[macOS] Cleanshot X License $0 (Was US$29/ ~A$44) @ AppSumo

270
CLEANSHOTFREE

This is an amazing screenshotting app on macOS. Great for gif/video recording, scrolling capture (capture long webpage / scrolling documents), editing/annotation.

You must create a new account if you already had an AppSumo account previously, then use CLEANSHOTFREE code at checkout.

Enjoy!

Free, but still requires credit-card details, and PayPal won't work with a $0 total?

    • Was just about to comment with the same!

I used a one-off CC from my Revolut account.

  • Screenpresso is pretty good too

    • Windows only.

Free now, but the very first review was posted 4 weeks ago. Should I be suspicious?

    I would wait for a bit @neolivz

It happened before where the code stopped working; then they fixed it

    I still ended up paying like 50cents but I don't mind ;)

  • I love CleanShot X, paid full price few years ago. Use it every single day!

  • just switched from PC to Mac and was missing the snipping tool,

this seems to fill the gap nicely

Give Shottr (https://shottr.cc/) a go. The best screenshot tool on Mac OS I've used. And it is free and light weight.

    • Thanks, looks very good.

My favourite! I even bought a licence just for the thrill

It's also my favourite app on Mac OS. I also got my licence when the paid version was introduced. (The free version is good enough - as no difference from the paid version)

The developer keeps rolling out great features. It is worth getting the paid version to support the developer.

Yeah this app is great, use it daily. Free version is great but I also bought a licence to support the dev.

  • Check out Snipaste. The free version is powerful enough for me. Works on both Mac and Windows
