It appears that you have neglected to include your Sole Trader ABN 69273043974 on your website?

From where did you obtain iOS6.1 ?

    "but we cannot guarantee it."

    Why not?

Did you test a sample cable/adapter? If so, how can you be sure the cables/adapters shipped will be of the same quality as the sample? Have you purchased from this supplier previously?

If everything 'works out' - a good price for an AU shipped Lightning cable.

    EDIT:

However, it was not honest for you to make a false declaration in order to register the domain name nomorefees.com.au - I see that you used one of the few registrars that do not do their own checking on eligibility for .au domains. Your only trading name (that I can find) is Dolby Cameras.

    • Hello,

No, it is not a false declaration as the business started out as myself as a sole trader, and I have since formed a company.

If you have any doubts about us, please feel free to use PayPal as the payment method as of course you have buyer protection.

      Thanks!

To add, the domain transfer is in processing at the moment, hence why it is still in my personal ABN.

EDIT: I also appreciate that you want to make OzBargain a safe place. As a regular OzBargainer, I commend you! Keep up asking questions.

This is of no consequence. You must register a trading name such as "no more fees".

However, you still lied to your registrar in order to obtain the domain in the first place.

          Hi A3Australia,

Thank you for your advice. It is appreciated.

      • No, it is not a false declaration as the business started out as myself as a sole trader, and I have since formed a company.

Ah, YES it was a false declaration, and still is.

As s Sole Trader you had no eligibility to register that domain name.

As a company Astratto Investments Pty Ltd. you still have no eligibility to use that domain name.

The Trading name for Astratto Investments Pty Ltd. is VoucherLand.com.au

This does not have anything to do with the 'bargain' pricing on the Lightning items, but goes to the 'honesty' and integrity of your business.

Thanks A3Australia, I'll look into that. EDIT: The trading name nomorefees.com.au is in the process of being assigned to us :)

    Hi A3Australia,

Thanks for your questions. Our ABN is actually 96 155 081 155, company name Astratto Investments Pty Ltd. We're waiting on the domain transfer to go through :)

iOS 6.1 is obtained through the software update on the iPhone. Our supplier guarantees it to work with 6.0 and 6.01, however it appears some people have experienced difficulties with 6.1, I imagine this is with some of the advanced technologies within the Lightning Cable.

We have had stock from this supplier before with numerous products, and rest assured, the quality is quite satisfactory. Of course with any production run there may be a few faulty cables, and if yours does end up being faulty, we will of course replace it.

    Thanks!

Apologies for not using the reply button by the way!

"iOS 6.1 is obtained through the software update on the iPhone. "

Well they, Apple, are not offering me any iOS6.1 update as yet. Maybe because I am still waiting on my iP5?

"some people have experienced difficulties with 6.1, I imagine this is with some of the advanced technologies within the Lightning Cable."

Apparently Apple can 'block' unlicensed products via an iOS update? Obviously/apparently your supplier has not obtained a license?

"We have had stock from this supplier before with numerous products, and rest assured, the quality is quite satisfactory."

Hopefully, the Lightning products are going to be 'good'.

As I said before, it will be nice to get Australian shipped Lightning items at a good price. Quicker delivery than from China.

Unsure on if they can block the products, could be possible but couldn't give you an honest answer. Not too many suppliers in China have gotten the licence yet, hopefully next year!

      Thanks!

Unsure on if they can block the products,

Apparently the iOS can communicate with the chip embedded in the cable?

I wouldn't be surprised, pretty sure the technology in the cable is a bit more advanced than the good ol' 30 pin cable. I guess gone are the days of $0.50 cent cables for Apple devices

  • "some people have experienced difficulties with 6.1"

Whats the difference that could make 'some' people be experiencing difficulties, what a load of crap

    • Good question, I'm not too sure. I think it's maybe just a coincidence they had 6.1 and maybe received a faulty cable.

  • Looks like Apple are tightly controlling companies licensed to make Lightning cables etc.

The only/first after market supplier is Belkin.
