IMPORTANT
Our NBN services are CGNAT IP only, we don't have an option for free dynamic public IP addresses.

However, we can offer a static IP for $2.20 per month, normally $5.50

Our only POP is in Melbourne, all traffic will route through Victoria. ACT, NSW, TAS and SA are unlikely to notice any difference, but QLD, WA and NT might notice the difference.

BYO Modem/Router only. We don't provide any hardware with this offer.

Authentication is DHCP/Auto, if your current service uses PPOE (username/password), you'll need to update your router, or reset it.

Our system is prepaid and you'll need to maintain a positive balance, if the account balance drops to minus the service will be suspended.

Billing is daily and deducted from your account balance, as long as you maintain a positive balance the service will remain active.

You can just add small top up amounts every few days if you prefer.

We don't advertise our NBN services publicly, only within our portal to existing customers.

Provisioning is a manual process, signup here and register as a user, then reply to the system emails you receive and request this offer, and we'll walk through the process with you.

There's no contract, you can cancel any time and you'll only be charged for the days the service is active.

If you want to schedule the transfer for a future date, just go through the signup process and let us know in the email you send through, let us know the date.

If you're looking for a phone service as well, check out our Voip offer here:

@BuyNow Think Later: If you're in Sydney, have all the traffic route through Melbourne will add a slight latency, in most cases it won't be noticeable, it will mostly only affect gamers, for general internet browsing, emails and some video streaming, you are unlikely to notice.

  • Billing is daily and deducted from your account balance, as long as you maintain a positive balance the service will remain active.

Does that mean clients can take vacations from the service when away?

    • +6

Yes, the service can be suspended at any time for any period of time and billing stops, then start it up again when you're back.

      • I signed up, got the registration confirmation email to log in, legged in, got the log in confirmation email, and now what? I don't see where to sign up for the service on the website. Do I need to add an organisation?

        • +1

While logged in use the Send a Message button under the menu and we'll walk through it with you.

      • So great for FIFO workers? :-)

        • Yes, anyone who is only using their connection for part of a month.

          • @siptalk: thinking this might work well for me, I have a property, think of it like a holiday home where I only need internet maybe 4 or 5 days a month, mainly on weekends. given that it is billed daily, if I just top up when I need it is there any problem with doing that? is there any period of time where the service will be suspended if it is not used for so long. and how long does it take to come back online once I have topped it up?

            • @samx79: If the account drops to zero the service will be cancelled, you can add credit and email us and we'll activate it again, normally that takes 15 minutes or so.

If you know you don't need the service for a while, just email and ask to cancel it and it will stop billing.

Can we run VPN softwares like Surfshark or NordVPN?

    • +3

Yes, not sure how well it would perform across the 25m connection but there's nothing stopping you from using it.

  • -2

So basically a wireles/access point using someone elses internet.. Gotcha.

      Upload speed is half (5Mbps)

    • +2

$20 off not $20 per month

  • +3

I use siptalk. John is fantastic to deal with.

    • +1

Thanks for the shout out, much appreciated. :-)

  • You service opticomm network addresses?

    • +1

Yes, but not under this deal sorry. If you email through from the contact page and let us know what you're looking for we should be able to work out a deal for you.

  • Hello John, if I miss this deal but still want to bring a service across at a later date is $49.50 the current monthly cost of a 25/10Mbps service?

    • +4

Mention this offer and ask for $49.50 we'll give it to you.

  • Does this work for fixed wireless nbn? Taradale 3447

    • +1

      Yep, should be ok.

      • What about a brand new connection? Sorry I should have asked in the original post.

        • +1

Yep that's fine, this offer covers new or transfers.

  • +2

Seems like a good deal, not for me, but still a good deal for some.

  • +6

Have Siptalk connections at mine and my parents house and can vouch for quality of the service.

    • +2

Thanks for the shout out, much appreciated. :-)

  • Can I make the request for the beginning of next month (i.e., 01/02/2025)? Because that's the end of my bill cycle for the current ISP.

    • +1

Yep that's no problem, go through the signup and reply to the system email, let us know the day you want the service provisioned and we can schedule it in.

  • Can we also pause the connection, if i am away on a holiday for a month?

    • +1

Yes, you can suspend the service any time and it stops billing, then you can restart it again when you're ready.

      • Thank you.
Sorry, forget to mention can i use my own router TP-link Archer VR1600v?

        • +3

Yes, and that's a very good point, it's only BYO modem/router.

      • How does that work in terms of the 3 months - I presume you just lose the paused time at the cheaper rates ?

        • +2

Yes, the discount rate period is fixed to a certain date, if you pause the connection it doesn't change.

  • +3

Great to see under $50 options. Hopefully at some stage big players can provide $50 options as well.

    • +1

NBN wholesale price forbidding cheap deal unfortunately, NBN 50 under 50 is no longer possible.

    • agreed not everyone wants/needs superfast connections and Its terrible that there are no such options. Older people used to love the $20 pm ADSL connections but cannot justify spending $50 + for a basic internet conmnection.

  • 50 speed please~

    • +1

Please email through to support and I'll see what kind of deal we could do for you on a 50/20 speed plan.

  • Great plan. Do you offer residential voice service with an unlimited call package?

Smallest NBN profit margin provider. Would be great to explore NBN 50 option.

  • WHat modems will be compatible with this service?

    • Any modem/router, your existing one will normally be fine, unless it's user/pass auth by PPPOE and locked by your current provider.

  • Any chance for Opticomm?

    • Not at this price unfortunately, but if you reach out via the contact page and ask we can let you know what kind of deal we could do.

  • Cna we sign up for future date connection?

    • Yes, go through the signup and reply to the system email, let us know what date you would like the transfer to happen.

  • I already have a SIP account - can I just add an NBN service to the account?

Also, my account has a balance of a few dollars, which I see when I log in, however it says "Account Cancelled This account is cancelled."

How do I get it reinstated? I haven't used the SIP service for a while.

    • You can add the NBN service to an existing account, yes. Can you email through to support please with your details and I'll sort it out for you.

  • Are there any upfront costs or do we just sign up and put a $7 in there and it’ll work for the week?

I wouldn’t mind trying this as a dedicated line aside for my gaming. Are there peak time CVC issues? I’m in the ACT

    • +2

Yep, exactly that. No upfront costs, just topup the account with a few dollars and we'll provision the service.

There should be no peak CVC issues, we have a burstable backhaul link with Superloop, you should get full speed all the time.

  • +2

Great deal for someone light on gaming and downloading.

  • +2

Missed the midnight deadline to have 6 months at $29.70, looking to port over two services, my parents and parents in law nbn, can you extend this 6 months reduction to them?

    • I'm in the same boat but I can do 3 services but not until April (2 x sisters and me).

    • +4

Sorry, how about 4 months if you signup by midday and are ready to transfer the services across before the end of this week? Send the emails through if you're good with that.

      • Thx, registered and sent email.

  • Reading the comments about the daily billing and ability to suspend service when required.
How does it work exactly? If there is no credit and the service is suspended. Is it possible to instantly deposit funds and reinstate immediately or is there a process to restart ie takes days and a bit of back and forth with support?

    • +1

If your account drops to zero the service will be cancelled, reactivating it will take an email to support who'll check if the account has credit and then provision the service again, which normally takes 10 - 15 minutes. So possibly hours for reactivating but not days.

      • Thank you for confirming.

  • Dam missed out on the 6 months price. Would be keen for a 50_25 price

    • I don't have the same wiggle room on the bigger plans, please send an email through and ask.

  • Oh no! missed out on 6 months :( hope I can make it to 4 months please, also I signed up as instructed here and when can I expect an email to come through to proceed with the transfer to ASAP? thanks!

    • I dropped a message through user login "Send a Message" hoping to hear from Support soon. Thanks!

      • Just to let you know I just transferred mine across without any issues..thanks for the promotion given and to John who carried it out with ease along with the support given!

  • Bummer about no dynamic IP addresses… needed a cheap NBN service at the old property to keep the security cameras working until we sold.

    • $31.90 for 3 months with a static ip, I don't think there's anything cheaper around.

      • Agree. But unless I can add the static IP address using my phone, it's not gonna work out. I only have a desktop PC and my mobiles for computing these days.

Also means I'll need to make a trip to the old property.

        • Huh? Add it with your phone? The static IP will be set by Siptalk, all you need to make sure is that your router is set to IPoE (doesn't need a password for the internet account connection).

If your current provider (RSP) requires a password to connect to the Internet, that is what you need to change for this connection to work.

  • Hello
Any deals for 50Mbps plan? Although I've signed up for this one at the moment.

Wait, there was a 6 months deal too!! Whatt!! Missed it. :(

    • +1

      I don't have the same room on price with the higher speeds, let me know if these are any good;

      50/20 - $60.50 for 3 months then $71.50
      100/20 - $67.10 for 3 months then $79.20

  • Im wanting to sign up with the extra 3 months at the lower price for a property I have which is not my primary residence. The emails I have received so far are from Automated systems.

Do I wait for an email from an actual person to request a connection and future date to switch across.

    • +1

You need to reply to one of those emails you get from the system, then we'll work through the process with you.

      • OK done.. When I see automated message I usually assume no one will read a reply

  • Regarding that "you can cancel any time and you'll only be charged for the days the service is active." Don't we have to give 30 days notice as stated in T&C? Cheers

    • +3

No, you can cancel any time and you'll only be charged for days the service was active.

  • Curious why you dont just put the POP in the middle of Aus? even service for all?

    • +1

The closest urban centre to Australia's population weighted "middle", i.e. the population centroid, is Canberra (unironically).

    • +2

Not too many datacentres in the middle either. Normally Sydney would be the best place to setup to be 'central', but we're based in Melbourne so that's where our main network is.

  • Would this speed be enough for a single person - for light gaming and watching 4k shows on my TV ?

    • It should be but the only way to know for sure is to try, everyone's usage is a little different. You could literally connect to this service for a day and move somewhere else if it's not good for you.

    • It should be. I just signed up for fun and had no issues streaming something @4K on Netflix. I have my QoS set to 20Mbps to help keep latency under control for gaming. No buffering with Netflix using bandwidth up to 19Mbps.

  • Do you have a parental control portal from your server end? Kids get smarter now and modem was reset frequently to get access.

    • +1

Assuming you're talking about kids inside the house? I don't think there's anything anyone can do about that, maybe lock the router in a cupboard?

  • Hi John, If I sign up do you cancel my current service automatically or do I need to do that? (it also has VOIP that I need as well)
    Thanks

    • +2

While the losing provider is usually notified when a service transfers away, I'll always recommend you cancel your account with them once the transfer is compete. And depending on who that provider is, you may need to give notice of cancellation prior. You should check.

If you have a phone number as well, we'll normally port that at the same time, which requires getting the number porting submitted and waiting for a cutover date, then schedule the NBN transfer for the same day/time.
