it to fail me!

    • +1

So a $100.00 gift card costs $94.50 (Total cost for $100 gift card is $94.50 ($90 for card + $4.50 purchase fee)) but then there is a $7.00 activation fee, so I am out of pocket, how is this a bargain? The $250.00 card may be a bargain, what am I missing here?

    • +5

$94.50 is the final amount that you will pay. Where did you get $7 activation fee from?

      • "Where did you get $7 activation fee from?" - No idea, I need more coffee. Thanks, now this makes a lot more sense.

    • I checked my email and the $7.00 activation fee was in the headline: Coles Mastercard $100 & $250 - 10% off plus $7 activation

So go ahead and "neg" me all you like, it was there in the email:

      Greetings, peter!

edman has submitted a new deal for Financial.

      Coles Mastercard $100 & $250 - 10% off plus $7 activation
Posted by edman on 28 February at 09:10 in Financial Expires on 28 February

      • But if you check the time of your comment vs when the title/description was last edit - All the details currently in it was available to you more than an hour before you commented.

It is very clear what you are paying for and how much

        $100 for $94.50, $250 for $231.30

  • Any workaround for "Transaction failed" error ?

  • Amex failed, visa st george amplify worked.

    • St George Amplify also worked for me

  • Is it worth contacting CommBank or just keep trying? As in, is it a bank issue or giftcards.com.au issue?

  • Had to disable my adblocker, worked ordering 3x. Got the confirmation, waiting for the GCs now.

  • Virgin Money card from recent Velocity bonus deal worked fine and received within minutes. Paid off some of my HECS debt immediately via ATO and EasyPay (5x each) with no issues.

    • Single transaction or across two?

      • Two. Max 10 in one transaction.

        • Same card, email, etc or did you change a few things?
