              removed all cards and only bought like 300 in gift cards. annoying but I'll wait another day or so, I'm sure it'll kick in

    Bought 30x $250 GCs and paid all to ATO over 2 days. Saved $546…this is post tax dollars..if you are on the top marginal tax rate, you will have to earn >$1K to have $546 in your pocket so certainly worthwhile. Would have bought more but offer closed early…not surprising as this will be a loss maker for Coles / Heritage bank or whoever runs it now!

    Everytime this 10% offer is run, it closes earlier than advertsed!

    Far out. Devastated I missed this. Found out my new rental I can pay rent using these cards with only a 0.4% fee so effectively had 9.5% off rent for last few months. Until I ran out

      It is not 10% off but 7.48 because of the purchase fee. So just over 7% off after the payment fee. Maybe you feel better now.

    A pain in the neck for using these $250 Coles MC cards. I bought 4 of them and received the links.
    When I tried to use one of them on eBay, it was declined. I tried to add this to PayPal, it was also declined.

    When I call their 'so call' customer service, they politely said, 'Sorry, for safety and protection of the customer' the eBay transaction on $200 on your $250 MC card was declined. You cannot use this card on eBay! Try to use it on another store or type in the card number in a physical store credit card machine!!'

    Anyone had similar experiences to share?

    I used 4x $250 to make a super contribution and got a please explain letter from the fund. They wanted to see a receipt for the cards, my credit card statement and to tell them the "source of the funds". Luckily I was able to provide this. Oh, and they gave me 3 days to respond. Haven't heard back from them since I sent it.

      Is this to check your credit left? I get that a lot with the physical cards. No idea why but will work after a period of time. I think that using another browser or switching to iOS etc might work but that is a bit hit or miss. Maybe someone in this chat knows of a technical reason why it fails like this.

      I've been getting the 'system error' messages for a week. Tried multiple cards, multiple computers, a mobile phone, and several different browsers. It's always broken.

      This is really annoying and makes the cards difficult to use.

          I just tried it now. System error, same as always. Two different browsers, one phone and one PC, on two separate internet connections.

            @Cluster: Try incognito browser too.

            I just tested it and works fine for me in MS Edge both normal browser with uBlock enabled and incognito with no extensions. From the email right click and open link in InPrivate Window. Goes straight to the balance, no verification required either.

                Subject: "You have been sent an eGift Card"

                Are you talking about a different card? Hope you're not trying to enter VISA gift card details into Mastercard balance checker or vice versa lol
