[QLD] Tomahawk Steaks $19.99/kg @ Tribe of Judah Discount Groceries

130

Bought the tomahawk steak from here a few times and you have to get in quick. They have very limited stock. They're not the massive tomahawks, but it's a good size and definitely a good deal. Very good tasting too!

Location: 101 park road, Slacks Creek, QLD

"How can we get these stupid punters to pay for these bones?”

Leave them on and call it something the idiot influencers will say is cool. Job done.

Or compare the price of bone in rib eye, and this, and then see if you're paying for the(extra) bone

    Kosher?

    • No chance

What's with the name "Tribe of Judah"? I thought it was one of the 12 Tribes of Israel yet they sell pork loin.

Do you have to flash your membership to enter? #NipTheTip

  • Can you send some to NSW?

    • +3

Just go Harris Farm - Scotch Fillet $20/kg which is very decent price.

        • Cut the bone off and you’ve got a bone-in rib eye, same meat minus bone = cheaper.

Plus more of a chance of fitting in/on your BBQ of choice

@athk: or buy some oranges, $5/kg since we are not comparing same things 🤷‍♂️

@GregFiona: The tomahawk is a ribeye beef steak….

              • -1

@athk: apples are fruits too, and more chance of them fitting in your fruit bowl, but are not oranges…
                Anyway, Happy Easter!

@GregFiona: I know you’re trolling, you’re very bad at it though.

but different, because at least five inches of rib bone is left intact.

Don't see many people eating bone, so they can save themselves some cash and just buy the same chunk of meat they would be eating.

                      🤡

                      • @athk: Not trolling at all Daniel, you seem to fail to understand that you are not comparing the same things.
Not surprised though since you are signing your comments with 🤡.
At least you make us laugh, you are good at it 👍

  • Is that a lamb cutlet?

    • +2

      Nah, it's a steak lollipop

  • Whats the easiest way to cut half the bone off?

I went to this store a few months ago, and most of the stuff I purchased was outdated and ended up in the bin. Some of the dates were six months to a year after the expiry. I never ever thought stores could sell expired stuff. That is the only one time i have been to this place and never again.
