Give me the Ryzen any time of the day

Actually, these new intel chips are finally good. It's been Ryzen for power/performance for a few years but it seems the new architecture has helped intel get back into the conversation and they are using the Arc GPU in the package too I believe.

        • It depends on the TDP and the RAM spec of the laptop. The initial reviews in December were with Intel supplied laptops where the TDP was a lot higher and the RAM was 7500. Unfortunately what the consumer gets on shelf has a lot more restricted TDP, otherwise the battery wouldn't last long, and RAM speed is slower at 6400 to keep costs down. Recent reviews from of the shelf units has been mixed where performance is not as good, and Intel Arc GPU performance is a lot worse than the AMD Ryzen, that has already been out for a year.

For example the MSI Claw with the Intel Ultra and ARC graphics has significantly worse graphics performance that the Asus Rog Ally with the Ryzen CPU:

          • @shellshocked: Ahhh thanks for the update, don't get me wrong I love Ryzen and AMD, I had my hopes up the competition was back… sigh.. competition is so important for the industry.
