    • I would've thought it comes up when you open the Google One app, at least that's how you redeemed the 6 month trial of the 2TB Google One Plan that came with the Pixel 8 Pro.
      P.S. Gemini Advanced doesn't get shared if it's on a family plan.
      Does anyone know if you can activate the bonus 1 year of Gemini advanced on multiple accounts that are signed in on the Pixel 9 Pro, or does it limit it to the first account somehow?

        • You'll see red warnings everywhere saying your account storage is full and if you don't bring it below 15GB, you'll stop being able to receiving emails.

    Went and picked mine order up, the girl have no idea about the 350 gift card, and the other cashier at the counter served another customer who also picked up a 9xl pro did not give him the give card either. Not sure if he bought it thru this deal so i did not intervened. He walked out with only the phone. I had to wait for a manager to come down. So my point is, do not forget to mention your 350 gift card, as some of the JB staff will " forget" as well.

    • I had to ask as well when picking mine up. Cashier had to check current promos etc and called a manager. So some staff are unaware.

    For those looking for a tax invoice.

    When I picked up, I asked for a tax invoice, and they said it would be sent to me via SMS.

    Waited for a few hours, and called the store. They were able to send it to me straightaway (a link), and I could download a PDF file.

    It now shows in my JB account under in-store invoices.

    • For a TRS claim it specifies "get a valid paper tax invoice in English…"
      I imagine the PDF is valid, I would just need to print it out.
      Can anyone confirm?

      • I would print it out. But I thought there was a way to submit the claim online prior to getting to the TRS counter.

    Of all the invoices (15) in my JB account only the online purchases have my name (and address) on them. Name on the invoice is the minimum you would need for TRS or tax purposes.

      • I completed my purchase online but in-store if that makes sense. Ol mate sent me an email link with the purchase order to complete so I entered the $1700 gift card etc. He said I'll end up with digital gift card as it will show as online order.

  • Any recommendation for Pixel 9 Pro XL charger? Can I use any any charger for charging the Pixel? Like I have old 40W Huawei fast charger but the output V/A doesn't really match with the Google 45W charger. Will it be ok to use the old charger or will it impact battery health in long term? Thanks

      Slow charge is the best way to maintain battery health.

    • Your Huawei fast charger won't even register that it's connected. No Pixel (6 Pro, 8 Pro and 9 Pro XL) I've had has made any connection with either of my Huawei chargers (ones that came with Mate 10 Pro and P30 Pro), not even slow charging.

      • @BradH13 Yes you are right, the Pixel 9 doesn't register my old Mate 20 Pro charger even for slow charging I just checked. Any recommendations for a decent charger for Pixel 9 Pro which works with it? I reckon my old iPhone charger will work since I have used it with Pixel 7 but it's maxed at 20W.

        • I just bought the Google 30w ones years ago, but any charger that is PPS compatible and delivers 30w or more to the USB-C port will do.

          Most multi-port chargers are sold as a max wattage for the unit. You need to check what the individual ports can handle.

    • Yes I have taken 6 months plan with tink and trying from a week to unlink tink and Google but no luck. Google service asked me to contact tink and tink won't respond even after sending requests daily.

        Why not try your luck by dropping into JB this few days?

        Assuming you're planning to get the 256GB model, maybe…just maybe, the staff there can help you match it to the 128GB model price. The outcome will be extra $50 vs the expired deal, YMMV but still better than nothing

          • @[Deactivated]: It happened to a few lucky ones here during the pre-order where JB staff were happy to offer them a deal (ie, pay for the 128GB model, but get 256GB)
            As usual deals like this are hard to come by

            Meanwhile, the latest info I found on their website is $1400 off Pixel 9 Pro XL on the $99 plan

      I went out to my local Telstra store for something I needed to sort for my existing service and asked about the 9 pro. They have a google rep who comes by and apparently something with manufacturing issue/delay.

      Again, could be true but no idea

  • Anyone having trouble with Telstra's payment portal? I'm unable to add any alternative cards to pay. Tried 4 so far.

  • Did everyone receive their gift card on pickup? I was told that my gift card will be emailed to me within 24hrs, but received nothing so far…

    • Mine was a physical, picked up on arrival.

    • On pick up. Go back and insist it should be on pick up. They have a code to process it

    • A physical card was issued on pick up. How did you sign up for the deal? In person? Then you should get a physical card.

    • If you went to the counter to pay via the PoS terminal after your contract, you get it physical on pickup. They process it as a normal gift card sale and charge it to their Google Promo account.

      If your rep sent you an email to put through payment in-store but processed online after your contract, you'll get it in your email.

      There are mistakes happening though. The two girls at the counter knew I was owed a gift card but had NFI how to process it and had to ring their manager for help.

      • I think it's something to do with the pre-orders being processed as Click & Collect and therefore gift cards processed online or something. Would be funny if all those who got physical gift cards also receive digital ones in future.

    • When I picked up my phone they said it will go to my email because the salesman had me pay online next to him
      I never received the email gift card, called up and they said yeah nah they're supposed to give it to you in store, so I went back and spoke to their manager with my best Karen haircut and got the gift card
