  • So this weighs the same as an old 63cm Rank Arena woodgrain CRT TV then? Cool

  • Will this be eligible for TRS?

  • Would it make a good PC monitor?

  • +1

    go one for the Tarago.

  • thanks op bought 10

  • +3

Porn will never be the same again!!

  • Going to be ozbaragined again lol

  • +1

I initially thought that OP messed up the prices when I read it. Had to read it a few times. Holy guacamole!

  • Can I use this as a monitor?

  • There is literally no wall in the lounge of my 70s house that could fit this. It would have to be mounted over one of the doors

    • Actually if you wall mounted it in such a way that it could be pushed out to accommodate the fireplace it would work, or you could build a custom stand for it that would fit the hearth. Not a good use of the space though

  • Look's like its the one that Linus moved into his theatre room. The screen does looks pretty good.

Ugh has dead pixel, better take it back..

  • Bought 6 to make 1 fancy feature wall in my living room.

  • Bought a Sony 85" for just over $2000 for a 2022 model, didn't measure it before I bought it, thought it would be a little bigger than my old 60"..

    IT FILLED THE WHOLE WALL!

This size would be ginormous for a 115" model!!

PSA : Please check your available space..

I would not feel the need to go bigger than 85" IMO.. besides needing 2 people to move it and help setup, anything larger would be crazy IMO.

  • Also, if you are putting it on your house insurance, will probably need its own special quote as an "extra"..

  • +3

Wow it's not everyday I save $10,000 on ozbargain. I feel rich now.

    • +1

The more you buy, the more you save.

      Get 100, save $1,000,000 !!!

      • Sounds like a plan. I should speak with a builder to see how many would be enough to cover every surface of a house. Floor, ceiling, everything. I'm thinking of building a 5 br out of these.

  • +4

20 grand to brag you bought a TCL lol

  • Finally. I was sick of feeling poor with my 98” TV.

  • In terms of area size, this is 313.02% of a 65". But still 4k resolution?

  • "this deal is genuinely incredible and feels like a no-brainer" not sure if this post is meant as sarcasm.
Do people acutally spend this kind of money on TVs?
I'm feeling a bit povo if this wasn't posted for laughs.

    • The first plasma TVs were $19,995 at HN, and that was years ago. Some people with far too much money will buy them.

  • Thanks Op, can't wait to stream high quality xxx rated movies

  • It's bigger than my bed!

  • Thanks. Bought zero

  • Besides a few that will get a tax rebate for a business, nobody in their right mind is buying these, when projectors are 1/4 of the price for good ones, capable of a bigger size too.

  • Since this is Ozbargain, wouldn't you rather get 200 inches in 4K for $139.99, and keep the change?

    • +1

Display resolution: 1280 x 720 is 4k? (projector specs are a pain to decipher)

      • I believe you, too lazy to read the fine print, but it said 4k so i used it to make my point mostly about $139 vs 30 large

  • 25 years ago, you could have bought a car for this much.

Theres not many people able to afford a big enough house now for this tv

    • +1

you can still buy a car with this much today.. 25 years ago you can almost buy a house in the country

    • You don't need a big or expensive house, just a house that has one wall that is big enough.

  • I'm Micheal Jack with the popcorn.

  • Just get a used 4k projector for $1000

    • +3

A projector will never be comparable to a tv in terms of brightness. Especially in daytime. Stating the obvious.

In any case, you are paying to be an early adopter for a massive screen. Prices will come down. If I had the money I would consider this size though.

      • +2

Man, they are fine, just close the blinds, don't go full video geek. I used to be like you, then I just got a 'cheap' $3000 4K pixel shifting projector and it's bloody great. Is it OLED quality, hell nawww. Is it 'bloody great'? Yes, especially all the mates lounging back on Movie nights with a beer in hand. 120" 4K video plasted on the projector screen, awesome. Stay away from video nerds and geeks and you will see, projectors are 'just great'. Close the blinds.

  • +1

Remember lads it is not the size that matters …..

  • 20k and not even 8k

  • -1

Definitely getting extended warranty with this. ACL will only cover me for 2, maybe 3 years tops.

    • +2

Doesn't ACL cover you for what is a reasonable expectation for a TV to last. Paying $20,000 to $30,000 I'd expect at least 5-7+ years

  • +1

Only 4k? That ain't enough for that size!

  • Ozbargained?

  • Looks like sold out

  • That sale price takes me back to the days of working in retail and selling Pioneer Plasmas

  • +1

Warranty 1 year? Even $800 TV from TCL comes with 3 years warranty

  • You save more if you buy 75" + 40" TV combined, not that hard

  • Moving house must be really fun with one of these.

  • I like that we are entering the next stage of above 100". The price obviously doesn't make sense and it will be a lot lower in 1-2years. just look at what happened to the current 98-100" generation, which is not that old. They can be had for less than 3k. I would assume stores don't really want to have them sitting in warehouses and taking up space.
Also 100"+ for my taste needs 8k. around 85" 4k is just ok.

  • +1

if anyone is planning to buy ,then use my shop back 😀😀😀

  • I knew there was one day that some would say that 4k is too blurry and its arrived. Here I am watching 1080 FullHD on my 75" 4k tv and its clear enough to me.

  • Thank you, did snag one for the new home cinema.

  • In b4 a 65" OLED is a better buy

  • With 244 upvotes as I'm reading this, looks like 244 members just handed in their OzB membership card :p
