      • Not for car audio…

  • Yes you are right. It has started but not on the 2 for $30 ones, etc

    • I've got it to work for the totals in the 2 for $20, $25, $30 groups but I don't think the price of the individual items in those groups have gone down.

  • How do you know that it has started? price is the same for me..

    • Car audio prices are still the same… ???

      • looking at headphones

  • Blus have started yay! I have a number of 2 for 30 in my cart that are now showing at $12 each :) also the Hitchcock set now $79.20 bargain :)

  • Just. Purchased NBA 2k13 for $59 better than those eBay imports!

  • I'm going to put this out there… They NEVER bump up the price of products prior/during sales. If the sale stars and products are in the catalogue at discounted prices. The sale % ALWAYS comes off the catalogue price. The only time this won't happen is if the catalogue ends and then the sale stars. Its all about timing (and luck).

  • Looks like I'll have to head instore, several boxsets I'm wanting have not been reduced online.

  • The head unit I'm after is reduced however when I click on it to get more info the price jumps back to original so adding to cart is only at the unreduced price

    • For some reason when you're transferred to the online store to make the purchase the price returns to normal. Any ideas?

      • Discount is working now, just bought a JVC KD_R90BT

  • Does this include WDTV live? Are media players consider as home entertainment or computers?

    • Probably not. Deemed to be peripherals. No harm in trying though.

      • Does this include WDTV live?

I saw them for $77 instore today.

  • Damn I just paid $780 for the Samsung 40 smart tv UA40ES6200M 2 weeks ago after I bargained them down from $950
    Now its $763 great deal

  • I have just come back from JB Hi Fi - I'm pretty sure that up until today the Bond 50 Blu-Ray box set was marked at $179 (or thereabouts), but today was marked at $224. Dodgy? Or am I wrong?

  • The regular Indiana Jones box set they have for around $78 and other stores have is missing from the online site. It was there this week. They only have the deluxe version and normal plus filmstrip.

Anyone know if they have the regular version at stores? it should be around $54. I would have bought it at target when it was %20 if i knew.

    • I think I've only seen the two you've described in-store.
Deluxe version and the one that comes with a filmstrip.
Pretty sure that filmstrip thing is a "JB Exclusive". They seem to do this with many new releases, where they will release their own limited exclusive thing. After those are all gone, they have the normal versions.

  • +2

Just comparing the site before and during the sale, they've definitely not pulled off any tricks as far as I can tell on the TV section at least.

  • stuff JB.

Target still has Indiana Jones blu ray boxset for only $55.00. You can even do it layby online

  • Not sure how much they plan to sell online during this sale - the search function is completely MIA.

  • Tried for an deal @ JBhifi for panasonic ST50A they only had 1 UT50A in stock couldn't sell it to me due it to being demo =(
Went next door to dicksmith they did an ex-demo 50ST50A for $1100 =)
Last one they had in Tasmania.
Now they only have the cheap ones XT and UT.

  • Thought this was a really good deal.
    Game Of Thrones - Season 1 (Blu-ray) (Collector's Edition) $39.98 + $1 to ship it.
Amazon has it for about $80 USD - before shipping.
MightyApe has it for $52 - before shipping

    • Just note that the 20% off doesn't include pre orders. GoT collectors edn isn't out yet so it hasn't been reduced by 20%. The price showing now should be the price when it is out on stores.

  • The websites more or less completely broken…can't search for anything so I can't locate the CD's and Blurays that interest me.

Pain in the backside, I'll have to go in tomorrow and see if they have them in stock.

    • Yep, neither the search function nor the 'add to cart' now (when i click on a banner and find something the long way) are working for me. As i know the blurays i'm after aren't in stock locally, unless it fixes itself tomorrow think i'll just have to go without. Sale's a bit of a ballsup.

  • Bought a great pair of semi-open, on-ear lightweight headphones for $70 (AKG K420)

Fun sounding set with clear highs, awesome vocals, great mids, good soundstage, comfortable and sturdy (foldable-portable). But it’s not for someone who doesn't want sound to leak out due to the open back design.

Link to some reviews if you feel mine isn't good enough: http://www.head-fi.org/products/akg-k-420-foldable-mini-head…

Think Koss PortaPros but even better sound, simpler and sleeker. :)

Tried pricematching the Yamaha YHT298 at DSE that JB had listed at $341.60 earlier today (had some discounted gift cards to use up and I'm not in too much of a rush for a new sound system, so thought I'd try my luck), sales person had to find the box, try to upsell me on the extended warranty (twice) and then refused instantly when I showed her the price. Ah well, worth a shot. Satisfied a through i but not that pesky j (below cost price)…
