Bosch Power Tool Batteries & 240 Volt Chargers from $49 Free Shipping - for Amazon Purchases

90

For those of us that benefitted from Amazon $25 off Bosch tools deal at http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/84949, Power Tool Specialists has on clearance the 240 volt versions of the chargers needed, as well as spare batteries, all with free shipping.

I know el cheapo stepdown transformers can be had for $25 - $30ish on ebay, but they reduce the portability of the solution by having to lug the transformer around with you as well as the charger.

Their complete clearance page (with other brand chargers, batteries and tools as well) is http://www.powertoolspecialists.com.au/filterShopProducts.do…

Direct 240v Replacement for the BC430 110v 30 minute charger that comes with the CLPK27-120 10.8V/12V combo is the AL1130CV - $49 free shipping
http://www.powertoolspecialists.com.au/loadShopSingleProduct…

Cheapest I could find on ebay for the AL1130CV above was about $70 with shipping but from the UK. Australian prices were $105 + shipping from Sydney Tools, one of the few places that sell the charger by itself.

Spare battery for the 10.8V/12V models such as above is $49 free shipping. Available for same price elsewhere without shipping - http://www.powertoolspecialists.com.au/loadShopSingleProduct…

240v replacement for the 18 volt battery charger is $79 free shipping - http://www.powertoolspecialists.com.au/loadShopSingleProduct…

Spare battery for the 18 volt models is $99 free shipping. Available for same price elsewhere without shipping - http://www.powertoolspecialists.com.au/loadShopSingleProduct…

Not sure if this is more suited to forums or not, as it's clearance and quantities are unknown.
Hope this helps someone.

  • Just saw those links myself.
Ended up buying a $26 step down off ebay however.

Opened the bosch charger today, and has a 170v cap, so wont like 240 at all.
Curious to see what is different between the 2 models.

Was hoping I could just supply 12v after the US step down, but less effort with step down.

    • I opened my charger today too :-). Was wondering where the 110v restriction was. Everything else seems OK for 250VAC+. Like you, I'm also very curious about what any other differences are.

I had a super cheap Walmart stepdown transformer I bought when in the US about 6 years ago, and I think it may have killed my BC430 charger (as well as power to my house. Twice), so for $49 this is a good solution for me. OTOH, I'll have a stepdown charger arriving from ebay in the next few days :-(.

    http://www.powertoolspecialists.com.au/loadShopSingleProduct…

It beats alltools by $10 and comes with free shipping.

    • And it's the faster version too.

  • The CLPK27-120 kit needs AL1130CV from what i can tell.
    AL1860CV is an 18v charger.

  • Any 36V bosch batts and chargers for those of us that got the lawnmowers?

If you are in Melb, you can pick up from their location near CBD (right next to melbourne uni).

Guy commented that they had not sold a bosch charger in yonks and suddenly there were heaps of orders for them! I told them it was OzBargain!

    • The power of reaching the right audience, at the right price of course.

  • Price of 18V charger up to $79.00, from $59.00

    • phew, got it in time.

      • Same here. They dropped the price of the 3.0Ah battery though, after i decided the 2.6Ah was better value.
