  • Guarantee when you go into the store, they'll be out of stock or have "sold" signs on them.

    • and when you ask if they're getting more in stock, they'll say never, but here's another model that costs twice as much and it's in stock and for sale.

you obviously have never worked in retail.

        • i've worked in retail, and this is why i will never work retail again.

  • Great buy, I want one…

  • Nice price, but I'm not a fan of sit-ons…they're just too inefficient & thus, slow!

yeah, i like mine with a motor attached. and preferably a nice comfy chair. and maybe a steering wheel, sound system, champagne, and models in bikinis.

      • Unless you have a specific need for a SOT, like fishing, surf or you have cockpit phobia (yes, it's not uncommon); or your balance is really shit, you'd not be happy with one long-term.

Let me put it in terms you may understand…say, DSLRs. Do you buy the absolute cheapest camera that you can get, that will just do the job; or one that you know you're gonna be happy with for a much longer period of time…now, do you need 10 seconds of think music???

        • I'd take a sit-on over a sit-in any day.

Although I've always wanted an endorfinn

Which is a perfectly sleek sit-in design.

        • Holy shit, 5.2m…you'd nearly have to moor that sucker! :p

You do realise that's a racing ski, not a kayak per se, right?

          I'd take a sit-on over a sit-in any day.

          Serious question, why?

    • Some people get out on the water to have fun and relax thus not racing and not concerned about speed. The stability of a sit on top compared to a sea kayak make it ideal for beginners who will value that much more than speed. I personally would prefer a sea kayak but would not recommend it to most beginners. This is a great buy for them.

      • If you're gonna chime in, you should be aware that there's more sit-in designs than just sea kayaks.

Speed & efficiency of hull design are not just for racing, you will have more fun even as a beginner with the better control of a 'sink' or if your paddling is not being undermined by unnecessary drag.

    • Hi, can you give me any recommendations? I've never been kayaking, just canoeing ages ago. Thinking about the Emotion Exhilirator… Sounds to be a good all rounder. Would it let me sit still as I want to just relax in the open water sometimes, but also paddle for several KM's occasionally near our beach house in non-surf conditions.

$400, plus a paddle and seat for $100 more is making me tempted. Can't seem to find anything comparable.

  • (moved comment upward)

  • Is that a good price for the gazebo? or can someone recommend something better?

    • I thought so…

  • Got one today, blue colour Exhilarator, $399. Also saw the Lime and Red colours. Will try it out in a few weeks, still need to buy the padded seating, paddle and PFD.

Judging by the gawkers and sold stickers, you'll be lucky to get one tomorrow, especially by Tuesday (end of the sale).

  • The kayak is now on sale for $824.25, but sold out.
