        dont think it has a input.. I really wouldn't think it can record from another source other than its own internal DVT-T card.

          Digital video recorders with analogue to digital video conversion cost a lot more than the most basic $25 Set Top Box with "PVR features" sold from an outlet called 2nds World!!
          Ive used a better Olin PVR that struggled to even record digital TV.

    Alot of set top boxes and modern tv's have record features to USB storage. Why not go for the WD TV Live Streaming box.. for $49 (with cashback) http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/86892

    Probably great if you have a TV without digital tuner though. HD real bonus though.

      Nope its only a media player, but alot of new tv's have PVR built in.. I never use PVR feature I find it more usual just to focus on the media player aspect.
