Bonus points arrived just now. Bought on wednesday

    • Good on ya! Same situation as you and they are also now showing. Annoyingly slow from flybuys. Woolworths rewards is definitely a quicker show.

    • yeah.. my bonus points also arrived. Bought on Wednesday morning.

  • Can someone please confirm if this works for variable amount cards (ie. the $20 - $500 card)? The details only mention bonus points for fixed amount cards.

    • +1

Yes it does, i bought 3 of them (2x$500 & 1x$300) and seperate to 3 transactions.

However standard points will arrived will show in 1 transaction from the flybuys app next day after 5PM. Then 2 days later there will have 3 different transaction on the bonus point. (I brought on Wednesday morning, and get the standard points on Thursday PM, Saturday AM bonus point is arrived).

  • saaad out of stock, I want to buy 800GC. Someone knows when it will be restocked?

    • Depends on your store doesn't it. Some still have plenty of stock

      • I went to 4 different Coles stores in the past two days and there were no Apple GC on the shelves.

    • lucky, I took the train to Coles, which is a little more remote, and bought it.

  • Received bonus points this morning…👍

  • Bought yesterday morning and all my points have come in this arvo

  • Can we buy this new M4 MacBook Pro with this gift card? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/874235

      Yeh, no issues

  • Sorry dumb newbie questions. I’ve never bought an Apple gift card.
    - I want to use it to buy Mac online
    - is there only one type of gift card? Or are there multiple types of gift cards such as for iTunes only? I don’t want to accidentally buy $1k in gift cards that can’t be used on the apple education store.
    - once purchased I simply add to my Apple account asap. I assume I can do this via my iPhone?
    - should appear as Apple Cash when I log into the store?

    Ty

    • Yes, only one type of Apple gift card. Yes, you can redeem them to your Apple Account Balance on your iPhone with a limit of $4999. Yes, it will appear as Apple Account Balance on the Apple Online Store which you can use to pay for your Mac. If your Mac is over $4999 then you pay the rest with Apple gift cards (not redeemed to your Apple Account Balance yet) and/or a bank card.

  • I don’t already have a flybuys account. Should I just sign up or is there a deal to gain points, like federal etc I should do?

    • Not sure what you mean by federal. I would just sign up.

      • Oops referral

On the screen will it show the 20x when you are buying?

  • Anyone else is having the same issue activating cards?

Bought some Apple GCs 30 mins ago and made sure they were all in original sealed and no sign of tampering. Tried to add to my Apple account, some worked but some couldn't be used with error "The code entered is not valid". Went to Coles store and they said I had to call 1800 number, called that number and was told there is an issue with GC activation and asked me to wait 24 hours and try again.

    • Does the code on the pack match with the one on the card?

      • OMG, no. The ones that can't be redeemed have different code on the card to the the pack. What should I do now?

        • +1

If it is different then it means the pack has been tampered with.

This is what it should look like. https://imgur.com/a/ud7eXNW

I would suggest going back to Coles and tell them that the card was tampered with. If that doesn’t work then you will need to contact Apple and see if they can cancel the original card and hopefully give you a new PIN code.

            @SleepyKoala88: Thank you!

Finally got my funds back. Just an update in case other people have the same issue.

I went back to the store as soon as (< 20 mins) I realised the tampered GCs, the store wasn't very helpful and said they couldn't do anything, said I had to call Coles customer support to get it investigated.
Called Coles customer support, 1st person said they were having issues with Apple GCs activation and asked me to wait 24 hours and try agian. Called again, 2nd person asked me to send photos of reciept and GCs, their GC team will invesitgate and it will take up to 5 business days.

Saw this comment a few hours later. Called Apple support, was told the GCs were still not receemd and they froze them. They asked me to send photos of reciept and GCs and said it could take up to 3 business days to investigate. About 5 hours later Apple emailed me with new codes and asked me to call them so they can activate the codes just before I redeem them.

So based in my experience, if you get switched GCs, call Apple immediately, they are the most helpful. Don't waste your time going back to the store.

  • Has anyone redeemed these GCs while using their 'education savings'? Are these savings available via UniDays etc.?
Also can I use Vanilla GCs to pay for Apple GCs instore at Coles?
I need to buy MBA for my school kid, who has (edu.au) email address but cannot register on UniDays as is younger than 16.

    • +1

You don't need UniDay or EDU email address; go to the Uni shop at the bottom of the Apple page. I believe you cannot use GC to buy GC, I remember seeing someone post above about this on this thread.

  • Can anyone shed light on when this ends? Would it be 11:59pm tonight (4th Nov) or 11:59pm tomorrow (5th Nov)?

    • +1

What makes you think it’s tonight? The terms in the OP and the deal both state tomorrow.

      • says "to 5/11", i was unclear on whether it's inclusive

        • +1

Doesn’t “to” mean inclusive? Otherwise they would have said to 4/11.

    • new sales week begins Wed, so you have tuesday inclusive to buy

      • sweet, thanks! maxed out today hope to do the same tomorrow

  • Edit: sorry - already asked above and apparently it does.

The highest denomination at my store is $200 but they also have one that you choose the amount up to $500.
Does this work if I use the card where you choose the amount?

    I need about $1400 :-)

    • +1

Yes, I did exactly this to get a higher value as I need to replace my Mac Mini. When you get to the checkout, you tell them how much and they type it in. e.g. $500 + $500 + $400.

My local Coles restocked today on those $500 cards, so for anyone who missed out over the weekend it might be worth checking your local before this ends tomorrow.

  • WARNING:
My St George CC was blocked by freud. Two processed but the third didn’t so I assumed I had a reached a limit. 30mins later received text my card was blocked. Spent 10mins on phone to have card unblocked.
I have no concerns about the inconvenience but just a heads up you might need to make a call.

  • For those in Melbourne - Coburg North is your friend today. They higher denominations are hidden behind $50 cards, but I found two $0-$500 cards there last night.

iPhone ordered, just waiting for the points to hit my account.

It’s worth noting that coles has a 5 gift card limit per store no matter how much I explained I wasn’t being scammed and was using them to buy an iPhone, so finding the highest denomination gift cards is like finding gold.

  • Everything is loaded on my Apple Account; now, I just need to wait for the Black Friday deals to purchase my new iPhone and iPad.

    • When have apple ever given discount on their iPhones from their official store?

      • They don't but you can get GC on certain product on BF.

  • If anyone still wants these, Coles Springvale has fully restocked all denominations including variable load cards. Plenty available at the time of writing.
