At least the 50% off shipping promo is still available and ongoing again this month! People thought it disappeared but I guess it’s just another case of eBay incompetencies. Confirmed with my account/s and OzBargain Member’s reports (thank you)

Requires an eBay Plus account! You get 3x 50% off promos every month; the promotion will renew at the start of each month and any unused slots will be forfeited.

Had to send something last night and this offer didn't appear on my account. Checked this morning and it was there, so cancelled the original label and bought a new one with a $15 saving. Thanks!

    • Good idea!

    • Mine’s booked for pickup this morning so can’t cancel mine, sadly. Is this something I might be able to query with ebay?

      • +2

Probably not, it wasn’t an error on their behalf. Simply the promotion hadn’t started yet

        • Ah. Thought it had. Bugger.

  • +2

Use Auspost with signature if your item is over $750. Sendle changed their conditions and no longer offer signature on delivery.

    • +2

Correct. And they didn't make an annoucement on that either. :(

(At one point, even if you click on Required Signature, it will show ATL on the label)

      • Sneaky bastards

I stopped using Sendle quite a while ago for all but the largest items. They just aren’t as reliable or economical as they used to be.

    • how is the seller/customer experience with sendle for smaller items?

      • It's fine. I think they have label-less now. Just pay for it and book a time for a driver to pick it up

  • +3

Why didn't ebay start this from 1st.
Already posted two items days ago.

    • Surely you'll be posting more within the month.

  • +4

I sold a low value item the other day and the offer stopped working when it came time to ship it out, so shipping ended up costing more than the item sold for.
And now the offer is back a day after I ship the item out.

    • Same. I priced an item cheap to beat the competition in anticipation of ½ price shipping. FFS eBay.

    • Same thing with me… I ended up making -10 cents on a sale. It went to a good home so I'm not too fussed though.

  • The way this heading is worded could be interpreted as you receive 50% off 3 labels monthly, as in each month you receive 3 discounted labels but I thought it was just 3 in total

That was alvian's (mod) edit on my previous post. I've just changed it again. See here

Thanks OP. You're the only ISP I trust!

  • I've not had this discount for months not sure why it never works for me anymore.

    • +1

Same for me. I just had a chat with them asking why and this is the response, verbatim:

"…eBay launches various promotios for various users every time. Moreover, here every seller needs to get the promotion, the eBay systme chooses the members at random and offers them the promotion. There is no where mentioned on the terms and conditions that being an eBay plus member, every eBay plus member will get the promotion. It is a criteria that eBay Plus members only may get the promotion on random basis, Hence, since you have received the promotion in the past, this might be the reason you have not received it now."

  • Thanks for sharing, mate

  • … does not include Australia Post …

    • +1

Can confirm it does include Australia Post Parcel Post.

My observation is that while Australia Post is slow Sendle is beyond slow - they took 19 days to deliver a small parcel from metropolitan Melbourne to metropolitan Perth. A poor choice of which Auspost is the least worst!

Got on one account and not the other. Argued with CS for a while only to receive the comment:

This promotion is only for targetted eBay plus members and not available for all the eBay plus members.

  • Sendle used to be okish alternative to Auspost. Now it's rubbish. Last time I sent something from Syd to Mel, it sat at drop off location for over a week, I had to take it back and sent via Auspost.

  • Feel like it was only discounted Sendle the last time I needed a label, so thanks for the reminder.

  • Last month I thought I saw something about using the multiple label option to get more than 3 50% off in total. Did I read that correctly and if so, how is it done please?

  • I tried the postage thingy 2 days ago and I got a free shipping worth $10+ with Auspost, probably it's first time offer or something. I do not see any other Auspost offer though, I only see 50% Sandle.

  • Don't see this mentioned under the "Promotional offers" part of the sellers page. Isn't that where it's supposed to be listed?

  • Anyone know if there are any selling promos, can't recall seeing any for April?
