DISKAD (Rebranded Bosch Series 6/8) Integrated Dishwasher $319 ($287 IKEA Family Price) + Delivery ($0 C&C) @ IKEA In-store Only

4150

Not sure if this is price error, but regular price wasn't $319 from vague memory. Google search shows as $1599.

Manufacturer number for this product is 23320, which is made by Bosch as per Ikea Belgium website.

Not sure about specific model, but Bosch only makes fully integrated dishwasher for series 6 and 8, which cost $1000 and up.

Deactivated user mentioned it's similar to Series 8 SMV88TX02A

tonester mentioned "IKEA integrated PROFFSIG and DISKAD are rebranded Series 6 and 8 respectively"

    • Also interested in the instructions to get a similar fit if possible. How did you attach the panel etc.

      • At the time of install, I'd actually misplaced the installation booklet - so was just using best guesses. E.g. holding up the panel to the dishwasher and using double sided tape to work out approximately where I need to attach the metal hooks. The plastic sliding mount for the top of the panel was just guessed (I did mess up, and had to readjust it). The metal hooks are basically friction mounted, so you don't need to get the alignment perfect when screwing in the hooks.

The panel only looks nice, is because the panel is from the same manufacturer, and I measured up my existing panels and got a new one custom made. Cabinet makers will do this for you, the panels cost me 200 in total, but also did get quotes for 400 also.

The parties over for this. It's back to RRP on the app, $1599. Well done to the other two that got the 1 of 3 that became available on the Sunday that just passed at Marsden Park. The staff were difficult to deal with initially.

    • Did you get one?

  • Canberra shows 4 and 2 at Logan

  • Aaand of course Canberra magically gets stock back the day the price goes back up to $1599. Assume there’s no chance they’ll match the price from yesterday…

    • Highly doubt it, doesn’t hurt to ask. This means the as is section price will jump as well

  • We've had ours for a few years. Fantastic machine.

  • If you are in Canberra and need a black front panel 80x60 or 80x62 cm - there are quite a few available near the checkouts, on clearance for just $1!

  • Just put mine in, have gaps on the side but the gap at the top is like 10cm, can i put a wooden board on top or is it ok to have that much of a gap on top.

I don't have a wooden benchtop so can't screw anything on it

You can probably get a drawer front like this and attach it with strong glue to the benchtop.

      • That looks to be 1.6mm thick so need atleast 6.5cm thickness to leave 3.5cm for circulation.

Thinking leaving as is for now and if need be can maybe put some wood under it to lift it up.

The bad thing is because it's a pull door, i need the sides to keep it in place so can easily open the door

  • Hi All! I need some help! I bought the diskad from the AS-IS section. Unfortunately it didn't come with the blue plastic template to drill those holes into the front panels. Does anyone have the measurements for it? Any ideas how I can make those screw holes without the template? Open to any ideas.

There are a few discounted dishwashers at Canberra store. DISKAD $699 and some other model (PROFFSIG maybe?) for $599 iirc

  • Anyone got instruction of how to install the front panel?

  • +3

If anyone is still looking for a panel in Brisbane we got a front panel and kickboard made by Kitchen Discount House in Rocklea for $200. Hasssum and Levitt in Burpengary were also happy to supply for a bit more. Most places weren't interested in such a small job.

  • Bit late to the party, but anyone in VIC interested in splitting a bulk order (min 3 items) for the VARSTA stainless steel door front. Not sure why this isn't stocked anymore!

  • Finally started using powder + separate rinse aid instead of tablets, how do you fill up the rinse aid dispenser? There's a max line at the top but it feels like pouring into a bottomless pit. Page 15 of the manual doesn't exactly show what it looks like when you've filled it to max?

    • +1

Rinse aid capacity is about 150-170 ml. When it's almost full, the liquid will pool in the round hole, you'll see it.

By the way, what powder are you using?
I'm on cheapest Aldi tablet in the dispenser + small amount of Coles powder in the tub for pre wash + Aldi rinse aid.
Aldi powder was leaving white residuals on plastic, and Coles powder leaves strong smell after wash if used as the main detergent.

      • Cheers for the image and the dispenser capacity amount. I wrongly assumed it would only need something like a thimble-full lol.
Only just got the aldi powder as well. Are you gonna try the other $10 brands or go back to tablets now?

      • I had that issue with Aldi powder when used with my previous dishwasher. It was trash. I got a refund and vowed never to use it again.
I haven't had any issues with the wash with Aldi tablet in the dispenser. Why do you feel the need to use powder in addition to the tablet?

        • +1

A bit of detergent in the pre-was cycle helps to significantly improve the results. Here's a video discussing this point: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_rBO8neWw04
Adding a bit of powder is easy and cheap.

          • @Crimzic: That maybe the case, but why bother when just the tablet still does perfectly fine job? I haven't had any issues with the dishwasher not washing properly with just the tablet.

            • @keejoonc: Why wipe your arse wth three ply toilet paper when a handful of leaves does a perfectly fine job?

+1 for the superior clean and hygiene of a three second sprinkle of powder for the pre-rinse…

              • @UncleRico: Your analogy doesn't work. Without adding powder my dishes come out perfectly clean. 3 ply is stronger and better than 2 ply or leaves for that matter. Try harder. Clean is clean. Superior clean LMAO. You should work in marketing.

                • @keejoonc: Having your plates in soapy water for longer helps to emulsify more fats during the cycle. Probably, the result will only be visible with very soily dishes though. If it works for you with one tablet, that's good, no point spending more on detergent 😀
