Rapoo version of MX Masters mouse is at a good price too https://amzn.asia/d/1ccV9Pq

    $39.98
Usual price according to camelcamelcamel is 49.95. and my quick search in AliExpress it's $60…imagine that! Cheaper in Aus than AliExpress.

    • Bugger, they don't do a copy of the MX Anywhere.

If you have one, do they have the auto freewheeling scroll wheels of the the current MX series?

I bought one it didnt sit flat on the table, the feet were uneven. Also the tracking is a little janky compared to logitechs. Returned

    • Amazon refunds for the win. Free mouse.

      • Free mouse? They make you return the product.

        • Oh that must be new. I've never had to return products before… then again Prime always takes 1 week minimum, so perhaps the shipping is too much for a return label?

        • Not necessarily. It happened to me before. However, generally, yes.

  • Thanks. Ordered one. The 2.4 wireless functionality of an older Rapoo broke.

  • Ordered one, thanks

  • Just curious about why Rapoo copied Logitech’s designs without any legal consequences?

    • not sure. but i have the exact same mouse… but it's the logitech version. it's identical (looking)… even down to the colour.

      • IKR?! I have the Logitech ones too.

International design laws dictates I believe as long as there's 15% difference in design deems it a different original design of its own.

The mice looks sufficiently different to me, I get that the general shape and curves are similar looking but there's heaps of details, including under carriage, colour and texture details that can make it different.

Copyright also considers that the design of a mouse generally looks the same as the form is needed to 'fit the hand', so that aspect is not claimable as original design. Otherwise you can say iPhone holds the only copyright to smart phone 'slab' shape for example.

Hey thanks for taking the time to explain. It makes a bit more sense to me. Some cars could look similar. That’s in this category I guess.

  • Any one know a mouse and kbd that has multiple 2.4 receivers??

    • You can get Logitecs that do that.

Logitech with the Unifying Reciever dongles.

Life’s too short for low quality mice

      Schoolkids.

They're not getting hundred dollar Logitechs to drop in the hallways at school.

Kids bring mice to school? Is a trackpad insufficient for everyday school work?

        • +1

I've trained my kid to appreciate decent keyboards and mice.

I did ask and about half the kids will use a separate mouse with their laptops.

  • I use this plugged into Bluetooth and it stops responding all the time

    • Bluetooth sometimes just sucks.

My Logitech refuses to play nice with my laptop.

      • Is it a surface?

        • ThinkPad.

          • @rumblytangara: Ah ok, because I thought the issues were just limited to Surface. Do you know if you have a Marvell AVASTAR network card by any chance?

            • @StingyMan: Absolutely no idea what the Bluetooth hardware is.

I avoid Bluetooth whenever possible, it's not even enabled on any of my computers. I either use cables or RF dongles.

          • @rumblytangara: For me, yes. Why ?

  • What's the tracking like for this mouse, any good or do you need a mouse mat?

    • +1

I thought that needing a mouse mat stopped being a thing ten or more years ago. Unless you've got glass desk.

      These don't need mats.
