Gaming PCs: RTX 4080 Super with 32GB RAM, 1TB Gen4 SSD R7-7800X3D: $2659, i7-14700F: $2548 + Post @ TechFast

Hey hey it's Superday - 4080 Super to be exact as we're back for March deals across Intel and AMD CPU pairings. These were extremely popular in Feb. We've upped the RAM on all three builds to 32GB, along with the 1TB Gen 4 SSDs and MAG Forge 320R airflow cases, and some specific motherboard, cooler and PSUs according to on-hand/inbound stock for this month. This config might work out a little cheaper than Feb orders, as always if this does work out any cheaper for any unshipped i9 or i7 orders from Feb (which are currently in production right now) you may claim the difference via email to [email protected]. Applies to Unshipped only.

Also if you haven't already, watch Shogun, it's awesome.

  • Core i7-14700F processor
  • RTX 4080 Super graphics (PNY in use in March)
  • 120mm Air Cooler (DeepCool AG400/AG500 in use in March)
  • B760M WiFi motherboard (Asus Prime WiFi primarily in use in March - won't be MSI Bomber WiFi as there are incompatibilities with 14700F for some reason)
  • 32GB 5200MHz DDR5 RAM (Team Delta mostly in use)
  • 1TB Gen4 NVMe m.2 SSD (ADATA Legend 800)
  • 750W 80+ Gold PSU (XPG and FSP in use in March)
  • MSI MAG Forge 320R Airflow case

Ryzen 7 7800X3D | RTX 4080 Super Gaming PC: $2659 after 7800X3D-4080S-MAR

  • Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor
  • RTX 4080 Super graphics (PNY in use in March)
  • 120mm Air Cooler (DeepCool AG400/AG500 in use in March)
  • B650M WiFi motherboard (MSI B650M Gaming WiFi primarily in use in March)
  • 32GB 5200MHz DDR5 RAM (Team Delta mostly in use)
  • 1TB Gen4 NVMe m.2 SSD (ADATA Legend 800)
  • 750W 80+ Gold PSU (XPG and FSP in use in March)

My 3080 is starting to die slowly (GPU artifacting) might need to buy something from you, superb deal

    • +7

Weird my bro's 3070 started dying recently too. You'd think spending in the realm of a thousand+ dollars these sorts of issues just wouldn't happen. Not that quickly anyway, they're only one generation old. My GTX 1080 is still going strong.

      • +3

I mean this was a top of the line Asus Strix White OC card. Warranty just expired a few weeks ago :(

        • +4

Go fair trading like you said you paid top dollar they have to fix it!.

        • +1

Your rights under Australian Consumer Law supersede factory warranty. One would expect a GPU to last longer than a few years and that's what ACL is based on, your reasonable expectations. Fight it. Let them know you know your ACL rights and go from there.

      • +2

Always worth checking and redoing the thermal paste on GPUs if they seem to start dying. The heat over the years dries it out. It's not too hard to do usually and is a very cheap fix if that's all the problem is.

      • ME TOO !!! My laptop 3070 is even doing better than my desktop 3070.

    • +2

How are some 3070 and 3080 cards almost dead? I have a 1080 OC i overlocked further (didnt get much more except heat) ive run at 1440 res GPU limited for best part of probably 7 years and its still going…

      • +1

        Could be ex-mining.

        • +1

I bought my GPU brand new in Jan 2021 and have never used it for mining

    • I feel like this is a common problem of the higher performing variants. I’ve experienced the same.

  • +2

    Amazing deals keep them coming

  • In what way is this month's Core i9-14900KF | RTX 4080 Super Gaming PC different from February's?

    • This is a 14700F

    • The i9 build is better than this i7 build
Better processor, Mobo and better cooler

  • I'm an absolute PC novice, but what are the differences between the Core i7 and Ryzen 7 deals? For only $100 or so difference, what are people's preferences..

    • +5

The 7800X3D is still the faster processor for gaming, and it is especially good at raising 0.1% lows and avoiding stuttering by being extremely responsive with that additional cache.

14700k will be better for video processing tasks, etc.

      • But at the end of the day for most ppl the main relevant aspect of them will be the socket type and how long the support gonna be. But still it is pretty close call anyway. Unless like you said gaming is primarily focus

  • +1

That air cooler won't cool the 14700.
The 7800x3d is the pick of the 2 this time

    • The 14700F is a 65W chip that can boost up to 219W - the air cooler is rated at up to 220W so it's within spec.

      • +4

I have a better cooler than that and it struggles to tame the 13600kf
I have my suspicions that it will cool the turbo boosted 14700f

        • Depends, are you running within the Intel spec of 253W or is it allowed to hit 4096W in the BIOS?

          • @KARMAAA: Unmodified it was not cooling the CPU down well, would occasionally thermal throttle. I ended up undervolting to making CPU under 85degrees.
This was with the peerless assassin ii which is designed to handle 265 tdp
Once I dropped the voltage a little it worked perfectly.
So you can understand my reservation on the ag400 cooling the 14700. Maybe allocate ag400 to 7800x3d and ag500 to 14700f as a minimum.

            • @maverickjohn: Yeah I just want to know the wattage you're configured for in the BIOS. I don't care about you undervolting, unless you're at 253W in the BIOS. Is it running at 4096W or 253W?

              • @KARMAAA: I'll check the bios next time I go on. But it's still stock, as I haven't manipulated that setting.

                • @maverickjohn: Yeah well my Z790 Mobo stock defaults to 4096W. So stock can be over Intel's spec.

                  • @KARMAAA: So just checked bios.
Long duration power limit set as 125, short duration power limit is at 253
                    Current limit 307

                    • @maverickjohn: What board are you using?

                      • @KARMAAA: ASRock z790m-itx

                        • @maverickjohn: Interesting. BTW I want to correct something, I thought the Intel spec for all K series 13th Gen CPUs was 253W.

Turns out that's only for i7 and above. 13600K's max spec is 181W. So yeah that board is defaulting to above Intel spec, but not quite as bad as my Z790 Edge is where it defaults to 4 kW.

Man, I was really hoping the 5-10 dispatch time was more.. 5 days, and less 10.

Ordered on Feb 23 and haven't received any update past the sales receipt. Was ordering for a mate's birthday but no way it'll make it now. :(

  • Is it possible to upgrade the air cooler to peerless assasin or phantom spirit 120 SE ARGB? Cheers!

    • Post purchase you coud do it, but we don't offer it sorry.

  • Hey @techfast

I have put my order in, but I didn't realise it came with Linux, looking to swap over to Windows if I can please. Sent an email, but no response. Ticket number: #TF4882528274.

Could you please look into this for me?

    Thanks
    Tim

    • Thanks Tim, the team will get to that request ASAP for you, won't be a problem.

      • Legend, thanks mate!

        • Hey @techfast. Understand you guys are likely getting pumped. Can you please update me with #TF4882528274. Any indication of dispatch timing would be greatly appreciated.

          Cheers Legends!
          Tim

  • Hey @techfast

Your site doesn't give the option of one of the white cases that you have in your other builds. Would it be possible to switch to one of the white ones?
And wondering what white cases you have available?

    Thanks!

    • We have the MSI MAG Pano fishtank style case in white on hand. As we flip between MATX and ATX boards it can be hard with cases like these that only support MATX boards, so I tend to just offer the larger cases where it doesn't matter. If you did want the Pano upgrade it can be arranged, just email [email protected] post purchase and we can invoice for the upgrade.

      • oh right, so the only white case you have is a small one?

        • It's actually physically quite large/spacious, it just has a PSU shroud at the bottom front which limits the motherboard size. Bit of a dumb design tbh

  • Their website is inaccessible this morning. I send an email and it showed undeliverable. Hopefully everything is alright.

    • Their domain is expired. Happens if you haven't set up auto renewal. Their admin just needs to pay and renew it, and they'll be back up. I tried calling the number on their profile, but it went to some cruise company.

      • Hopefully that’s it. Finger crossed.

    • Resolved, thanks.

      • Thanks.

  • Beware ordering guys, Ive just received my 3k comp and it lights up like a pretty xmas tree but theres no ouput to monitor(tried 2monitors both dp and hdmi , plugging into mobo and gfx card NOTHING) …biggest concern since theres no customer support number to phone either ..im left sending countless emails, hoping for a response.

    • Can you please provide some specific that will enable me to escalate - email address, order number etc?

  • absolutely. order TF4880760320 top of page

    Reordered with TF4880020121 bottom
    was a change in order
    ill pm further private details

    • Received and actioned thanks.

  • thanks

  • Hey @techfast just wondering what liquid CPU coolers are used in the 7800X3D builds?

  • Thanks Luke@techfast
not long after messaging you here, i got an email back (with some fault finding) turned out the gfx card was loose or the wiring… , anyway after some readjustment happy to report all is working . Thank you

    • Good to hear

  • -1

great deal, I'm tempted to pull the trigger on a 4080 and 7800x3d build soon. just a heads up - your website still states 16GB of RAM in the title

    • Are you sure you're not looking at the 16GB referring to the VRAM on the GPU? The product description and Options set both show 32GB for RAM.

  • Can I only pay by credit card? I want to pay by PayPal

    • Payment method fees make it unviable on ozbargain deals unfortunately

  • ordered one! thx.

  • Hey Luke I just received my 4080 Super 7800 X3D computer today after a long 5 week wait just to find out that it won't boot correctly and continually tells me Windows won't load correctly. It will make it a little way then reboot. Just constantly reboots itself and is slow to load up. I have a sent an email and a message to your ozbargain's inbox. Need to get this fixed ASAP.
    @luketechfast

  • hey @techfast good price but are dispatch times reliable? seen anywhere between a week to 2 months to receive orders. is there any way to know how long these builds will take to ship asides from the website estimate?

  • just want to say I had a good experience so far with my PC, thanks

  • Yo @BPC Technology any thoughts on doing this in Melbs?

  • -1

@luketechfast. Hello Luke after careful consideration. we decided that tech fast isn't our best option at the moment and would like to ask for a full refund on the system we ordered. Based on our knowledge on ALC this refund request since it is only 2 business days past our purchase voids the 25% re stocking fee. written under your terms and conditions. we have heard great things about your costumer service here on oz bargains and that why we are sending you this directly how ever. we haven't heard great things about the wait times and it seems that the wait times on the website are different extremely to real costumer experience. I would like to add that if your back log is cleared and you think the order will be built and shipped based on the wait times specified on the website there is no need to cancel and we would love to have the order delivered as long as the estimates where honest and reflective of the current situation.
    All the best regards.
please find the order number at.TF4883520699

Hey Arya, thanks for the message - I am confident that your order will be shipping in the 5-10 business days we're quoting with these deals. If you would like to discuss further, please PM me.

      • thanks mate then I'm happy to wait. also thank you for the fast reply. excited to test it out so I can recommend to my other friends. none of them believe me these prices are possible.

  • Any chance of other cases not a fan of these but specs are nice?

  • Code no longer works?

    • Same for me..

    • Date had expired, reactivated.

      • Are the component brands being used the same as March, or have they changed for April?

        • Nah would be the same

      • Thank you! Purchased one

      • Hey! The code doesn't seem to be working again

        • Just extended the i7 deal code again. R7 code works.

  • WIsh these had the cases of the new i9-14900KFand faster ram timings!
