seems like a decent deal,
personally like coloured ones as I can colour code my cables, so when I'm reaching from behind I can more easily see what cable/s I'm grabbing.
also has the eyelet hole for looping which the rolls of velcro dont have.

what more can I say! keep your cables organised.

    $3 at AliExpress

    • -3

I personally am happy to pay a small price premium on next day delivery. (presuming prime) when im in a spring cleaning/ clearing my desk mood.

      • +7

So you were wanting for this deal appear for weeks to get $2 with the premium next day delivery? 😆

      • +3

For sure, id you're in a pinch. Just pointing out that Amazon is stuffed full with stuff that's 3x the price of AliExpress. Cheap stuff.

        • +5

Will have to update you in two weeks as to whether or not I receive it*, but I found something on Amazon that was 30% cheaper than on Aliexpress. Probably want the reviews…

*Of course, Amazon would refund me the money for this… Aliexpress meanwhile doesn't give a flying (profanity) if something is "not fit for purpose", will deny your refund claim AND your appeal for having "insufficient proof" (despite copious photos), their online chat is hopeless… yeah, the amount of money I "save" on Aliexpress has definitely been offset a bit by AE's horrible customer service.

      • I don't buy stuff from AliExpress. Never have, probably never will.

        • -2

          ok boomer

          • @altomic: Not even close to being a boomer. Heard too many bad stories and would rather spend a little more to have peace of mind.

            • +1

@ozbs25: peace of mind over $3? LOL

I've placed over 1500 orders via aliexpress.

I've had worse shopping experiences with eBay.

              • @altomic: I don't want to have to deal with any of that rubbish.

                • @ozbs25: Ok.

Say hi to Gerry Harvey when you're instore.

                  • @altomic: Don't shop there either. I have principles. Another reason I don't shop at AliExpress.

                    • @ozbs25: Did you not realize that millions of listings on Amazon and eBay are just local or international stock of the same items that are on AliExpress?
It's your principle to include another middle man?

                      • @reactor-au: I've just heard too many stories of people not getting the right item or whatever and not getting any response from customer service. Some of these listings are just outright scams.

The reason they exist and keep selling stuff is people like you and altomic are enabling them.

                        • @ozbs25: But I've never had any issues and I've done probably 100 orders from a few dollars to 600 dollars.
Worst problem I've had is items being lower quality than expected.

Stick to items with many reviews and 14 day shipping.

                          • @reactor-au: I'm not saying I'd avoid AliExpress forever. If it's from an official Chifi dealer with the backing of some of the Chifi experts here I'd possibly buy some audio gear.

I'm just not going to buy random cheap stuff from AliExpress.

    • The shipping price tho :(

  • I use old dead phone cables to tie my cables..

  • Thanks. Was running sort

Reply sent from my Chinese made PC/Laptop/Tablet/phone.

You forgot to add this part… I am sure you live in a house surrounded by nothing but Australian made everything and not a single piece of Chinese made anything…

      Why support communism?

      • +5

lol. Like the Amazon product isn't made in China. .

        • +1

In fact, the majority of all Amazon Warehouses worldwide is stocked with Chinese products.

      • Amazon warehouses aren't far off from being communist camps

      • Because we are sick of Capitalist exploitation & brainwashing ;)

    • -6

That's extremely useful for those who want to use Aliexpress to save $1.15 or so and can wait two weeks longer.

It's also a bad example of negging a deal.

      • doesn't understand the DPG

        Get a pizza this guy.

        • -2

          I seriously don't get it.

This post seems to be a festival of trigger-happy downvoters.

    • -2

Hmmm, local vs OS, Delivery likely wed, OS likely mid May.
      Really?

      • +2

I get stuff delivered out of AliExpress faster than I can get shit out of Melbourne.

And these are velcro ties… Just how fast do you want them?? They holding the lines up for your heart bypass machine?

        • I'd like to see that🤣!!
BTW I don't need any thanks for asking and they are hook and loop ties to be specific…

          Any other smartar$# comments?

    • lol save $1 and get receive it in like 3 months

    • +1

I've seen the 50 pack in black in the Choice 3 for US$4.50 many times. Basically A$3 shipped when purchasing with 2 other items at A$3 each.

I feel this would be better value, unless you're loving the colours… 9.99 is for 200mm length, 8.99 is for 150mm length (same as OP link).

    • +1

Black is longer and more versatile

      • this is a family website mate.

    • I personally liked coloured ones more. but not a bad deal.

  • -3

The title is misleading, Velcro is a registered trade mark, these are not Velcro brand product.

    • -4

Nah, not misleading. You can look up "velcro" in any standard dictionary to see its generalised meaning is clearly understood and has been understood by English speakers for decades.

Such words are called eponyms and you probably use more of them than you realise.

      • -2

Velcro is a registered trade mark, these are not Velcro brand product.

        • +5

Ah yes, you must be from one of those nobles that say

Darling, could you hand me a pair of hook-and-loop fasteners?

          • +1

@pizzaguy: Lol I wanna hear him squirm when we use the word Photoshop freely

            • @montorola: Can you even do that? It's a trademark, after all, and may mislead that person.

            • @montorola: I didn't know it was a trademarked name, although it was like Kleenex when referring to a tissue,

        • +2

Agree. Quality matters, the genuine product is far more resilient. These cheap "wrap-back-onto-itself" ties are simply 2 cheap layers glued back to back, and come apart easily. Often the hook and loop system is also quite poor, being lighter and with low density per inch, so it only just holds. I've never seen a genuine Velcro delaminate, and I've put them through some seriously heavy abuse.

        • AKSHULLY 🤓☝️

        • +1

What a peculiar hill to die on…

      • +2

Try listing something on eBay with "Velcro" in title and see how quickly the listing gets taken down. Speaking from experience.

  • Out of Stock…. Found these.. which work out cheaper and they are 8 inch vs 6 inch in length

    https://www.amazon.com.au/Swift-Direct-Management-Electrical…

  • +2

As others have said, cheaper elsewhere…

    • -3

      Yeah from CHYNA
