    This all sounds great, but @clear did you actually receive your unit? The seller has only existed for around a month and only has 5 followers.

    I ordered one of these last month from a different seller and received a fake product instead, so we should be careful

      I didn't order. The store's business license has been registered since 2023 so there's probably a non-Choice store belonging to them.

      Almost no chance. Many of the PSP games won't even run. The Visa emulation scene is not there on cheap handhelds.

    Does this come with pre-loaded games? Also is there a huge benefit with installing ARKos? Just looks a bit tricky as I'm not too tech savvy.

      We're not allowed to talk about preloaded games on OzBargain. It does however come with a micro SD card …

      I'd say run it without ArkOS and see how you find it.

    Ordered on 28/8 and just went to check shipping status.

    It says order expired with a message saying "Sorry, this order has been closed due to shipping problems. You can place the same order again"

    Out of stock? Seems weird they're saying I can place the same order again but I haven't been refunded yet. Haven't ordered much from aliexpress but it's giving me suss vibes

      That's dodgy. They probably ran out of stock but won't admit it. If they delay your refund just do a chargeback.

        Yeah I'll give them a few more days to get it refunded. A lot of happy customers on here though so I'll probably try again.

      Yeah I got mine today too. So far very impressed with it. The quality of the screen is excellent and the preloaded games are terrific. For $37 it far exceeds my expectations.

    UPDATE: ordered mine with this deal, and with my first time buyer voucher I ended up getting it for $37 shipped. It arrived yesterday, and it is in fact a real R36S and not a reshelled lower end console. Ended up installing a fresh copy of ArkOS on a new microSD, and USB Tethering to my phone to get internet access on it.

    Just finished dodongos dungeon on N64 ocarina of time using retroarch Glide64MK2 core with minimal issues (slight lag when opening kokiri shop, and occasional <1s stutters), chill penguin in PSP megaman X remake, first few levels tony hawk 2 ps1 (full soundtrack works on it too).

      yeah mine turned up too, preloaded with all the games/roms as well. Great for ~$40 delivered.

      people recommend reloading on a good brand SD card, and could use the second SD card for games.
      Not sure if i'll bother but bound to stuff up sometime if you don't. Just seeing what instructions are around.

        i downloaded it from their git

        on the sdcard mine came with, there was a empty txt file named "v5", so i assumed it was using the v5 screen and downloaded "Panel 4 (V5)" version from the git. if you flash it and u have a black screen, just copy the DTB files from the original SD card and u should be good to go.

        as for sd reader, i just used the one built into my laptop. if you dont care about speed, just get the cheapest usb2 reader you can find. the main difference in the more expensive ones is the read\write speed

          Thanks mate, will get around to doing this. As I know the stock one will mess up eventually. I had a spare 128 somewhere but stuffed if I can find it t. they recommend a 16gb for OS, would U bother with two SD cards?

            @G-Shock: yeah the stock sd cards a prone to self corruption, from something as simple as not being able to load ur game saves to the system not even booting. i wouldnt bother with 2 sd cards unless you are wanting to load it up with almost every game ever made that it supports, and are forced to spread it over 2 sds. i think they rec a minimum of 16gb, not max. i used a samsung evo plus 64gb card if that helps. good luck!
