DISKAD (Rebranded Bosch Series 6/8) Integrated Dishwasher $319 ($287 IKEA Family Price) + Delivery ($0 C&C) @ IKEA In-store Only

4150

Not sure if this is price error, but regular price wasn't $319 from vague memory. Google search shows as $1599.

Manufacturer number for this product is 23320, which is made by Bosch as per Ikea Belgium website.

Not sure about specific model, but Bosch only makes fully integrated dishwasher for series 6 and 8, which cost $1000 and up.

Deactivated user mentioned it's similar to Series 8 SMV88TX02A

tonester mentioned "IKEA integrated PROFFSIG and DISKAD are rebranded Series 6 and 8 respectively"

      • Ouch, that’s harsh!

  • Hopefully there will be more stock to available soon…

I’m in Canberra, and my 5 year old LG dishwasher just died last week…

    • Canberra? You are not safe. Sydney buyers are making the 600km round trip to grab them.

1000 additional clicks every 24hrs on this Ozbargain page. All Ikea staff by now are fully aware of this deal and some are scalping it themselves. I called every store and they said, I am the 500th person to call today to try and reserve the 'Diskad dishwasher'. So chances of nabbing this…pretty low. How many hours of you life for the next 3 weeks will you guys try and attempt to beat the scalpers to hopefully grab one? On Facebook Deal group, people are saying some buyers from Sydney are driving 500-600km return trip to Canberra to pick theirs up, jesooze krist. Never seen pandemonium like this. Is it the 'rush' to get the deal vs actually needing a dishwasher?

The chance is higher than you think. I managed to get two for myself and my brother. One, I had to come in-store early before the store opened (it was a public holiday, so it's convenient for me), and another, I placed C&C last night - ready to collect confirmation today. I spent roughly 3 hours or less checking stock and reading this thread. The best time to check stock is after closing time (~11 pm to midnight) and before the store reopens ~ 5 am to 7 am. No doubt, there was some luck involved, but at least for me, this deal is attainable.

      • Thanks for the info. I will keep checking during midnights/early morning.

      • before the store opened

How much earlier? Were people already queuing up at the door by then?

        • +1

at 5 am Monday, 49 stocks were released at the Springvale store. I arrived 15 minutes before opening. There were two people before me. Close to the opening, a lot more people arrived—everyone who was there by 10 am got one. You don't have to wait for the store to open. If the store has stock, you can place a sale order via chat at 7 am or use one of the self-serve kiosks. When the store opened at 10 am, 29 were left and sold out at 10:17 am.

          • @legelas: Pretty impressive that there was that many people that turned up before/by 10am given the last minute information. They would have happened to check between 5am to 10am on a monday, for springvale, have time to get there before/by 10am, and also be free or willing to drop any plans they would have had on a pub holiday. You cant really apply this to future releases as now this ‘how to’ knowledge is now known so it will be harder especially if you are also competing with people are thinking of double dipping or telling other people.

            • @richmond12: You are correct. I would call what I mentioned above "an experience" rather than a trick or how to. It's just how the Ikea ordering system works. For me, probably just lucky

As of right now, Perth has 1 in stock and C&C available. I'm thinking about getting another one for my dad.

      • Nah, you were just the exception to the rule.

  • damn i cant believe i didnt but one when i first saw it … seems all gone now

  • Another Ozbargain Scalper on Facebook with a more reasonable price of $450. For Sydney dwellers. Probably will sell his within 24hrs.

  • Got the notification that it was available for delivery to Sydney at 3:00am today. Thankfully I am a night owl so was able to snag it. The $40 delivery hurt though.

      • Saved 2400 on original Bosch price of 2699
        Well done!

      • I like that optimistic take!

  • It shows available for c&c at perth.

Once i click add to cart, next page shows not deliverable or available in store :(

    • Surely that was the issue, I'm sitting here wondering how come it still shows available after so many hours. Probably been bought by someone else already and just doesn't show on the website yet.

I thought the same when I saw 4 was available at the Richmond store. I placed the order with the intention of it being cancelled. However, it went through and I got the confirmation to pick it up. If you need one, place an order anyway. Worst case scenario, it gets cancelled, you get a refund, and 5 mins of your time.

    • +1

I placed an order yesterday and got cancelled straight away. I think somthing wrong with their system or stock level.

    • +1

I talked to online chat about that:
"IKEA is aware that there is a error on the IKEA Australia website with the stock level regarding click and collect for this item. There is currently no stock in WA for this dishwasher"

      • Thx.

Did they say they stock up everyday or any plans?

        • They said new stock is expected sometime next week.

  • +1

There is 1000 clicks on this Ozbargain page every 24hrs even 5 days after the deal was posted. Everyone is refreshing the page and if any stock in Sydney stores come up especially for delivery, it will be gone in milliseconds.

  • Has anyone received theirs and can confirm the quality?

    • +4

Did my first wash last night. Super quiet, dishes are much cleaner than my crappy old one.

Built quality much better as well.

Wife is happy so thats the most important thing

        Thanks for the input.

      • By any chance you are having issues with dishes not drying properly?

I tried extra dry function but dishes still wet. So I tried Hygiene Plus and Extra Dry, better but still wet here and there.

I wonder if this is the best it could dry with the Zeolith technology as well.

        • Yes it does not dry fully but it is better than my past dishwashers.

I am usually fine with it as I mostly turn on the machine after dinner and open the dishwasher door when it is done to dry out just before i sleep

          • @Section2: That’s what I used to do with my old one and dries well. But for the Diskad, it says on the manual keep it close for longer to dry.

            Opening still works better.

    • Received, still in box till I get time to install

2 more Sydney scalpers listing's on Facebook trying to get $150 - $200 profit. At least they are more reasonable at $450 and $500.

400-500 is pretty much would cover their cost and time. I think it's a fair price to pay for anyone who could not get one directly from IKEA

      • I agree! A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush

      • Is the 5 year warranty still valid if you buy it off a private seller?

        • why wouldn’t it if you have original purchase receipt?

  • This guy in Melbourne trying to sell it for $950

    • Lol what a dog

    • High level scum right there.

      • Spam him, 'You are famous, everyone is laughing at your Ozbargain dishwasher scalp attempt online'. lol.

“Present for my birthday”. What a tosser.

  • Just scored one in Melb, two available online for pick up in Richmond now for all the early birds…

    • Think it's gone unable go to delivery options even though it shows available

      • Yep i think it was a glitch. Bet there are a few planning to head to the store for a chance even though no stock.. good luck would love to see the action..

  • Northlakes Qld is showing a couple in stock. I think it was eight, And it can be ordered online and also looks like it’s available for click and collect.

    • Now, it's showing 25 units.

      • Did you try adding to cart and going to the payment screen though, couldn't be done due to error 5 minutes after your comment lol.

        • Order seemed like it was working this morning at like 5am - now it's throwing an error. It kinda seems like the site may not be handling the load or something.

          • @RNDM: Actually just tried after refreshing for 5 minutes and it finally went though.
@Appleboat you should try giving this another try, at least this time you can order and pay first before driving out.

  • YES!! cant believe i actually got one..
i thought for sure my order would be cancelled , got the ready to collect notification so will head up as soon as they open.
This really is the best bargain I have ever found on ozbargain.

  • +2

    @Brisbane folks,

    North Lakes has 25 available.

No issues with placing delivery orders, same with click and collect. That may change soon though.

    • +1

      @Brisbane folks

Man imagine if this actually pinged all the registered ozbargainers living in the tagged city lol.
EDIT: Thought delivery wasn't available but turns out it's suburb dependent (eg not southside). Otherwise wouldn't have minded shelling out the $39 instead of driving 40km.

    • +1

Thanks! I was able to order one delivered this about an hour ago. Score!

      • Have you received order/delivery arranged confirmation yet? Haven't heard anything yet hoping mine won't end up being like one of the other states' cases here where it gets cancelled later randomly.

        • Yes. I received order confirmation and an email to say my order is on its way.

  • Does this have auto door opening feature?

    • I don't believe so.

      • Yeah I think you are right, but it seems to have a feature they call "Zeolith" which supposedly dries it perfectly.
We will see about that. Mine is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow.

    • No.

  • Does anyone actually know why the price is so low? Has IKEA corporate not realised it's a pricing error? Or are they liquidating their top of the line inventory before they move onto a new product?

    • I think someone posted earlier saying that it's on clearance as the model is being discontinued?

    • Overstocked (ironically) and discontinued item apparently.

      • More is needed to justify the steep >80% discount. They could do half-price, turning the most expensive dishwasher into the cheapest one, which will sell. Or maybe it's a marketing campaign which executed poorly or not as planned

        • Overstock doesn't seem that unbelievable since I remember the last time they were trying to clear out (albeit not as expensive) induction cooktops at half price a couple of years back there wasn't this continuous restocking we're seeing now.

          • @vawiyoci: Overstock could push the price down a lot. But not to the point of 80% off. The only time I saw something discounted that much was closing down sales or something wrong with it. Hence, you mentioned the continuous restocking that we have been seeing.

            • +1

@legelas: Also the fancy mineral drying/zeolite thing hopefully won't be more trouble than its gimmick looking at the comments here and here. Though this might just be case of looking a gift horse in the mouth since people here aren't paying the full RRP of a Bosch haha.

              • +1

@vawiyoci: I guess it will be future me problem LOL

              • +1

                @vawiyoci:

Also the fancy mineral drying/zeolite thing hopefully won't be more trouble than its gimmick looking at the comments here(reddit.com) and here(reddit.com).

Don't be too concerned about finding problems being reported on the internet. You'll find posts like that about pretty much any feature in any appliance.

          • @vawiyoci: I have a feeling not many were buying them at $1,600 RRP. That’s premium territory and few knew they’re rebranded Bosch models.

At that price point you’d go and get a branded one if you didn’t know.

        • Bosch seem to dump stock from time to time at crazy prices when new models coming out. I've got done very nice blue tools from previous deals for basically nothing.

IMO they probably tell the retailer that the items are free and to just to clear the pipeline and not send the old models back.

    • +2

It is on clearance and thus the low price. If it wasn't on Ozbargain they would all be in stock still. Because a typical Ikea buyer does not know Diskad is a Bosch and would walk past the $319 price. The nerds and geeks here know it's a Bosch series 8 model and then the sheer amount of eyeballs on Ozbargain, pretty much sealed the deal and it mostly all sold out in milliseconds. As of this moment, this Ozbargain page is getting 1000-1300 clicks still every 24hrs so a lot of people refreshing checking stock every second of the day and any stock that comes in is sold in seconds and if click and collect is not available, 20 people rock up at the store at 10am opening. So keep refreshing the page every minute for the next 2 weeks :-)

      • +2

it has became a lottery :)

        • I'm glad I'm one of the winners! :D

    • Also, real estate. Each dishwasher is a pallet each. Another commenter said Ikea has a full warehouse of these. They obviously want to offload to store newer or other items.

  • Just realised the front panel is not available for purchase in stainless steel at the moment for my area unless I order at least two.

    • buy another dishwasher and problem is solved :)

      • +1

I have contacted customer support and they said I can order two panels for delivery and return one to the store.

        • Ah, that is great advice. I had one staff was joking with me about using the dishwasher for one year and then returning it

          • @legelas: They even said I can contact them and they will refund the delivery fee on the panels.
Now to think about whether I need to get the plinth as well or just leave it…

            • @keejoonc: wow, that's beyond my expectations. I will do the same then, I pretty much prefer a stainless steel front because my cabinet is not from IKEA, so at least it would look half-decent. BTW what is the plinth for?

              • +1

                @legelas:

                plinth

Kickboard/skirting if you care about seeing the bottom section here. The 80cm door should cover most of it?

              • +1

@legelas: It's to cover the bottom of the dishwasher

                • @keejoonc: I'd 100% get it. Keep dirt and rubbish from getting underneath the dishwasher. An 80-cm door would cover most but not all of the space. There will be a small gap at the bottom.

                  • @legelas: what would you get? matching Ikea one is $85.50 and no option for click and collect either. It's sold in 220cm x 8cm size.

                    • @keejoonc: I would probably get the stainless steel one cuz it'd be easier to clean. However, I might change my mind due to stock limitation

                      • @legelas: No idea why that small piece is as expensive as the door panel.

                        • +1

@keejoonc: You guys solved the mystery for this deal. Turns out this dishwasher is simply a loss leader for Ikea to offload overpriced joinery pieces.

                        • @keejoonc: It's just like printers are cheaper than ink LOL. I don't have an IKEA cabinet so I will probably get something cheap for the bottom piece

                          • @legelas: If you find a good alternative, please share.
Door panel I thought wasn't too expensive but the bloody plinth is a rip off!
Then again, can't complain when you consider the deal we are getting on the machine itself.

  • NSW / Sydney folks…..no stock last couple of days? Seems like all stock is going to Melbourne and QLD? One thing I have noticed is that this Bosch model is quite old also, released 6 years ago and it doesn't have a lot of features that even dishwashers in 2024 half the price has like auto door and energy saving drying after the cycle, etc. But when it came out, it was expensive and it still was last year at around $1500 so you can say you are buying Bosch build quality even though it is a 2018 model. It would explain the clearance price.

    • Bosch's 'Perfect Dry' (or 'crystal dry' for other countries) feature with Zeolith mineral for drying which Diskad has is $400 more in RRP than those with 'Auto Door' feature. 287 is still a bargain for a 2018 model.
