Missing super designation in title, also what is the CL timing on the ram? 7800x3d performs measurably better with good timings.

    • +2

Thanks, char count victim but very important!

  • +1

Any further info on the 400w PSU bundled with the build/ITX case? What’s the form factor, how many connectors, maximum power on the rails, model number, etc?

    • +1

It is a Flex unit with fixed cables. 1 x CPU power, 1 x PCIe 8-pin (GPU), 4 x SATA, 2 x Molex, 1 x 24 PIN. I'll see if I can find any information on rails from the manufacturer

      • +3

It'd be super helpful if there were photos of the case interior as well.

        • +1

          Found these:
          Source 1
          Source 2

          • @jp1011: What?! That's wildly better build quality than I was expecting at that price. Techfast should show these off proudly!

            • +1

@xrailgun: Yup! Also much needed for anyone who would want to plan a build in it (me lol)

              • +1

@jp1011: My next build will be an ITX for my wife (I finally convinced her to get a gaming pc, on the condition it was tiny). Cant wait to build in the lian li a4 h2o, but holy crap its expensive. 750w sfx psu + that case will be over $500. If I wasnt building a gaming PC, something like this case / psu combo looks like itd be perfect at a fraction of the cost.

                • @DanielP2: Good luck with the build!
Also, pcpartpicker suggests you could get the case + 650W PSU for ~$400 which might be a better option for u?

          • @jp1011: Yep that's it.

  • Itx build always comes out at the wrong time for me financially.

  • remember when HUB scrounged together a 7600 + 7700 XT build for the same budget 3 days ago as a "high value build"…

  • +2

Does the ITX case come with a riser cable?

    • +1

      It does, Gen 3 yep

  • +3

Regarding the itx case, does it come with riser cable (gen4/3?), also what are the cpu cooler and gpu clearance?

    • @luketechfast any update on the clearances?

  • Hi @luketechfast

I ordered the previous deal on Saturday, order TF4892665528.

Is there any chance of getting these additions changed on my existing order? Cheers.

  • +7

Differences between this and the old deal for the same price:

CPU COOLER: DeepCool Ag400 Air Cooler > 120mm All-In-One Liquid (upgrade was $80)
    POWER SUPPLY: 750W 80 Plus Bronze > 750W 80 Plus Gold (upgrade was $29)

    • +8

They couldn't have just gone with a good air cooler? A 120mm AIO is pointless when better air coolers exist for cheaper.

      • +2

Agree. I'd swap the $80 for the MSI MB + MSI Case or even the 32GB RAM. Maybe I'll reach out to them with that proposal :)

        • 100%

        • Let me how it goes, Im interests in swapping this too, thanks

        • Please Let us know if you reach out I'm definitely interested in the same config
          Cheers

        • is this possible? @luketechfast

        • How’d it go? Were you able to swap?

          • +1

@illusion44: Id probably go with no. Rep has replied to other questions here since and not this one. Assume the profit margins are low enough that a downward swap on the cooler (with a price reduction anyway) makes it not worthwhile.

            • @kulprit: No worries, thanks. I also reached out to support via but haven't had a response either.

              • @illusion44: Oh I totally don't know for sure, I didn't contact them to ask as I'm not really sure if go ahead with no knowing exact brands etc.

                • -1

@kulprit: This is the exact reason why I won't pull the trigger with these guys.

You would think a company without a support line or live chat would put the effort in and at least reply to potential customers there's no way I'm emailing their sales and waiting days just to try and start a dialogue that a simple phone call would sort.

I would happily pay a competitor $100 more than this offer just so I can call them if there's issues not spending 2000+ dollars to wait for email responses if there's issues

Furthermore these guys constantly post these deals and can't even build one of the rigs in the advertised cases to show it.

After years of looking at these posts I get the impression this company is nothing more than a tiny handful of people buying parts in bulk.

                  • +2

@Sammy Boi: These guys seems to operate on a lean model, keeping overheads low to offer competitive pricing. While it would be convenient to have a support phone line, it appears they prioritise offering the best possible deal by cutting down on unnecessary expenses. Skimming through the comments on these deals I think their customer support is actually pretty good, resolving issues in a timely manner despite the absence of a phone line.

So yeh these deals may not suit everyone, for those comfortable with a more DIY approach and willing to trade off immediate phone support for a better deal myself included, it could be worth considering.

Just my two cents based on what I've seen around.

                • +2

@kulprit: FYI, support just confirmed via email there's no availability for the Deepcool AG400 220W 120mm air cooler at this stage so they wouldn't be able to swap.

      • Yeah I agree that a 120mm AIO is not ideal. At least from the last deal you could "downgrade" to an air cooler for free or upgrade to a 240mm or 360mm AIO (depending on case restrictions) for a reasonable price.

  • Does anyone know if the ITX case fits a 3.5" sata HDD? Looking for an ITX case to build a nas plex server.

    • +2

      It doesn't

  • Hi, looking to buy the 4060 pc. Noticed that there is a AMD version at $30 cheaper. Does this now come with 120mm All-In-One Liquid and 750W 80 Plus Gold upgrades as well.

    • +1

No, that's stock cooler for $718

  • The code doesn't seem to be working on the website Luke..

    • Fixed thanks

  • This must be my first rodeo, but the code doesn't seem to work? The price doesn't change when I put it in and hit "Update". Tried on Chrome and Edge.

EDIT - never mind, the codes are incorrect at the top of the deal, requires a "2" at the end.

    • did you use the right code, there are 2

      • Yes, the code at the top of the deal (in the box with the Courier font) is 7800X3D-4070TIS-EOFY

But this is wrong, the actual code is 7800X3D-4070TIS-EOFY2

    • +1

      Fixed, thank you

Note that with the ITX one…

the MAXSUN Challenger motherboard H610ITX 2.5G has 2.5GB ethernet, 8+1+1 VRM, 2 HDMI ports and comes with the wifi pigtail and antenna
the ASUS PRIME H610I-PLUS D4 has 1GB ethernet, 5+1+1 VRM, a VGA instead of 2nd HDMI and no wifi pigtail or antenna

while I was told the 1TB upgrade last time would be the Adata Legend 800, it ended up being a Kingston NV2… (YMMV)

It also gets quite toasty when gaming so you might want to consider some 90(92)mm fans in the top, but they need to be 15mm slim ones like this -> https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004704852727.html

    • Thanks so much for the info. May I ask where do you get the info on MAXSUN Challenger motherboard will come with wifi pigtail and antenna? I believe this will be a decision factor for my purchase..

      • This page says it comes with a m2 wifi card
        https://eclipsemy.com/my/Motherboard/Maxsun-Challenger-H610M…

        • +1

All good. After some research on chinese reddit..It seems the bios on MAXSUN motherboard is very broken. Just pick the asus one for simpler bios usage….

          • @pq8382: How often you going into BIOS?

            • @TightAl: It seems it has issue with xmp on some memory stick. So unless you happy to manual overclock, I will avoid issue

          • @pq8382: You don’t get to pick (which was my point)

      • I ordered the previous 12100f deal for my parents and there came with the maxsun, ordered the last 12400f and was surprised to get the asus as it hadn’t been mentioned before

        • I mean Maxsun is defiently better for hardcore user as the spec is much better. Asus is better for normal user who doesn't want to play too much hardcore adjustment.

  • Goddamn this is so tempting as an impulse buy as console replica via Steambox

  • If there are any issues requiring warranty/repair where is Techfast located?

    • Adelaide, transit both ways is covered in event of warrantable fault

  • $2166 with the motherboard, case and ram upgrades is pretty good. Would ideally drop back to air cooling CPU to save some cash (and I don't want liquid anyway).

  • Hi luke,
Is it possible asking for a single 16g on my itx order rather than 2x8 option?

    • No, we buy and must provide them as 2 DIMM kits for warranty purposes.

      • Got it

      • Also, does the Maxsun motherboard come with the wifi pigtail and antenna? I have watch some unboxing video on this motherboard and it seems it included as part of the package.

        • No, just the slot for it on this board.

          • @luketechfast: ok thank you

          • @luketechfast: That confirmed? The previous 12100f deal I ordered pigtails and antennas were on the box you guys sent…

            • +1

@kudoz: You're right - I misread the info. The accessories are included but the card isn't.

    • Well worth the upgrade to 32gb RAM.

  • +1

Can we have an opinion for 12400F ITX with AMD GPU?

  • +1

The real deal here is the case.. most ITX cases of that volume (<10L) are rarely that cheap to begin with, then you've got the fact that its anodized aluminium (again - usually reserved for niche high end cases). You get an included riser cable (gen 3, usually around $35). And THEN you've got an included 400w PSU (around $70). For anyone wanting to build a backpack PC - jump on this.

For reference - my ITX case (by itself - no PSU) was over $400AUD… the mini-ITX hobby is not good for the wallet

    • I couldnt where it mentioned a riser is included?

Even if it just is the case and psu it is a great price though.

    • Except that 400w is useless for most mid range PC's.

  • +1

Does the TechFast Leaper ITX Case + 400W PSU have any inputs? USB ports, headphone jacks?

    • +1

No, everything is handled by the rear motherboard IO. It has a power button only.

  • Is there room for an SSD in the ITX build? Thanks

  • -8

This is what I call shrinkflation. 400w integrated psu…Seriously??? Even NVidia recommend a 550w for the RTX 4060. Is that a Seasonic psu? Can't recommend cutting corners like that.

    • People run 4060s off of 250W PSUs. 400W will be fine

    • +1

No feasible system that fits in that case is ever gonna get close to pulling 400W. Thermal limits of the case probably wouldn't let it get much past 250W.
Its like complaining that a xbox doesn't come with a 1000W psu.

Fair game to question the quality of the psu since the listing has absolutely no info whatsoever, but the capacity just isn't a valid criticism

      • +1

Mini itx systems are quite capable of exceeding 400w depending on cpu and gpu. Has nothing to do with thermal limits. The manufacturer even recommends 500w https://www.zotac.com/us/product/graphics_card/zotac-gaming-…

Even Centrecom has installed a 500w 80 plus gold certified psu into their 4060 build https://www.centrecom.com.au/msi-creator-p100a-13-i7-16gb-ra…

BPC have put in a 750w gold psu into their tiny nuc 4060 system https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/845081

But since you raised the point agree the PC will be a hot house with only passive case cooling.

        • At the end of the day the most powerful GPU u can fit in this case is a 4060ti which pulls about 180W OC (ignoring the fact that you'd likely be thermal throttling well before that on a single fan card) and estimating a CPU cooler height limit (based on interior photos) of ~55mm you're looking at like 300W of cooling capacity at absolute most.
I just don't see how a 400W psu can be considered unreasonable for this case - would you really rather pay >$1500 for the systems linked just to have 400W of headroom instead of 100W?

Not to mention you can't even buy either a flex psu or case this size ALONE from a local vendor for $88 …

          • @jp1011: Depends how handy a person is with PCs. I’d recommend people purchase this as a bunch of parts. The case and psu need to be replaced and that requires a full rebuild.

  • +1

Anoyone interested in the RTX 4070 Ti Super graphics card separately from the 1999 deal? i have need for the system but not the card.

    • Where are you based?

    • Yep, me! What are you planning @StorminNorman ?

  • Asus itx mobo OOS

    • bugger!

  • ANy option to provide on board wifi with the asus option?

  • Hey @luketechfast regarding the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D | RTX 4070 Ti Super Gaming PC deal and CPU cooling

You've included the '120mm liquid cooler (brand/model may vary', but the upgrade to a 240mm is the same as models with an air cooler at $120. Usually the difference between 120mm & 240mm liquid is $40, and the 360mm is $69.

    Can you fix that please?

    • Yep, bit of a random one that one. Fixed now.

  • Showing as out of stock for the 12400F-4060-ITX-EOFY deal……

    • That's the Asus motherboard, so now Maxsun is the only option. I will remove the Asus option.

  • Will you guys build PCs with cases that aren't crazy discos?

Specs and cost are good but it's a bit much in terms of looks

    • I asked Luke about this.

You'll get RGB lighting, there's no option without, but depending on the case selection you get a button that will turn it all off. Which is what I want, it's a must for me.

  • Are people shipping the GPU seperately? or together?

  • Would the Intel or amd CPU option be better for the $700 build option for gaming . I'm leaning towards the Intel?
Anyway replaced the 400w psu with their own one as well or can't remove the integrated psu?

  • Any chance of swapping out the 7800x3d for a 7900x ? On this build or the 4080s one?

  • +1

    400w psu enough?

  • would like the itx pc, but would want 2 ssd slots and wifi.
